Strange Launch Issue Fixed by Turning It Off and On Again
Game was working fine and then I suddenly got an "Assertion Failed C++ Error" when trying to launch the game. Going into the game's properties on Steam and unchecking "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and then rechecking it triggered an "update" that fixed the issue.
Everything else worked as expected.

The game starts and I can go to the start menu, but I guess it's too demanding for my Surface Go.
I've tried every version of Proton and it doesn't launch. I hear the music of the beginning and then the game crashes.
Game doesn't open at all or crashes when I force the use of a specific Proton version.
Running fine af

The bulk of text and UI are so tiny, even with magnification, that this cannot honestly be claimed to be playable in handheld mode.
30 FPS cap in Deck settings
Pretty much everything except the main menu

Works perfectly
no tweaks required

SDL_VIDEODRIVER="" %command%
The game wouldn't launch using Wayland at all. I found a bug report on Proton's GitHub (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/412) that concluded the issue was with SDL_VIDEODRIVER being set to "Wayland". Using a local launch option override I was able to launch the game (still under Wayland) and it ran flawlessly.

Managed to get a few hours into the main story, but after that every game load crashes on loading the map
During loading the audio can crack
After completing the first story, every other game load or new game crashes on the loading screen

Works with Ubuntu Asahi running muvm 0.2.0.

Works fine with Steam's default settings.
It didn't launch with the latest proton and proton-ge had to revert to 9.0-3

Runs flawless!!!
Works fine

-gfxconfig
Do not forget the space before "-gfxconfig" in the launch option.
I hav two screen the game start only if I put my mouse on an other screen that the one with steam...

Text is tiny, at times unreadable
Game runs great of the box. I advise capping at 30fps considering its slow nature if you wand a perfectly stable reading. The most popular community layouts do work well to adapt the decks' controller scheme, or any controller for that matter, to the game. However, text is absolutely tiny, making the game nearly unplayable unless you're ready to spend your time using the magnifier.
Worked without issues

Works out of the box
Runs with no issue out of the box

Works flawlessly on Bazzite 40 Wayland KDE. And a great game btw.

No tinkering needed
Runs flawlessly out of the box

Black screen with sound
Just gives a black screen and in game sound. Have tried several proton versions and launch lines but without any luck.

env --unset=SDL_VIDEODRIVER %command%
Didn't start on wayland without tinkering.

menus for tech tree are glitched so that most of the info is unreadable
have to enter and exit full screen for mouse to be at correct position

gamemoderun %command%
Without using the gamemoderun
command, the initial loading screen will show a "game not responding" and some glitches that causes it to minimize. I was able to ignore them and it eventually loads. The extra load command seems to fix it.
You can play straight out of the box. Just ignore the initial loading screen unresponsive dialog and it will eventually load.

Just black screen and some sounds
-gfxconfig
Opened "GfxConfig.ini" (in game directory) to force the game to windowed mode
I tried many times to solve the problem with black screen: launch options, configs, many versions of proton. None of these helped me.

Works perfectly out of the box, no tinkering needed.
Audio briefly gives a "record scratch" type effect when alt-tabbing out. It returns to normal quickly and works normally when the game is returned to.
Runs great. No issue at all.

Have to change the Proton version

Works without problems
No tinkering, no nothing, it just works
