gamemoderun %command%
runs significantly better than on windows, hosted a dedicated server while playing.
gamemoderun %command%
runs better than it did on windows. turning off volumetric fog and clouds significantly increases fps and reduces latency. enabled FSR which might not have made a huge difference but seemed to help. hosted dedicated server using wine which works perfectly.
doesn't start in fullscreen correctly but fixed by toggling off and back on
gamemoderun %command%
hosted multiplayer for 13 hours without any problems. (2 players)
keyboard input crashes the game, i didn't try using a controller.
ERROR: The type initializer for 'Nuclex.Input.Devices.KeyboardStateHelper' threw an exception.
runs perfectly in bottles on highest settings, haven't noticed any problems with proton. i had some problems with a different runner and it didn't run nearly as good.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES='dinput8.dll=n,b' %command%
works perfectly using DivaModLoader. unplayable on both windows and linux without High Frame Rate mod. proton feels much better than windows.
i can't find any way to get the game to start at all right now.
the game starts and runs fine now, weird but negligible visual problems with specific objects and ui elements.
gamemoderun %command%
had to run sudo sysctl -w net.ipv4.ping_group_range="1000 1000"
to connect to servers. seems to run better than on windows.
runs perfectly. one specific mod that changes the model of an item caused extremely low fps while holding it, but it was insignificant and no problems at all with any other mods (87 installed)
played five matches with no problems at all, runs perfectly. the launcher gives me warnings saying my operating system and graphics drivers are outdated but i ignored them and it's completely fine.
beta test doesn't work
the game runs, everything except UI is just black. everything seems functional but you can't see what you're doing, including character creation. i've tried a lot of different versions of proton and nothing changes. the game also just crashes on windows 10, it doesn't start at all.
i finished the first quest with good performance and it was very stable, i haven't noticed any problems at all so far.
crashes randomly and while trying to load specific things
tried different versions of proton and proton-ge, nothing works. i was able to finish the tutorial somehow (after already crashing once or twice looking through settings) but after that couldn't last minutes without crashing.
a programmer should probably be hired to fix the game but no problems related to linux.
regarding bugs, one of the worst experiences for a co-op game i've ever had and definitely by far the most bugs in a game of this scope. i could easily fix some of them myself in a few minutes. i am very confused about how a few of them even exist... but at least it runs on linux. the bugs don't completely ruin the game for myself and my friends, but it definitely would for some people.
everything works except saving/exports
exports don't seem to work at all on steam, i might try troubleshooting or using bottles later.
doesn't seem to have any input latency problems on steam, which i did have on windows 10.
played for three hours hosting multiplayer and had no problems at all. before changing proton version the main menu was just a black screen.
no problems while playing with friends, i think unfocusing in exclusive fullscreen was annoying but everything else was fine.
