dxvk 1.10.3 as 1030 card does not support higher version.
My older GPU (1030) requires tinkering in the dxvk settings (in Lutris, set to version 1.10.3). Did not launch native, but did launch and run flawlessly with Proton 9.
Runs without a hitch
No problems but game crashes often w. high graphics settings. There used to be artifacts on Ellydium ships but this is no longer a problem.

The game popularity is dying
Only worked on medium Graphic setting and crashing on High
PTW

Will work almost entirely out of the box. Runs very well with very few issues, and is very stable.
Extremely stable gameplay, never noticed any issues with networking
Black squares only appear of you have "lens flares" on in the graphics settings. Audio always worked but is nnow broken with Ubuntu 23.04.
Audio does not work anymore since Ubuntu 23.04
Black squares if lens flares are turned on.

gamemoderun %command% -nosteam
Some particle effect is not compiled correctly, so sometimes you can see a few small black squares floating in space. However, it is not frequent and noticeable.
Out of the box, the game kept crashing on startup with the Native version. That was because the game requires older libraries that my system does not have. I fixed this issue by forcing Steam Linux Runtime in the "Properties -> Compatibility" tab. After that, the game runs flawlessly.
The -nosteam
launch option is for people who want to log in with their Gaijin account instead of their Steam account
mouse acceleration on edges kinda wild but playable
sometimes 100% gpu load while applying settigs, but after changing to lowest and retrying everything was fine
Forced Proton - very good, would recommend | Native - artefacts, ocasional crashes

This game used to rock on linux ! It ran fine on Fedora 34, but not on Fedora 35.
I've tried reinstalling since alot of patches started applying around the time it stopped running. No dice.

Artifacts and some missings textures
Black squares on some blink/shadow effects, like on further side planets or in main menu when checking spaceships
Its vary rare and its not that much trouble for play
Proton-7.0rc6-GE-1
Black squares for some effects persist in every proton version past proton 5.13
fps drops when looking at certain places after alt+tabbing in and out.
Runs flawlessly.
Game will start out with micro stutters in matches as it compiles shaders quickly, but will smooth out shortly after.
Actually works better with Proton than the Linux Native version, as Native has issues with Shaders set on High Quality. Proton lets me play at max quality without issue.
