Steam Account
ProtonDB requires Steam authentication to confirm the identity of contributors. Signing in this way accesses some public information about you but it will NOT bestow any privileges to your Steam account.

Note
Within your Steam Privacy Settings, 'My profile' must be set to public. 'Game Details' is not required to be public, but if it is, ownership and playtime information will be sent with your contributions.
Library
Alternatively to signing in with Steam, you may provide an identifier for an account so that you can explore its library or wishlist.

Note
You do not need to sign in with Steam to load your library, but if you do your library will be found automatically. Your Steam Privacy Settings for 'My Profile' and 'Game Details' must be public.
