Almost perfect
Some screen tearing even with vsync on. First time i experienced something like that.
5.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Proton-5.1-GE-2
My Xbox One Controller works with Proton 5.1-GE-2
protontricks 35140 d3dx9 d3dcompiler_43
Almost perfect
Some water textures are missing during the fight against Sapientia
Works very well with a few caveats
A black texture at the beginning of Chapter 3
alt-tab may crash the game occasionally
The settings launcher doesn't start
5~15 fps every few minutes
Better with PROTON_USE_WINED3D, but not good enough for a good rating (30~35fps)
Almost perfect
Sometimes Jesse's jacket and some walls looks like they have sequins or glitter on them.
The game seems to want to stay on top
Not sure about that, it could be my hardware. But i had to choose 720p as rendering resolution, 1080p had a hit on performance.
I'd be curious to see how the game performs on Windows with the same hardware than mine
50~60 fps, 60 most of the time with almost all graphics settings maxed out. Gamemode or cpu governor set on performance may help to stay at 60 as much as possible.
I didn't try dx12 since vkd3d/d3d12 doesn't work well with Nvidia Pascal GPUs.
90+ hours. Asides from the grass rendering issue, it runs very well without stuttering.
Borked
It crashes when i try to start a tutorial mission. Additional note : The game doesn't launch at all without the Protontricks command mentioned in others reports.
Poor performances
15~45 fps with a lot of stutters on default settings
No surprise since it's known that vkd3d doesn't work well on Nvidia Pascal GPUs.
I get more fps with Proton GE 5.21-1 and Proton Experimental (40~45 with stutters) but still hardly enjoyable
Works fine if you don't press the right trigger button
Pressing right trigger on my Xbox One controller make the ship moves by itself. I had to restart the game.
Flawless with the "use renderer for low-end PCs" option at startup, crash otherwise. What works : online cross platform matches, fullscreen, alt-tab, 60fps on high settings
I had to rename eldenring.exe
to start_protected_game.exe
to be able to launch the game properly (the 1st launch was ok without renaming tho)
~35 fps no matter what graphics setting i tried
Still borked
1st lauch, it downloaded a patch and crashed. 2nd launch, it downloaded an other patch, updated uplay and crashed. Need to kill process. 3nd launch, an other uplay update, i was able to logged into uplay. 4th launch, the game start... and crash. Need to kill process (or exiting uplay in the systray).
Poor performances
15~25 fps no matter what graphics setting i tried
Weird, i had ~45 fps with my old CPU (i7-4770)
Playable and enjoyable, but performances aren't great
30~60 fps, depends the area
Seems perfect
The first launch was a bit long (black screen for a few seconds), the second one was fine
Poor performances
~35 fps no matter what graphics setting i tried
Feels like native
Some crackling with my bluetooth headphones. Someone mentioned the PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 %command%
launch command in an older report but i didn't try it because it only happened twice
Feels like native
Some crackling with my bluetooth headphones. Someone mentioned the PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 %command%
launch command in an older report but i didn't try it, because it only happened twice and a simple disconnect/reconnect did the trick.
The video freeze after reaching ~45km/h. But the problem also appears on Windows (the game seems to use CPU to decode the video)
Seems perfect
Some stuttering at the beginning, probably for shaders compilation. It worked perfectly after that
Seems perfect

Everything works out of the box. 60 fps with no stuttering on high settings, alt-tab works, no problem with fullscreen or borderless. The only (very) minor issue is the windowed mode which seems to stay on top
Seems to work fine with the Large Address Aware tweek
Seems perfect so far
I've only beat the first boss so far. I'll wait for the full release to play more.
Almost perfect
there is one glitch you can see here and there on the snow
Black screen on first launch, works great after the second one. Constant 100+ fps on high settings. Graphics seems a bit blurry, not sure if it's normal or if it's some kind of post-processing (i noticed the same thing on Hellblade).
Black screen and crash (Same for the 2nd or 3rd launch)
60 fps most of the time on epic settings
Heavy stutters and framerate drop for a few seconds every time the game loads a new area (game installed on a ssd or not)
Works out of the box with some minor framerate loss
Some minor frame loss. Not sure if it's proton or linux related
Some visuel glitches. Most of the time, it doesn't affect gameplay (black heads), and occasionally il makes the game unplayable (the entire screen is glitched)
My SF4 MadCatz FightPad isn't detected out of the box. I have to use xboxdrv to make it work
sudo rmmod xpad ; sudo xboxdrv --device-by-id 0738:4728 --type xbox360 --detach-kernel-driver --mimic-xpad
Crash at launch with "An unknown exception has occured" message
Playable and enjoyable, but performances aren't great
30~60 fps with vsync on. A lot of screen tearing with vsync off
Playable and enjoyable, but too much (small) issues for a good rating
Some glitchs (e.g. wheels at high speed)
Windowed fullscreen is ok. Taking a screenshot (F11) "resize" the screen, taking an other one make it back to normal
Some keys can't be remap (e. g. the é key on my azerty keyboard)
Framerate between 30 and 60 fps (mostly between 45 and 50)
Bad performance
Closest elements are blurry. Not sure if it's normal or not
15 ~ 30 fps
Still borked
I tried with Proton 5.0-3 and Proton 5.2-GE-1
Seems perfect
SSAA has a huge performance impact but it seems to be the same on Windows.
Screen goes black during long cutscene because of "inactivity".
Seems perfect except the few glitches
There are some glitches around hair during cutscenes
Playable
Black screen with alt-tab
Xbox One controller incorrectly mapped
A bit sluggish. 40~60 fps
I also tried with Proton GE 5.21-1 and the game isn't playable with my controller (spinning camera)
Playable and enjoyable, but performances aren't great
Can't delete saves
35~60 fps. Disabling Steam overlay seems to help a bit to stay at 50~60, but with a lot of graphical options turned off
Steam (or Steam overlay ?) seems to crash from time to time, and it freezes the game forcing you to restart it.
Disabling Steam overlay seems to help
Trying to access to the store through the game ("online store", "downloadable content") with Steam overlay disabled make you impossible to return inside the game, forcing you to restart it.
Xbox one controller now works out of the box.
Alt-tab works
