Game runs fine aside from the initial resolution issue.
On first launch the game will appear decentered with a bit of the right screen missing. This can be fixed by going into the options, then in graphics: set display mode to windowed and resolution to 1280x720.

The Performance Slowdowns are Drastic but it is Still Enjoyable
There is no option for 1280x800 so it automatically selects 1024x576, locks that option and stretches it out of bounds in fullscreen. Borderless does the same and the only way to have the game fit the screen correctly is to choose Windowed 1280x720.
Huge frame drops/ slow down when any moderate amount of action is going on. Can drop down to 17FPS or lower
Crashed once during my playthrough of the 6 chapters. The game froze and a Fatal Error message popped up.
Remapping existing buttons seemed to lead to a double input. So for example if you mapped RT to RB and RB to RT you would be hitting both simultaneously when hitting either. Therefore I found it beneficial to map to the back grip buttons since RB for shoot is kind of bad. I have also uploaded the one I use to community.
Fullscreen will cut the picture off. Windowed mode is required to see the entire game. Steam says native resolution is supported but I was unable to find that. It gets letterboxed very slightly.
Must set resolution to windowed mode and then change resolution to 1280x720. Game opens fine but right side is cut off. Doing this fixes it.
Full screen causes locked in resolution that cuts off right side of screen. Must be in windowed mode to change resolution. Recommended resolution 1280x720
Without MF the game gets stuck on blackscreen after a loading screen. After MF, you can click the mouse to get past the black screen. It successfully plays the company logos and intro song.
Controller does not get past the initial blackscreen.
mf-install did the trick to get the game up and running
All videos inside Azurlane/Content/Movies
doesn't play inside the game which are the game company logos, opening theme, and the ending theme.
Random times of having the main menu music played so late.
You will get into black screen after the loading screen which I need to click or mash enter to get though.
Copied the whole game from my Windows Steam folder into my Linux Steam folder and it worked fine. If you want to copy the save file from Windows to Linux, assume that you were either on Windows or Linux OS, head to (Windows C drive):\Users\username\AppData\Local
and copy the whole Azurlane
folder and paste it into ./steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1150080/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data
. You do the reverse if you want to copy it from Linux to Windows. This is useful when your PC is offline and you want to play and continue on the other OS.
Used mf-install (not the cab version) on the Proton prefix. After that the game runs complete with videos. Just have to click past the black screen in the start.
I used the mf-install from here: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install
Tried the mf-install-cab, clicked like crazy on the black screen. Wont work
Just need to click past the initial black screen.
After the mf-installcab I replaced all mp4 files in Azurlane/Content/Movies
with empty files, and copied the mfplat.dll
to Azurlane/Binaries/Win64
No video working (intro, opening and ending)
After the startup loading screen, you will get a black screen until you do clicks in the game sometimes
Game install successfuly and run but i get stuck on black screen after loading
mf-install was needed to get game to play.
Doesn't seem to work
Ubuntu 18.04, Tried Proton 4-11, 5, 4.6-GE, all get to loading screen but black screen after.
