Native, works great
The native version works fine on linux, and I haven't noticed any issues with panning that many people seem to have.
If you use a large amount of mods, however, you may need to change the max map count with the command "sudo sysctl -w vm.max_map_count = 2147483642" (doesn't have to be that large, but I use it as its what valve uses for the steam deck.)
If you wan't to make it permanant (set every boot), you can create a config file with the command "sudo nano /etc/sysctl.d/99-GameCompat.conf" and put "vm.max_map_count = 2147483642" within it.
You can read more about vm max map count at the arch wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Gaming#Game_compatibility

1.6 update broke game for me
I can load into the menu, I can see and hear the options interact with my cursor but when I click on load game, new game, or quit to OS nothing happens.
despite my 2 displays alspo being extended, the game is also mirrored, and selecting options when looking at either screen does not work, I also tried random spots across the UI and nothing.

It works amazing with or without mods. I've not testet with really big modlists yet at it just updated to 1.6 and not all mods are updated.
RimSort works perfectly fine for Arch if you use Ubuntu release
Perfect on native
at times the game will not go full screen, usally an alt+F4 then relaunching the game fixes it.
Runs perfect native. Better performance than Windows

50 модов, 12 ватт, хватает на часов 5-6 игры, на 3й скорости фпс не высокий(+-30), заводское управление хоть и не такое быстрое как клавомышь, но достаточно удобное, на удивление.
50 mods, 12 watt, enough to play 5-6 hours, on third speed fps is 30, factory control settings pretty comfortable to use, not as fast as mouse and keyboard but really comfortable.

Works fantasticly on native with 220 mods.
There is a bug (?), where the game lags hard when using a mousewheel to drag the camera. Use https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2986170057 to fix that.

10 TDP
For heavy modders: Get CryoUtilities and set your swap file to 16 or 20, it will stop the game from crashing and rebooting your SD!
Otherwise, the game runs perfectly as is

LD_PRELOAD="" HOST_LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 HOST_LC_ALL=ru_RU.UTF-8 %command%
Keybinds not working with cyrillic layout
If you're only using the US layout, you probably won't have any problems with keybindings, some menus have minor mouse drag (scroll) issues. But for the most part you will have a smooth experience out of the box. I have pretty solid FPS and TPS with 200+ mods, using RocketMan and texture optimizations via RimSort

mouse drag make lag but can be fix with a mod from community

LD_PRELOAD="" gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1440 -W 2560 -H 1440 --expose-wayland -- %command%
Serious lag when clicking and dragging. Fix with this mod from the steam workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2986170057
Also, you have to click the game window to focus it before it will accept input. This gets annoying when switching between the game and a web browser. Fix this by using gamescope (and change the 2560 & 1440 in my example to whatever's your resolution).
Serious stuttering after ~20 minutes of play. Fix by adding LD_PRELOAD="" to the launch options. This fully disables the steam overlay; unchecking the overlay in the game options will not work.

需要使用Custom Fonts mod,並在模組設置將font設置成Sarasa UI 或 NamumGothic
Works perfectly, even with all DLC and a ton of mods.

Worked right out of the box, don't use Proton. Stay Native. Runs great.
Mods work perfectly fine, multiplayer mods work fine as well.
Native runs fine, use native only. Proton version causes mod issues and conflicts.

It works immediately after installation
The game works great natively, you don't need to use Proton or configure anything additionally

如果CJK字体缺失,需要安装mod Custom Fonts来解决
CJK字体无法显示

proton > native
native linux version exhibits a bug where dragging your mouse slows down the game to a crawl, fixable with a workshop mod.
performance is about the same on dxvk than native opengl, proton version doesn't exhibit the mouse bug.
Native. Works perfectly.

Play native don't even try Proton
Tried to use mods with Proton, had really weird non-deterministic issues where mods would randomly conflict but also sometimes to work, switching to native seems to just work.

runs perfectly out of the box!

gamescope --nested-width 2560 --nested-height 1440 --nested-refresh 170 --steam --fullscreen --force-grab-cursor -- %command%
Played on Wayland with scaling, which is why I'm using gamescope.
Läuft einfach! Auch Modsupport und Multiplayer.
Holding down mouse to drag-select multiple things causes slight game lag, however there is a mod on the workshop to fix this issue and the lag while noticeable isn't that bad and is just a minor inconvenience.

running about 330 mods and i get various bugs, from a missing menu to no UI to the steamdeck restarting 3/4ths of the time. DO NOT MOD ON THE STEAM DECK OR IT WILL RESTART THE WHOLE SYSTEM EVERYTIME YOU TRY TO PLAY

Works perfectly
Game installs, works perfect with the native build. Even have mods subscribed from the workshop and they just "work". Perfectly compatible game.

The keyboard, being on a non-English layout when launching the game, did not work in the game (excluding the Escape key), which can be fixed by switching to the English layout before starting the game
The game runs faster than on Windows, considering the build includes over 70 mods, and no significant issues have been noticed

Works out of the box. Minor performance issues on large colonies with Ubuntu 24.04.
Sometimes a grey bar appears at the top of the screen when loading the game initially. This can be handled by setting up a shortcut in Gnome to disable and re-enable fullscreen mode. A quick toggle out and back in fixes it. It seems to be a Gnome issue rather than a RimWorld issue.
In large colonies, the game may experience periodic bursts of slowness. This issue has only occurred for me since upgrading to Ubuntu 24.04 and did not happen when I was using Ubuntu 23.10.
I love that game!

Works Perfectly
Works perfectly with ~200 mods installed. Performance seems to better than it was on windows.
Runs flawlessly on native with over 700 mods!
Was fixed by a workshop mod
The version above 1.2 (1.3, 1.4 and 1.5) all suffer from mouse lag, aside from that the notifications are buggy, they are supposed to display info when you hover above them, but it's inconsistent, and most of the time doesn't show what it's supposed to show.

Control a stranded person(s) who need to build up society and try to get out of there... you can make it very sinister.
LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1
Occasional Blank screen with only mouse cursor.
Low FPS
