Perfect experience.
No lag, no errors, no nothing. Just pure gameplay without ever needing to do anything in the settings, buckle up buckaroos as you're gonna be having a blast ;)
Downloaded https://github.com/bcook254/apex-legends-cache and changed the cache, the game ran flawlessly afterwards...
Awesome after installing the cache from https://github.com/bcook254/apex-legends-cache
Must install the cache or fps goes to hell (0-5)
Use Proton (not local) or look up the issue you are having if you are using Arch and are unable to start the game...
Some Arch installations do not launch the game until setting up some things...
If you are using Arch, it might take a slight bit of tinkering to get the game to launch but other than that, it is all fine.
Missing decals when running on Proton
Native version struggles on this
Hard to use the Steam Cloud on the Native version (currently)
Native version slightly unstable
You kind of have to fiddle around with the linux native version to get it working.
Native version far superior to the Proton version, you may launch the native version on the /BinLinux folder in the files of BeamNG (./BeamNG.drive.x64), loading times are very-very slow though.
Tried GOG (Windows and Linux) through Heroic, nothing.
Loading screen followed by crash
You log into Origin, you get the loading screen in-game and the game (and origin) just crash on you; never to be seen again.
Used Heroic to launch the game (Epic version) and it ran fine. Don't update the Paradox launcher or don't use it at all though, as that makes the game un-launchable due to the launcher not showing up.
Fullscreen bug first launch every time
FPS lag some times
Stopped working due to VAC stuff since last update idk why
FPS drops are horrid.
Full- Fullscreen is still kind of horrible, windowed fullscreen been fixed slightly better.
FPS Drops horribly especially when shooting
Had crashes before increasing swap to 20G
FPS Drops & Ping issues etc. General stuff that happen on windows happen some more on Linux
Forced use proton in Steam then went back to native, that fixed 90% of performance problems.
Audio not existent after crash.
Fullscreen really finnicky.
Couldn't use anything to play game after crash... Who would've thought.
Crash crash crash... Every 5-25 minutes. Boo yah, to hell Valve.
The logs are absolute garbage, tell nothing. Steam is also horrible when handling this game.
(USING WAYLAND & NVIDIA OPEN 560) Crashing since last update seems to have fixed itself... Maybe didn't though the game runs much smoother under open driver & Wayland.
Switch to the linux-lts kernel and nvidia-lts driver if you are on nvidia and the game keeps on halting.

Game takes Mouse click as switch to controller mode
Problem'less for the most part.
I am unable to see if it is just me but was unable to import saves from the Steam cloud when on native...
Perfect ootb custom proton
Played on Arch and worked flawlessly. Should probably work on my listed Manjaro setup too.
Amazing ootb, game optimisation in itself sucks though.
FPS low
Tutorials and story stuff don't show, don't think you can play on EAC servers, pretty sure this'll improve soon.
I'm deeply saddened
It is good to play (i played proton native can't join some servers fsr) running under 8.0-5) but crashes like occasionally, is probably because server interactions with the client but still happens.
On Singleplayer GE Proton (Lutris + Epic Games) the game runs fine with good visuals but online crashes unless you switch to dx10
Changed from dx11 to dx10 to avoid crashing due to "ERR_MEM_EMBEDDEDALLOC_ALLOC"
Fps drops and slowdowns/stutters on dx10, dx11 works fine but does not work on online (ERR_MEM_EMBEDDEDALLOC_ALLOC) as far as i am able to see
Online (when using dx11) gives out 'ERR_MEM_EMBEDDEDALLOC_ALLOC' and crashes, switching to dx10 fixes that but the graphics start sucking and stutters start happening...
Dx11 (And 10.1) gives 'ERR_MEM_EMBEDDEDALLOC_ALLOC'
Online = DX10 + Bad Graphics, no FiveM and Stutters. Singleplayer = DX11 + Fine.
If you are using an Nvidia GPU and the game hangs after a while, switch to the linux-lts kernel and install nvidia-lts drivers, that fixes all problems.

Nvidia cards may see crashes with the default 'linux' kernel, i suggest the linux-lts or linux-zen kernels on Arch.
Awesome experience, game a bit bland in my opinion but works awesome on Linux.
The second i minimise the game, it freezes
Fps hits the rock-bottom when playing
Lots of freezes; in the menu, in game, in whatever you want you get a freeze. The thing is, every time the game freezes; the sound still continues playing and you are kind of able to shoot and interact with stuff, tempting you to punch the monitor.
Freezing, freezing, freezing.
Fun and all until you near the end of the game.
Very bad stutters after getting to the restricted zone and switching to Proton 5.13
Crashing in restricted zone @ around 15 hours of gameplay, next to the end of the game. Mitigated by changing Proton version to 5.13 but that drops frames like crazy.
Play till the restricted zone on Linux, backup the save to a USB stick, transfer, then switch back to a windows machine and finish the game.
Mouse cursor very-slightly dissappears and reappears when on map
Runs awesome
GE version fixes fps drops, experimental is bad for fps.
Very small texture weirdnesses sometimes
On Proton 7.0-4 fullscreen (real) causes the game to stutter a lot more
When using proton 7.0-4 i saw stutters in gameplay that severely reduced in ge
Well i played for like 2 minutes and got bored, it ran fine though...
Missing cutscenes when on Proton Experimental or any other proton accept GE
A typical gamer would miss the plot, the cutscenes do not render on normal Proton and you do not even realise that they didn't play unless you played the game before, really fucked up tbh.
FPS was trash most of the time
Proton is fine but native stutters
Stutters every 3-4 seconds, switching to the windows varient running through Proton fixes it.
Native version does not have audio for some reason. Windows version ran fine.
Perfect after switching to Proton. Not classifying as tinker report.
Couldn't get it to work after a while of not playing. Bummer.
Couldn't get it to work after a while of not playing. Bummer.
A typical gamer would enjoy playing the game but not be able to get achievements running the game natively.
Unable to earn achievements when running the game natively
Proton GE fixes local tv bug, everything is awesome.
If you accidentally set the resolution too-too low, it becomes almost impossible to get out of...
Using the Heroic Games Launcher and the Epic version of the game, was not able to get it running.
Sad
Doesn't work even after lots of trying, bummer.
Played Epic version, downloaded through heroic, used Bottles to run the game and installed the dependancies xna40 dotnet40, xact & d3dcompiler_47
Fps drops when VSYNC is off, probably due to the oldness of the game rather than Proton.
OOTB perfect
Removed 30 fps cap via normal methods used on Windows too.
Didn't try other versions of proton but GE was awesome with the game
Do not download protonge from flathub, it is NOT the same as normal protonge and is much worse.
Grass floats
Very-very bad anti-aliasing, i'm talking Playstation 1 bad
Sensitivity # in GE and Experimental
Steam Workshop and Cloud-Saves don't work properly
Weird stutter-like movement
Opening cutscene and main-menu videos do not show if not on GE (Only menu background video) or Experimental (Both show)
Like, what?
Sad, unable to start playing
Tried using Bottles and cafe/latte & GE, couldn't get very far. Experimental is better but no luck. Freeze on load.
Trying to do Alt-Tab would crash the game in the background, causing it to have a black screen when trying to get back to it.
Maximized window would freeze and do weird stuff while you can't go back to the game as i mentioned on Full-Screen. The main menu background is always black fsr.
Fine game, plays fine too but sensitive on certain actions.
Proton GE causes stutters, experimental is awesome, perfect experience!
Played the Amazon Prime Gaming version through this little project called "Nile" (ran the game through bottles), it was awesome!
gamemoderun %command%
The lighting effect kind of seem a bit off, slightly more grainy. Also for some reason, playing on Linux gives you a bit of a motion sickness, no idea why or how (probably related to the lighting effects being a very-slight bit janky)
Motion sickness +1, game still good.
Doesn't let you play
You get up to the language selection screen and as soon as you click something it crashes.
Didn't try wheel but probably will work, works fine ootb (for the most part).
Like what? Native doesn't work and Proton barely does...
No audio at all on Native (on menu)
Black screen when Alt-Tabbing back
Fps doesn't leave 30ish at medium settings and 60 at max on lowest
Native doesn't even run after loading
Native doesn't run
Not yet ready for Proton or Native.
