Accasional crashes, but i had those on windows too. Otherwise runs great.
Crash after around 20-30 min on Vulkan, Direct X Doesnt work at all.
Ignore the review i made before this, hope i can find a fix its a little annoying
Works great no issues

Seems like one of the recent NVIDIA driver updates stops the game from working, as a few weeks ago it has been working just fine, but now I had to switch the NVIDIA driver to the 535 version through AUR for the game to work. Before downgrading the driver, launching the game with DX12 caused it to crash during initial loading (the gray bar one), while using Vulkan caused the game to freeze during the same loading screen without crashing (all progress has stopped after a few seconds, according to the RAM usage). After downgrading the driver, the game runs flawlessly.

This game works straight out of the box i did not tinker with the seting at all and it runs great i greatly recomand the game.
Works great and if u have the version on heroic launcher and when u start the game it stays on 1 fps please wait 10~20 minites till the menu appears then switch over to the story mode(dont start the game) open the settings and switch the display adapter from 1 to 0 and it will fix things but the best performance is through the steam launcher.

Unknown Error: FFFFFFFF when attempting to load into online (main campaign works fine)
Following Rockstars support response that didn't provide any assistance, I attempted to troubleshoot the problem myself. I am pleased to say that I have resolved the issue, and Red Dead online now functions normally.
What was the problem? Well, this is unusual to me as I have never heard of this type of issue causing a crash like it did:
My NVME game drive was not running fast enough...
My NVME game drive has been for nearly 2 years in a PCIE adapter in the 3rd slot of the mainboard. When checking the transfer speed of the drive, I found the read and write speeds were about 1/4 rated speed, and on inspection appears the drive was running in PCIE3 x 1 mode instead of PCIE3 x 4 mode (which correlates with the 1/4 speed I observed). When I attempted to run the game from a different drive, the online mode worked. To eliminate a problem with the NVME game drive, I fitted it into the mainboard 2nd NVME slot losing 2 of my sata drives in the process (shared with this slot and the reason for the adapter in the first place), and ran the game from there - online works fine.
Before you say the adapter was at fault, it works fine with every other game AND the OFFLINE campaign of RDR2, so I think that's not applicable.
When I want to play RDR2 online, Steam always says Running but the game doesn't open.

Texture bug, in hair and trees
Works as it should "Proto" experimental"

Game is working good on Proton 8-04, without major issues.
Very rare - windows are glitching (glowing with colors)
Game runs well, only issues i met is from cheaters that breaking servers, and from social club service.
Game doesnt work on Proton GE's, social club will crash if you try. Perfomance is good. But if you wanna play, you better make solo public session with friends, because cheaters ruining servers. Best way i think is using startup.meta file (there was a 60 seconds video on YT).

the normal stable bug that is present on all platforms
long loads
works great on deck, no launch options, ge742, game graphics set about 85% on the slider(4gb) ish. only complaint is the stable bug, but it happens on my ps5 too
tried a couple of Proton versions including GE, but only after I installed the latest GE (7-37) the game would not crash in the Launcher. I use low settings on my system for smooth fps
Default Proton didnt get past launcher this time around
Runs great, with minor issues. But, dead game. Tuns of hackers. 99% of bugs are known windows bugs.

Rockstar released a patch. It broke. A lot. Such as random spots where your character will be glitched just walking. Forcing you to close game. The worst is stables. This is a known bug Rockstar introduced.
Game ran shockingly well. But, the Rockstar social club overlay you can't see the mouse, you can see it highlighting, so you almost navigate. But, thankfully you can use the website itself to deal with friend requests.
Game runs extremely well. It's very playable. I had issues with original proton getting into game / getting the social club window to open so I could login. Sometimes you have to click cancel, play, cancel play. Once game starts / runs. I had almost no issues. The biggest issue was the social club overlay mentioned before (Home button opens it). Could sometimes navigate, but more complicated parts were nearly impossible.
Other than bugs mentioned above. Almost all issues are found on windows as well. But be warned! This is a dead game! Rockstar dropped support for it. So no more bug fixes. They do not ban hackers or greifers. Some are "peaceful". Others 100% grief you and use god mode destroying some aspects of the game. Some can ve fun despite the issues. But this game is grind city. Pushing their buy gold with IRL currency. To unlock professions = min 10 gold. Most 15-30 minute missions give you .1 gold, or .25 gold if you are lucky. To unlock all professions to really play this game requires around ~80 gold. You can do the math.
Despite issues. Game can be fun, but be warned. It can be frustrating.

use this fix on deck to end the crashing issue, will instead result in ocassional lag spikes, but much better than crashes, and the lag spikes are not common
jumped the gun on my previus report, just switching to experimental crashes on deck (although pc crashes are hardware dependant)
After most recent red dead update proton 6.3.8 no longer launches, neither does 7.0.4, experimental installs, and runs, apears to work fully with no crashes so far (one hour of play so far)
If you use the default version of proton youll have extremely common crashes, but changing to 6.3.8 isnt straightforward, when you downgrade it initially wont be able to install the launcher (ive replicated this same behavior on pc arch and it was identicle) you have to install it via a different version of proton 6 (i used 6.21 GE 2) and then it will freeze during installation, youll have to hard reset. and then after hard reseting switch to 6.3.8 and it will complete installation without further issues, no more crashes at least not after 2+ hours of play so far.
Game doesnt open. After Clicking play it switches to running and then back to PLAY

I wasnt able to run the game. I used Proton Experimental, GE and v6.3-8 but the game wouldnt launch. I tried varius launch options but nothing worked, I am re-installing the game in case something didnt install right. Also does it need to open rockstar launcher to work because I press play it justs turns into running and then back to play again. The longest running I got was from Proton 6.3-8 but still it didnt open the game.
If they're roaming around, they could have the game randomly crash on them unexpectedly roughly 30 mins in.
30fps at 60Hz
Crashed after 30 mins. playing on default graphics settings (in-game graphics settings had been reset to defaults and game restarted)
Crashed after 30 mins. of play while in free roam mode at 30fps at 60Hz with graphics settings having been reset to in-game defaults
Dual Monitor Setup: Sometimes opens on wrong monitor
Runs WAY better when comparred to windows. Game is bit more stable on experimental.

Some crashes relating to graphics, these were fixed by updating my kernel and drivers. The start commands do help with reducing crashing. Since updating my kernel and drivers and adding the commands, I have not had any crashes. I am not sure if the commands will work on AMD cards.
No problems what so ever, works just like it would on windows.
Red Dead Online works with some tinkering, just make sure that your kernel and drivers are up to date and use the launch options, however I am not sure if they are able to be used for AMD cards. I have tried it without tinkering, and it would crash a lot more often and sometimes wouldn't start, again I'm not sure if this is the case for all GPUs.

If you don't have a weird/shitty cpu, then this game will probably run well. Will update when I get an upgrade to see if its better.

Prettty sure there's a fix to the alt-tab problem, I just play in borderless and this don't have issues with fullscreen
The game barely hits 25fps in towns, though its a cpu problem for me, as my gpu isn't being utlilized fully. Changing graphical settings doesn't do anything.
Rockstar social club doesn't show my mouse, but you can just use the ingame menus and they work fine
It just works!
I must change the resolution manually to 1440p in the system.xml

the rockstar launcher gave 134 errors (not connecting to rockstar), it was installed only on proton experimental and 5.13-6 versions

It works out of the box. I had to lower some settings for the best experience, but it worked with the original (Windows) settings as well.
I could notice that everything was less fluid, but given my weak hardware, it's an acceptable performance drop.

Completely froze every 5 or so minutes and gave an "ERR_GFX_STATE" prompt, forcing the game to close.
