The simple control scheme and mechanics and more complex graphics including regular videos hold up fantastically with Proton 9.0-4.

It plays at a stable 60fps even with a TDP limit of 5W. I didn't encounter any issues during my playthrough.
Game starts in a resolution higher than the steam deck's by default. This can be changed in the launcher

5W for consistent 40 fps/Hz

I wish I knew why other people report no problems when I actually cannot play the game at all
The game would never recognize the default controller (ie. the Steam Deck itself) and always defaulted to keyboard controls, with no button inputs ever reading. It only recognizes external controllers.

An emotional and beautiful tale of brotherhood and the power of family and blood, perfect for the deck
40hz/fps and TDP 10 Watts for around 4-4,5 hours of battery life
On first startup it is recommended to check the settings in the initial launcher, it's possible one has to change the screen size from 720p to 800p
I recommend this gem to everybody who likes linear stories with platforming and puzzle elements
O jogo está rodando perfeitamente!!!
Played through the entire game without any issues.

I've completed the game without issues using Proton 7.0-5
If you want to unlock the framerate and improve the graphics, have a look at https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Brothers:_A_Tale_of_Two_Sons#High_frame_rate
Don't recall changing anything. I played it and beat it completely on the SD with no issues.
Some missiong shadows and incorrect lighting, but extremely seldom

I made some changes following pcgamingwiki's instructions.
I edited P13Engine.ini
and I changed bSmoothFrameRate
to FALSE
to unlock the fps (this can cause some issues).
Then in the same file I changed the value of MaxAnisotropy
to 8
.
I also tried to change the fov by editing the P13Input.ini
file and in the [Engine.PlayerInput]
section I added the line Bindings=(Name="L",Command="fov 150")
It worked but I decided to go against it, also 150 is way to high.
Tabbing out made the game squeeze to the top left of the screen while leaving the rest black. Some other person commented having the same issue with the window manager I use (DWM).
In the the middle of the nd cinematic it started freezing every few frames, pausing the game and resuming it solved the issue.
No tinkering is requiered to get the game working it's just an added bonus
Played the whole game, all achievements. No issues at all.
Runs great on the Steam Deck. When launching the launch screen is only partialy visable but, besides that it is a flawless
gamemoderun %command%
Going to another window results in a black screen requiring the game to be restarted although this might be due to my window manager (DWM)
Works out of the box, consistent 60fps.
No issues whatsoever.
Runs like native.
No issues. Runs like native.
Like a breeze.

Proton 7.2 GE-2
Al iniciar el juego al entrar en pantalla completa, esta queda parcialmente cubierta con el dock y la barra de tareas de mi escritorio. Presionar la tecla Windows para abrir el lanzador de aplicaciones y luego cerrarlos soluciona el problema. / When you start the game when you enter full screen, it is partially covered with the dock and taskbar on my desktop. Pressing the Windows key to open the app launcher and then closing them fixes the problem.
Con Wine GE intenta instalar dependencias pero se estrella al instalar. Usar Proton es una solución mejor. El juego puede utilizar el 100% de la GPU pero no hay caÃdas de FPS / With Wine GE tries to install dependencies but crashes when installing. Using Proton is a better solution. The game I can use 100% of the GPU but there are no FPS drops
When the battery of my DualShock4 Controller went empty during gameplay and the controller shut down the game stopped working. I could still hear the sound, but the game didn't respond anymore. Had to restart my system but after that I was able to play without problems.
A jouer avec une manette absolument
No issues at all. Just install and play.
I even forgot to report this one because I thought it was native. This game runs that well.
Indistinguishable from a native port.
The game worked wonderfully just by enabling Steam Play for this title. Played with a DS4 controller.
Someone playing on a non-qwerty keyboard could hardly play
The launcher does not start, i can't change the keyboard from qwerty to azerty. Can't play
The launcher does not start, but the game does
Runs perfectly, without any issues.
Played it on a Logitech F310, together with my wife. The game is supposed to be single player, but it's perfect to play together with someone if you don't mind sharing the gamepad (left side controls one brother, right side controls the other brother).
