Another flawless yakuza adventure!
Once again, zero issues just like Yakuza 3 Remastered. Consistent 60FPS at 1440p all the way to the end game.

Changed runner to Wine-GE 8-26 downloaded to Heroic wine flatpak via ProtonUp-qt
I have the Game in GOG and installed it via Heroic Games Launcher on the Steamdeck. I installed Wine-GE Version 8-26 via ProtonUp-qt for the Heroic Wine Flatpak and used this Version as the Runner in Heroic. Now the Game runs fine and recognizes the Steamdeck Controller input
It works
Works out of the box

Works great without tinkering
Like Y3 the game works perfectly fine from start to finish, it has some slightly framedrops because of drm but that's not proton's fault.

Works
Some prerendered videos had some artifacting, not much though
Framerate would sometimes dip from a locked 60 to about 45fps or so when on the streets. It seemed to happen when the game would load too many bystanders at once.

Flatpak version of Steam, the game does not launch.
When switched to RPM version of Steam, the game runs without any problems.

PROTON_NO_ESYNC
Added the launch argument to avoid screen tearing.

Works as advertised out of box with zero tinkering.
Save frequently, game can crash and there is no autosave.
Works great out of the box. No problems

Installed silent patch as well as restoration patches.
Default config caused my right trackpad vibrations to be very loud, changing it's behaviour to joystick fixed the issue.
TDP limited to 10W to lower the fan noise for the cost of very minor stutters in some places.
Right trackpad vibrations were very loud with the default settings, remapping the trackpad fixes the issue.
I've played the game on steam deck from start to finish with little to no issues.
Game works straight out of the box without any patches, but I would recommend getting them for better experience.

No problems at all, runs perfectly fine after installation without any changes.

Only real yakuza will play this game with gamepad!
Works great out of the box

Dunno why this is marked as unsupported, presumably due to a battery draining issue which is solveable by applying a community patch. Since I'm a couch potato always playing within reach of a wall socket this was never an issue I needed to address.
Other than that, the gameruns perfectly out of the box, 60 FPS at max settings, so all in all it may as well have been marked as verified.
Works fine

Quick Step Restoration Mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/yakuza4remastered/mods/18?tab=files&file_id=22
Ariftacts during into but overall it works.
I just installed the game, Quick Step Restoration Mod and started playing. Game runs smooth without any issues except the graphical artifacts during intro.

Game works well OOTB, the only thing I did was to install quickstep restoration. Can play up to 2 hours on battery without tinkering.

Works without problems
If using the uncensor and music restoration patch, several folders in "~ /Yakuza 4 Remastered/data/auth/" will need to be renamed to have capital letters to avoid crashes in cutscenes. The game works perfectly otherwise.

Although the game starts running at ultra, and does run fine, Yakuza 4 is an absolute power hog that I struggled to push time in.
In-game settings:
- High textures (all the old engine games can look like mush otherwise)
- Mid render distance
- Low/off for the rest of the setting
Deck performance settings:
- 6w TDP
- GPU clocked at 600mhz
Half rate shading does not do anything in Yakuza 0 to 5.
Alternated between playing on Windows PC and Deck, had absolutely no problems on Deck out of the box
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b"
Occasional audio crackling and sometimes caused by putting the Steam Deck to sleep
I highlighy recommend to use the SilentPatch https://cookieplmonster.github.io/2021/02/05/silentpatch-yakuza-remastered-collection/
Minor artifacts in opening cutscene only
Ran perfectly from start to finish with only one crash and no audio issues. Mostly played it docked as otherwise it barely got 2 hours battery time.
In the third act of the game, you can't advance anymore. Before every cutscene, you're stuck at an infinite loading screen.
Seems perfect
If you install the restoration mod, you would need to to change the cutscenes folder names with uppercase letters everywhere, and replace the new files with the old ones. Or else the cutscenes with the restored content will just load indefinetly.
Game runs perfectly out of the box, but, like Y3, using certain mods and patches will improve the experience.

Some FMVs, like the opening, have severe artifacts, but the majority don't.
I installed the Silent Patch for Y4, which works so long as you set the needed environment variable, as well as the Y4 music/uncensor restoration patch, and a mod to fix quickstep distance. All worked fine.

Works great. No problems
Installing SilentPatch and applying the launch option WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
will fix the high CPU usage and result in better battery life.
Runs perfectly despite some launching issues and is better than playing on desktop with a controller.
Turned on Half Rate Shading
Despite usually working perfect with Proton Experimental, the game would refuse to launch sometimes, going to a locked black screen. Restarting the deck and launching other software without proton made the game launch, but the cause is unclear and unreproducable.
Opening cutscene has some artifacts
Worked out of the box, no tinkering needed
Couldn't be played on capped 30 fps, since the cutscenes then were out of sync. 60 fps worked like a charm.
taskset -c 1-8 %command%
Followed this guide to install Media Foundation, cutscenes worked properly afterwords. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQx9oWmjlgI
Sometimes crashes when accessing minigames
Higher battery usage than expected for what's basically a PS3 game, but as long as you remember to save before accessing any minigames it's playable on Deck
