


I added the following lines to "steamapps/compatdata/2211170/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/Godot/app_userdata/Unrailed2/godot_settings.godot" under the "[rendering]" section:
rendering_device/driver.windows="vulkan"
renderer/rendering_method="forward_plus"
I had to disable steam input for the game and then controller worked
Experimental didn't work, and without config changes it was stuck on loading screen

The game works totally fine under proton 9 or experimental, but is completely broken with 8 and doesn't open with 7 or lower.

Without the tinkering the game was stuck in the initial loading screen (for at least 10 minutes)

Starts, but could not navigate in game
able to click through the first menu, when using ProtonGE, but nothing after that

Runs perfectly
Played on Playtest beta Sep 2024 Weird graphical glitches on loading screen when game automatically switched to fullscreen, after the game initialised everything worked properly.
