Rare freezes.
Does not support ultrawide resolutions. Even though the menu shows e.g. 3440x1440, the game still restricts to 2560x1440.
Overall, it works flawlessly.
On 3440x1440 the outer frame was not fully visible, so text was a bit cut on the bottom.
Only somtimes, free mouse look didn't work. Restarting game fixed it.
Only problem I noticed was the mouse pointer that is a bit off (hot spot). Perhaps it's because of my ultra widescreen display.
The mouse hot spot is a bit off.
Can't get past the main menu - because uplay is making problems.
Works without problems but has some performance issues with my config.
Runs good with some with occasional performance problems with my config.
Does not start.
Even tried Eggroll proton versions - didn't help.
Game runs great but drops back top menu after a few minutes with "Authentication timed out".
Drops back to menu with "Authentication timed out"
Worked before, but mouse control now broken
Mouse movement and clicks doen't work anymore allways.
Everything works - except 3440x1440 resolution set in the game menu didn't change to this native resolution.
This was the free Demo version of the game.
Runs pretty well on the latest proton 5.13-4 and the latest MESA 20.3.1.
It even runs on my AMD RX460 low end graphics card!
V 1.5 and Proton 7.0 = perfect
V 1.5 supports AMD FSR and is fast even on non high end systems.
No controller support; occasional freezes.
Some freezes for a second every now and then.
Only keyboard worked.
This is the free version of DEAD OR ALIVE 6. You have to get used to press keys on your keyboard which is awkward for a fighting game. The freezes are annoying, but it's playable up to a point.
Runs out of the box.
Screen resolutions on ultrawide screens sometime stretch and sometimes not.
Some problems with ultrawidescreen. Sometimes it stretches, sometimes it does not.
Almost perfect with default Proton (only few slow downs).
Unfortunatley, no ultrawide screen support.
With invisible enemies (often are visible too late) it is no fun to play.
Enemies often not visible.
Strange: everything seems to work, but enemies often are invisible until you approach them very close.
No problem at all (Proton 6.3-8) runs like Linux native. Great job, Valce, for Proton - great job, Rockfish, for using standard APIs.
Still fails after main screen with "EasyAntiCheat service not running" error. :-(
Fails after initial screen with "EasyAntiCheat service not running". For this to fix you have to:
install "Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime" within Steam client (just type this in your library search field and install it.
right click the installed "Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime" app and select "Manage > Browse Local Files". Copy the path of the new window (e.g. "/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime/") - this is the
right click the installed "For Honor" app and select "Properties". Go to General > Launch options and insert:
PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME="
Happy slaying!
Just install "Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime" from the Steam Client Library and the game will finally start without "EasyAntiCheat service not running" error. The game runs without any problems and "Story Mode" (single player) is flawless. However, multiplayer (local/WLAN or internet) still doesn't work.
With "Proton EasyAntiChat Runtime" from the steam library installed, it runs flawlessly. (But unly story mode - no multiplayer, so far.)
Just install "Proton EasyAntiChat Runtime" from the steam client library and "EasyAntiCheat" will work without any further command line tinkering.
Proton 5.0.9: after the intro an ingame error dialog "EasyAnticheat is not startet" apears and the game quits.
The intro played well, I had to start a seconds time uintil the uplay client showed the game. But after the first intro video, nothing continues. The stupid EasyAntiCheat is another buggy thing after the uplay client.
Perfect out of the box with default Proton. (If turbo mode destorts screen, delete SaveGame/device.cfg)
Flawless with default Proton.
It supports Ultrawide but not with the correct 21:9 aspect ratio, so it looks stretched horizontaly.
No problems with latest Proton. Fast gameplay, hard action racing. :-)
With Proton Experimental I was finaly able to see that all is true what is said: it's about 100 times worse than Flatout 1 & 2. :-(
Absolutely flawless out of the box!
With the default settings (high, AMD FSR 3, 3440 x 1400) the game runs absolutely smooth and looks great with the default Steam Proton!
Runs perfect out of the (Steamplay default Proton) box!
With AMDs FSR and high quality settings it looks fantastic even on mid range rigs.
Few microfreezes and seldom crashes.
Microfreezes sometimes
Occasional crashes.
Free DLC cars don't work.
Runs flawlessly with Proton 5.0-9 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with AMD RX 5600 XT and MESA 20.0.4.
Windowed fullscreen works.
Some minor hick ups / micro freezes which could be due to my rather old CPU (AMD 7850K).
Runs almost flawless with ultrawidescreen problem.
Problems with ultrawidescreen. Even 2560x1440 looks streched
Rare freezes
If you loved 1nsane, you will also love In2ane!
Runs flawlessly (with rare freezes).
Rarely, it just freezes.
To play in any other resolution than max. 2560x1440 - e.g. 3440x1440, , change
steamapps/compatdata/35320/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/my games/insane2/user_config.cfg
seta r_width "3440" seta r_height "1440"
Error 106: Security module initialization failure
When quitting , saving will hang the whole game.
It's playable with Proton GE 6.13 but has some texture problems.
Textures sometimes missing or loading too late.
Only run with ProtonGE 6.13
Even changing settings to low just leads to crash when "play".
Some minor clipping problems and some hick ups.
Runs absolutely perfect!
After start, you only see a black screen but here the music - use ALT+TAB for switching to go into the main menu screen. (No problem when playing in window mode.)
If the screen stays black after loading and you here the music, press ALT + TAB to switch ... this shows the menu screen to start a game.
Game runs flawlessly with default Proton. But in game menu (e.g. help dialogs in game) it freezes if you try to continue with Q or E.
When the game starts with a space scene, an error dialog pops up ("Operation failed: Unknown error 0x88982F80").
It took a long time for Proton to run PinballFX 3 - but finally it works - without any problems.
A bit slow sometimes but playable.
Some bugs with stuck balls.
A few bugs with stuck balls.
Does still not work.
Also does not work with MESA 22.1 and Proton 7.0-2 (and ray tracing capable graphics card AMD RTX 6500XT):
"No ray tracing capable GPU found."
Still does not work with latest experimental ... also not with launch options AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV RADV_PERFTEST=rt mangohud %command%
Works after tweaking settings - especially activating AMD FSR 1.0 (otherwise it was very slow).
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV RADV_PERFTEST=rt %command%
You have to test misc graphics settings until its playable.
Runs flawlessly with Proton Experimental.
Requires a free RockStar account.
Game starts only in window mode.
Every now and then everything freezes for 1 or 2 seconds.
Worked until starting a new game. Had to use Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF to get it fully running.
With standard Proton 5.0-9, the game starts until menu. But when you try to begin a new game, the screen turns black. I set DirectX to 11 and graphics to Window mode. But only using Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF helped. It's probably because of some windows media codecs because with Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF, it continued at the first video sequence. The game runs then flawlessly, but only in window mode and with some second freezes now and then..
Some cut scenes are black and occasional hick ups.
Occasional hick ups
Some cut scenes are black - just audio and subtitles.
Offers ultrawide resolution in menu, but only shows black borders.
Runs flawlessly with Proton 5.13-4 on low end hardware, but does not support ultrawide resolutions.
Does not support Ultrawide (3440x1440) - screen will be streched.
With Proton 5.0.9, there was a bugfix with the Origin client.
I killed and restartet 3 times until I proceeded the successful installtion and registration of the Origin client. After this initial (Origin) problems, the game itself runs perfectly.
Runs out of the box with Proton 6.3-8, but not very fluent with some hick ups.
Works good; multiplayer did not work.
Sometimes microfreezes.
Extremely slow.
No matter if Proton Experimental or DirectX 12.
Perfect with default Proton (9.0-3)
Looks great on mid range rig in 3440x1440 AMD FSR 3 (motion blur turned off).
Does not run with misc SteamPlay versions.
Tried with Proton 3.7 - 5.0.9 and Proton-GE (5.9, 5.11) ... it does not start. :-(
Heavy texture issues and other graphics bugs.
Black squares only appear of you have "lens flares" on in the graphics settings. Audio always worked but is nnow broken with Ubuntu 23.04.
Audio does not work anymore since Ubuntu 23.04
Black squares if lens flares are turned on.
A bit slow but no bugs occured.
Still too eraly with occassional crashes.
Ultrawidescreen does not fit on real screen size.
Flawless with latest Proton 6.x
Use launch option "-unlockaspectratio" to enable other screen sizes.
Too slow and some graphics bugs.
I have lots of 3D Windows games but this one is uterly slow on my RX6600XT.
I play this for over 2 years. In the beginning it worked but slow. Than it didn't work anymore with later Proton versions. Now it works again but still very slow.
Game runs, but it's on low resolution, fullscreen does not change anything, when you move the mouse,...
... the screen rotates continously - until you move the mouse in the opposite direction.
Game runs great, but game saving does not work.
"Archive cloud save error" => senseless to play the game if progress cannot be saved!
Progress can't be saved due to "archive cloud sync" error. So, when you start the game again, all progress is lost. For this reason: "unplayable". :-(
