PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Haven't tried playing without those options for a year, maybe something was emproved
Click play, says its loading, says its running, stops running. Tried every proton version to no avail

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
VERY Scratchy, as if it's having trouble buffering.
The game does not hit 30 fps no matter the video setting.
Maybe if you disable audio, and don't mind the low performance.

You will enjoy this game on Linux as you enjoy this game on Windows
If you can wait until you can find the other player, The multiplayer is running smooth like it's native
If you have wonder about scenario creator, it's work well too. All DLCs also works fine

In Proton 9.0 This game run SO MUCH BETTER than Proton 5.13 In case you thing this game don't run well it's likely because you are using an old version of Proton. Switch to Proton 9.0-2 for better experience

Not launching
This game isn't even launching. tried both expiremental and 5.0 version

With experimental or older versions (such as 5.x), after a multiplayer co-op game concluded, the lobby would "crash", saying the other player had disconnected. This was consistent after every game, making a co-op campaign impossible. Using 8.0-x fixed this.
All game progress is lost upon closing the game
Crashes fixed by switching proton version
Works perfectly fine

Proton GE fixes local tv bug, everything is awesome.
Funciona perfectamente tanto en Manjaro como en Linux Mint. It works perfectly on both Manjaro and Linux Mint.
Everything works as intended. No performance losses and perfect multi-player support!
Faced no issues - except having too few players online. Works as long as you're ok with waiting a bit for match making. This is not a Linux specific issue. It's just that multiplayer is just not that popular with this game at the moment.
regional tv is stretched and has blue lines over it, this is minor and not very noticeable
missing local tv
runs without any major issues with my configuration
Had to change proton version to make the game not crash when I used my chromebook's touch screen. Otherwise flawless
When running proton experimental, the game crashed every time I used my Chromebook's touch screen, but that problem was fixed by changing to proton 5.0-10
Game works great right out of the box. The only reason I needed to do anything at all is because I am running on a chromebook, and that is already kinda unstable considering the OS was forced onto the laptop.
Local TV missing
No issue, works perfectly out of the box.
No local TV
Frequent crashing with Proton Experimental (after 6.3-8). Works fine with 5.0.
Proton 5.0-10 runs this game much better than newer versions
a few images are missing on the region overview
No local TV.
Perfectly works with Proton 5.0-10
With Proton 6.3 the game tends to crash, with Proton 5.13 the game becomes really slow. Using Proton 5.0 seems to be stable without any crashes so far, but I would save often to prevent progress loss. The "News" window is glitchy, but the rest of the game seems to be fine

Runs perfectly using Proton 5.13. Occasional crashes using Experimental and 6.3 Video of "Local TV" is missing or distorted sometimes.
Video of "Local TV" is missing or video distorted
Crashing with proton 6.3.8. Stable with 5.13.x

It was crashing with proton 6.3-8, experimental and 6.21-GE-2 but after switching to 5.13-6 it ran without problems
maybe better with powerfull enough hardware...
delayed input response (takes a few seconds to register input)

Game crashes ~0.3 seconds after pressing play.
The game was updated to the most recent version, along with 6.3-7. I tried selecting the experimental version of proton but it didn't work either.
Crashes too frequently to be enjoyable at the moment
Some UI textures show only as test pattern, or severely distorted
If you are going to play, try to not forget to save frequently, to avoid losing progress to crashes
Unable to enjoy multiplayer without crashing
In-game videos replaced with test patterns
Frequent lock-ups and crashes in multiplayer
Runs perfectly out of the box. No tinkering required.
Einfach Installation, kurzes warten auf Vulkan-Shader. Fehlerfreies starten und spielen.
With PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% sound/no video. without i get game on but too sluggish to play
The game runs fine thanks to Proton
Get a few fps stutters sometimes but it's fine and still totally playable, im sure people with better hardware don't have as many. but I expected this to run just as fine as plague inc since it is made by the same devs

Game does not start.
I click "Play" "Rebel Inc. Escalation - Unity 2018.4.32f1_fb45da8..." window appears Games does not open/start Still at regular Steam Library page for the game with the "Play" button
