For the first initial load of the game, I needed to lower the graphical settings from Ultra to Low. Once doing that the game loaded just fine. I was then able to set my graphic settings back to Ultra and play like normal.
If your game crashes on load when first selecting a save, try lowering graphic settings to low for that first run. You can then return to the main screen and set them back to where you like.
Spent more than 2 hours playing this game on Nobara 41. Pretty solid experience overall.

Some textures are not properly rendered, probably due to the slowness of the external SSD since I used SATA/USB converter.

The displayed input switch back to keybaords, the game has this issue in windows as well. Alt+TAB fixes it
Game works perfectly out of the box (even with M+KB). No tinkering needed.
If you use a mouse & keyboard to play this game, it will work just fine. I have not tried using any controllers, even though the game is intended to be played with one. You might need additional tinkering if you want to use a controller, but the mouse and keyboard experience has been nearly perfect. The only issue is that I haven't figured out to reach all the taunts/emotes from the taunt/emote menu with the keyboard.

I was able to play the entire game start to finish without any sort of issue. And what a fantastic game this is! I highly recommend getting the Ultrawide mod if you have a ultrawide monitor, very simple install and the game looks almost perfect with it (Some status effects show in 16:9 and some character pop ins during cutscene, but nothing drastic).
performance drops a fair bit in towns but not in combat which i have locked at 45fps which the deck maintains no problem
steam is set to run with proton 9 which runs fine

Minor issue, but unsure if it's Proton only, or also a Windows issue : mouse cursor does not always automatically disappear after Alt-Tabbing. Clicking properly hides it.
Steam Deck keyboard would not pop up when entering character name. Used PC to get past that part.

In both towns, when looking across, performance drops to about half of what it runs at on windows. Everywhere else, it's on par.
Everywhere else it runs well, except in towns where the fps drop to about half of what it runs at on Windows, when in towns and looking across them, at least on AMD hardware. I'm not exactly sure why.
Otherwise, fully playable on Linux. Love it

No performance issues, no crashing, multiplayer works perfectly. Completed the story with no issues, sitting at a little over 20 hours.

Disable Cloudflare WARP first before playing this game. Because this game using P2P Connection to Multiplayer.
Just finished up the whole story - with the exception of one crash in the beginning all went smooth. Switched to Proton Hotfix, no issues.

Keyboard Text input does not work if playing in Desktop Mode on the deck. Setting an environment variable forcing the game as if it isn't on a Steam Deck is required to remedy this.
The game would not start when using the default recommended Proton. When using Proton experimental it starts fine and works great.
