as smooth as with windows
I can't get native nor windows version to run, steam shows the game is running but nothing happens.
No issues, running nativ without any tinkering, no performance issues.

I could not get the native version to run, although the version on Proton ran fine (but I had issues which I solved by realising I somehow forgot wine-mono
... bruh. But! This means wine-mono
is REQUIRED or it will not run in any capacity, unlike other games!)

The game works without technical issues, but beware that performance seems to fluctuate willdly on different systems.
Performance here is actually extremely uneven. On my laptop, which sports a RX 6800M, the game ran well enough at 1920x1080. It dipped below 60fps frequently, depending heavily on the scene and physics simulation. However, on my main workstation, where I use a 7900XTX at 3440x1440, performance was awful. For reasons I cannot explain, my GPU usage on my 7900XTX never exceeded 30%. Of course, the end result was terrible performance. I was never able to fix this, and stuck to playing this game mostly on my laptop in between.
I mainly played the Windows version under Proton after it initially seemed the Linux version performed worse. But clearly, using Proton also isn't without performance issues. This is a game that's fairly playable even with performance issues, but the terrible performance on my main system was very unpleasant. On my laptop it was not problematic enough to affect my enjoyment much.

5 to 30FPS

Linux heaven. Runs just as good if not better than Windows. Even with big mods like planes there is no sound or graphical glitches.
Just launch and play.

Working very well ! Better as Windows !
Always launching on the second screen
Proton experimental
ootb perfect

Very poor performance compared to Windows, but other than that behaves exactly the same.

This is a good game. Minor issues on Linux but otherwise works very well.
The game occasionally crashes; I have yet to find out why it crashes, but I've experienced them while playing multiverse somewhat recently. (Maybe some newer updates made crashes on Linux more freqeuent?) The Windows version of the game sometimes brings up an error popup that shows what happened; the Linux version does not do this.
I've spent over 2000 hours in this game primarily playing its multiplayer, known as Multiverse. For the most part, works identically to Windows, minus those few crashes I've mentioned. Also, while a Playfab tab exists for joining and hosting games, the Linux version can't actually join or host Playfab and things will only break if it tries to do so.
I do note that I have been playing with mods. These mods are considered standard by the multiverse (in the Discord's #looking-to-play, at least) community and are typically quite stable.
Although it runs great, I don't think this game is enjoyable on deck due to controls. If you are a layout wizard, it might be enjoyable.

The game will not launch natively.
Could not set a lower resolution than that of my monitor when running natively. Needed Proton for this to work. It crashed Gnome on Ubuntu otherwise and forced a logout.
works out of the box natively
Works well, but expect customize the game window
Can't custom the window size to the setting resolution
Dragging the window maybe cause the OS crashed
Smoozy
Works fine and stable.
