Works well
If feel that it's borked, check FAQs for advice, especially if migrating from a Windows NTFS mount. Dirty bit on disk, root-only access and Windows filename inconsistencies are clues

Will not start
No Proton version changes seem to affect anything. Likely culprit is the NTFS mount from a former Windows installation, but cannot test at present

Works perfecly besides audio having signigicant noice very rarely. But that usually self corrects
rare random noises. But will self correct usually withing a few minutes
Works perfectly without tweaking
Works perfectly

The game crashed instantly the first time I opened, but it never happen again.

gamemoderun %command%
Slight lag when loading levels
Ran perfectly

gamemoderun %command%
Some full screen resolutions may crash the game at every startup, use -windowed if that happens
Worked perfectly with my girlfriend
The game gets confused if you alt-tab, causing the game to speed up to catch up

Multiplayer will have a hard time with cross-platform, specific with Nintendo Switch players. Other than that, it's fantastic.
I used SteamTinkerLaunch to launch the playlunky launcher to get mods installed. Other than that everything works as intended.

(Still) Just works out of the box.
Just like my previous report, this works out of the box with no tinkering, no adjustments, no changes. Unfortunately, this won't help the fact that I suck at Spelunky.
I just installed it and started playing it. Tried to reach every place possible with my skills - no issues at all, everything just works.

I've had stutters but thats probably because i was playing with someone in the United States while i was in Europe.

MANGOHUD=1 %command%
Had noticable worse performance compared to windows (about 2.4x decrease) from 600 fps (windows) to about 220+
stutters that made the game feel like it was running at or about 30 fps
runs great
overall playable.
Some frame drop when windowed and screen tearing when fullscreen

PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Minimizes when joining a multiplayer lobby
Random controller disconnects which causes freezing and forces a disconnect from a lobby.

PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
Automatically leaves fullscreen when joining a multiplayer lobby
Seems to take a while to get up to speed and even afterwards it stutters quite a bit
FPS seems to be capped at 30 and/or just very stuttery. Tabbing out and back in sometimes fixes it
Basically the same as playing solo
For some reason Proton 7.0-6 is the only version that, when combined with "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command" and disabling Steam overlay, works with only minor performance issues

Works but..
Beware of some glitch which prevents you from launching or removing from your steam library. Not sure what caused this. Happened after maybe 300 hours. Eventually I switched to arch from Ubuntu and I have not encountered that problem anymore.

gamemoderun %command% -high
vsync is forced without an in-game setting to disable it, since this is a platformer that requires a lot of timing and precision disabling it might remove some of that input lag it introduces, if you find yourself getting screen tearing, turn it back on.
go to the game directory, open local.cfg and edit the vsync line to say
<vsync>0</vsync>

While playing Online Multiplayer in the past I did notice it locking the framerate to 36fps for no apparent reason until you restart the game. It may have been fixed since then but it has happened. Otherwise the game runs a perfect 60FPS in handheld and 80-120FPS docked while playing singleplayer/local.
Played using two players. Just connect your controllers and Steam should be able to handle the rest.
The game does not support 16:10 so you will have black bars on top and bottom.
Flawless
just works
Extremely minor FPS drops when moving quickly, be that vertically or horizontally
no problems so far, everything works out of the box!
Minimizes when other players join lobby
Everything is fine besides the input delay. Feels about 2 - 3 frames worse than my experience on Windows.
Slight input delay
Great game to play online or locally with friends on Linux. Nobody would even know you were on Linux with it.
Plays perfectly on all of my Linux devices without any tinkering.
I've played it for at least over 60 hours online on Linux without any issues.
I've played it a ton on Linux, didn't know I hadn't left a Proton review for it but it's been flawless on the Steam Deck. Plays perfectly.
Plays perfectly, at first I thought there was input lag but I guess that is actually a setting you can disable in the game...
Flawless
FPS gets limited to 30 on every second player joining a lobby. Gets fixed when they reconnect.
Sometimes quite long for syncing the game sessions. No idea if related to proton or not.
