With the default Proton, Story Mode is dark. It will be nice to port the fix from GE-Proton
Apenas iniciei o jogo sem mudar nada do padrão da Steam, e o jogo roudou perfeitamente. Não houve lentidão, nem pobremas gráficos. Proton usado é o padrão da steam mais atual.
I just started the game without changing anything from the Steam default, and the game ran perfectly. There was no slowdown or graphical issues. The Proton used is the most current Steam default.
I did some of the arcade on hard mode, strangely TRUE MASTER was absent when it was there previously so im guessing im set wrong somehow
I installed them and left to defaults, but any issues launching as its previously worked immediately zero effort but updates maybe need me to enable steam beta/proton and select older versions many games with any issues i set to an older proton version whatever im running for cyberpunk often helps or selecting cyberpunk or forza horizon 5 profiles and other modern high graphics titles but it wasnt necessary at the moment, updates can change things.
my faster than reality quantum infinity super computer that can emulate any device or computer in the universe running same code same time or faster freelysyncing with any hardware that ever exists and can literally REALITY emulate for higher quality gaming than any camera or TV money can buy on earth with its GPU 8k 165hz 68billion colors per RDNA 3 core 60 compute units radeon ryzen hardware INFINITY better than older ps3 radeon and same arch pre zencore no infinityfabric/cache same architecture cell processor made and certified by mathematicians to do maths did not give me anywhere close to what it SHOULD have.
it worked like that before, maybe updating or rebooting or not enough updates hard to say?
The game runs without any issues and Marie Rose is a cutie
When trying to play with Wii U Pro controller you have to deactivate the Steam Device feature.
A typical player would still have the problem with the story cutscenes as the vanilla proton won't play the files. GE 8-4 is recommended
Story Cutscenes are skipped midway
Played with my partner. Everything worked fine also used two different controller(PS5 and Xbox One) to play locally and their wasn't any problems.
Used the native resolution of the Deck (1280x720) and upscaled it with fsr on a TV. Every other setting was still stock.

The game has been working since release with the only issue being story mode did not work. It took a few years, but since the Proton-GE-7-33 runner was released, Story mode now works. I only play games locally never online so have not tested the online component

Есть утечка памяти, через пару боев и переходов через главное меню начинает тормозить. Как вариант можно уменьшить разрешение теней и ухудшить эффекты. В крайнем случае понизить разрешение игры.
Не работают заставки в одиночном режиме.
Do not change frame limit for other values than 30 or 60 fps, game slows down.
Can turn up to 1366x768 and still get 60FPS with Max settings.
Reduce to 720p to save battery life. Still looked good at lower resolutions with FSR to improve life even more. Doesn't support 16:10 aspect ratio so there are black bars.
Impossible to enjoy Story Mode the way it was meant to be played in its current state. If you only want multiplayer, it is fine.
Stutters during video playback, videos not playing to completion.
Black videos in regular Proton 7. GE-Proton fixes those, sort of, but they still do not play to completion and end too early. The game also seems to cap itself at a strange 57 fps.
Should not be Verified in its current state due to story mode bugs with video playback but the actual gameplay feels solid.

For mod support, open winecfg using protontricks, and add a DLL override for dinput8 ('native', 'builtin').
I had to enable the steam overlay in order to use my PS5 controller.
The latest Proton-GE edition was required in order to play the story mode (otherwise there was just a black screen).
My connection with other players is frequently poor, but not always. I think this is simply due to the company's servers (or my and the other player's distance from each other), as I've had the same problem when playing in Windows.
As long as you're using the latest version of Proton-GE, the game should work as good as on Windows. Otherwise, you'll just miss out on the story mode.
The launch option I used is not necessary, I'm simply using it because I have a newer Nvidia card.

Not sure if it's me, Proton, or Steam Input from the client, but using a PS4 controller felt... like it had input lag? Or maybe it was the game speed? Disn't feel that bad on an Xbox controller though, but I'm not sure.
Ocasionally, the screen freezes on a frame and takes a moment to catch up with what's actually happening, which is a big no-no, especially for a fighting game.
Additionally, the game felt sluggish compared to what it should have felt natively and it was like this the majority of the time.
With the speed of the game and framerate being worse than it should have been, given my hardware, it felt like a chore to fight through but not so bad that it was unplayable either. More framerate sensitive people would probably feel differently.
The game uses Media Foundation for story mode, so keep that in mind if you plan to do that; I didn't play story mode.
With plain Proton, performance still felt odd like I described.
Unable to detect controller if you enter game with keyboard
Poor matchmaking against people with high latency, but this is a server side problem not a proton one.

Storymode doesn't work
Not sure if this is normal, but when I first launched the game it said it "failed to load save" (with an error code). Then it prompted to make a new save. I've never played before, so that could be the normal "new game" prompt.
It didn't start with default Proton (6.3-8), so I updated my computer and tried Proton-GE. Not sure if it was the update or Proton-GE, but it works for me now
Dead
Did not start at all
Story Mode Doesn't Work (black screen)
Must get into Steam's Big Picture mode and toggle the controller for the game
MK11 has (October 2020) a better ProtonDB rating but in reality it can't be played on Linux because of the anti-cheat. DOA6 has no anticheat and should really be at a higher rating on ProtonDB!
yes it works nice now no story mode but you dont miss alot. and now the character selection is in 60fps instead of 30fps:)
did not fix to play story mode and i hoped it would
its a LINUX problem i use a brrok PS3/PS4 mixbox (arcade stick) and it dont reads all the inputs as it should like if im holding down back (1) and then go into back (4) it dont read it so i just stand there. same for jumping and so on like up forward (7). i had this problem on other Linux distrobutions
could not play story mode
The story mode goes to a black screen making it unplayable but arcade mode is still fun.
In the main menu the music was fine for a while until it became severely degraded. The music was corrected after joining a battle and once back at the main menu the music was normal again.
Black screen when selecting story mode. The game also seems to have issues with syncing load times; The game will start before I see anything on the screen for several seconds but during that time I can hear audio and play the game blind before the video output "catches up".
Black screen after loading
While the game is good. It will not be enjoyable for anyone with poor performance like this.
Controller will only get detected if you press buttons before the title screen shows up.
Abysmal performance (15fps ingame, 45ish on menus) even with resolution set to 1280x720 and lowest graphics settings.
I attempted to play DOA Quest and Traning modes, and suffered terrible lag on both.
MUCHO LAG
anda muy mal
The Arcade/Time attack/Survival/DOA Quest modes are problematic.
In loading screens, audio pauses frequently
Music during loading sounds broken.
On "online", no crashes. On "DOA Quest", or "Arcade"/"Time Attack"/"Survival" the game crashes on the loading screen. The screen freezes.
As reportred, "Story mode" doesn't work (black screen crash).
On different harfware (AMD CPU/AMD GPU) I had no problems. On this machine (Intel CPU/AMD GPU) the game crashes as described.
Hot Babes fighting Each other you can't go wrong.
Hot babes fighting each other more.
Everything working great, except Story Mode.
Once "Steam Input Per-game Setting" was forced off all controllers tested worked properly.
Story Mode Is not playable, crashes the game
No controller support; occasional freezes.
Some freezes for a second every now and then.
Only keyboard worked.
This is the free version of DEAD OR ALIVE 6. You have to get used to press keys on your keyboard which is awkward for a fighting game. The freezes are annoying, but it's playable up to a point.
Except the story mode, the game runs fine.
Cursor isn't hidden.
Drop frames in character selection menu.
Story mode doesn't work.
Game runs fine out of the box (if youre not using wayland). Framerate drops in menus for some reason to about 40fps. 60fps during gameplay though. Occasionally can cause your DE to freeze (this happened to me multiple times on gnome 3 classic and xfce4).
Played the free trial this weekend. Played a bit of training mode. Changed settings etc. No issues. Runs locked 60fps at high settings (highest possible to pick) at 1080p.
Story mode doesn't run. Everything else single player works. Have not tried multiplayer.
Except for the Story Mode (which crashes the game) everything works fine.
Story mode does not work. If you are playing online, the auto graphic system puts the game in a VERY low resolution. Xbox one controller works if you disable steam input.
Had to manually set the "Steam Input Per-Game Setting" to "Forced Off" for the game to pick up my controllers. Aside from Story Mode not working, all other gameplay modes work perfectly fine. The Story Mode not working is the only reason I am scoring this Silver and not Gold. Presumably an update will fix this
The game starts. The x-box controller is not recognized, I have to use the keyboard to pass the "press any button". The game crashes at the menu.
Reporting on the free "Core Fighters" version: Once I forced Steam Input off in the game's properties, my gamepads (XB1, generic DInput) work and I can play fine.
Game boots to menus and quick fight game mode (only thing I tested due to controller issues), however, the only controller that is recognized is the Steam Controller though it is not loaded with playable a configuration so you have to use the keyboard in along with the steam controller.
I have tested the following controllers 1: XBox 360, 2: XBox One S (wired and bluetooth) and elite (wired) 3: PS4 Controller, 4: Logitech F710 Wireless Controller
I have also tried running the game using Lutris and while WINE recognizes the controllers, DOA6 does not.
Well i could play it Technically BUT my xbox 360 and other Gamepads doesn't seem to work.
