Read about it on their anti-cheat blog. They entirely removed support for steam deck and linux distros because "The openness of the Linux operating systems makes it an attractive one for cheaters and cheat developers."

Get better EA. Give some dev-time to your linux team and let them fix it instead of outright banning it. Disappointing
