Skill Issue

Works well even with dozens of boards
It works well enough. I beat the game with 2 or 3 crashes, but checkpoints saved the day
Text is a little small, but still readable, and you'll be using a cursor, but it's still playable and enjoyable
Reading letters and news was a little difficult, but the vast majority of text was perfectly legible
It runs fine. If your game doesn't save, it's not proton related. The game just doesn't have a save mechanic
Alt + Enter and -fullscreen could not make it fullscreen
Some text can be small and difficult to read if you have poor vision, but this shouldn't be an issue for most people
Turn off antialiasing and texture filtering and set the render resolution to native because it looks the same but uses less power. also, set the lower HUD to its lowest setting to get more screen space
Runs well, can even use Windows mods
The game ran as normal after install, but after the first hour or so, I got tired of 30fps. I used the modded executable with the unlocked framerate for Windows and swapped it with the original one. Just like on Windows that one worked perfectly as well and my save file worked as well
Keyboard and mouse or Xbox controller both work with no issues. I played start to finish with no problems
eval $(echo "%command%" | sed 's/Chivalry2Launcher.exe/TBL\/Binaries\/Win64\/Chivalry2-Win64-Shipping.exe/')
Turned settings down to medium
I spliced Crysis Warhead's 64 bit bin file into Crysis's 32 bit one
I was getting 5 fps on average
Works perfectly out of the box
The only quirk is that in order to go above 768p, you have to go into compatdata and edit the game's config file, but this was in the original game
The Non-DOS version runs smoothly (apart from a stutter during the Bethesda animation on startup), was set to the correct resolution out of the box (unfortunately it doesn't support the Steam Deck's 16x10 aspect ratio), and the controls were perfect on their default settings. The DOS version on the other hand needs to have the controls changed manually, and will make your fan spin up like crazy. Installing Luxorpedia may fix this, but I didn't bother since the other version already just works perfectly out of the box
STEAMDECK=1 %command%
It used to not need it, but it does since the last patch
The stability has improved a lot recently, and apart from ocasionally having to restart the game, it works pretty well
Sometime the game would just load without textures, or textures would break if you changed settings mid game. This has been getting less frequent though
When I had an XBOX controller plugged in, even if I wasn't using it, my game would get super stuttery every time I fired a gun or changed disguises. Unplugging resolved the problem
Ocasionally the game wouldn't start. Hitting stop and trying again usually fixed this issue
Sometimes the game would say client integrity check failed. Restarting the game fixes this
Use the latest version of Proton Experimental to fix the "Not Responding" slow start error. It works perfectly now
The resolution was set to native out of the box, it works perfectly with the touch screen, and it ran well
-nolauncher
It will not work in either the standard version or redux if you forget the -nolauncher option. I also highly reccomend the redux version; I don't know why they don't make redux the default and the classic version the beta option
The game has a few bugs on all platforms, but I actually had fewer stability issues than my friends on Windows 10/11. Pretty much just works
Works perfectly fine right now, but your milage may vary
You need to exit out of a driver warning every time you launch the game. I also have a friend with more significant bugs and crashing
Works like a charm
Joiner a server is no issue, haven't tried hosting though
Now that the servers are down, you will have to wait for the message everytime you use the pause menu
That being said, it runs just as well as on Windows 10/11 and I had no issues
No window appears after the EA launcher goes away. I have tried on all recent proton versions
Crashed immidiately with all runners except GE-Proton8-14 which opened a file browser for some reason
Runs perfectly as of Proton 7, no tinkering required in any game mode online or offline
Runs great and everything works
Worked well. Didn't notice any issues
I don't know why Valve verified -SIGN- but not REV 2 considering they are both the exact same under the hood and both work perfectly out of the box
Sometimes the view would suddenly change directions more drastically than it should have
Game will show up in a tiny box in the middle of the screen unless you use the "Configure Settings" launch option, go to Graphic/Audio Settings>Screen Processing, and uncheck Aspect Ratio Fix
After unchecking the Aspect Ratio Fix box in settings, and switching to a community layout, the game works perfectly
I reccomend disabling vsync through the " Configure Settings" launch option, and also using a community layout, as the official one doesn't even let you use the D-pad
Works well in single player
I have not tried multiplayer, but I am able to connect to my Microsoft account, customize my spartan, and of course play the Halo games
Played to completion. No issues with sound, cutscenes, controls, etc.
There is some weirdness with textures at times, but I'm pretty sure it's just part of the game's retro aesthetic
Nothing I tried could get a window to appear
It just works. Keybord and mouse work perfectly as does my Xbox Series S|X controller
Not a great game, but runs well when id doesn't crash
connecting is slow, but works if you try enough
It has bugs unrelated to Proton, and even though it usually runs perfectly (or at least as good as on Windows) it will ocasionally crash to desktop without warning
If the EA launcher doesn't break, this game will perform almost perfectly
It's rare, but I had the mouse fail to lock in the window properly even after tabing in and out. Restarting the game fixes this
Barely works, use Kden live
painfully slow
Use Wayland for Desktop mode. X11 caused shadow artifacting and screen tearing. VR requires X11 for me though
Switched Windowing systems from X11 to Wayland
Screen tearing and artifacting shadows occured on X11. Switching to Wayland fixed it
When I used Proton 8.0, I would get a cursor everytime I respawned and it would prevent me from changing my camera until I Alt+Tabbed out of the game and then went back in. On Proton Experimental, I had no issues at all.
Works great in Desktop, VR broke with a recent system update :/
Someof the charcters names were difficult to read. The menu, itens, and all of the important things were fine
Freezes before the menu
RADV_PERFTEST=rt %command%
Even with the command to enable ray tracing, the game will open but freeze before it has even loaded the menu, leaving you staring at the out of focus Aperture Lab room
It runs too poorly even on low settings for it to be an enjoyable experience, but this is the first time it's even worked for me
9FPS on a 6800XT. It slowed down my entire computer
Too slow to enjoy
Unplayably slow, even on lower than low settings
Has some bad frame pacing/micro-stuttering issues out of the box. Proton experimental fixes this
Enjoy stupid AI without techical problems
Lavenderbeard error no matter what I try
I can't log out and sign back in, I just get a black popup window. I tried verifying, GE-Proton, Proton Experimental, Proton 9, rebooting, disconnecting from my VPN, etc. and nothing worked
If you get stuck with Lavenderbeard and have to sign out and sign back in, you have to use Xorg, otherwise it's fine
XBOX login does not work on Wayland
I heard music and a fullscreen window appeared, but everything was black
-vulkan
Works perfectly with Proton. Native version will span all of your monitors and have a slow cursor
Works well
It's a solid native port. It works just as well as it does on Windows
Completely borked on all versions of Proton, including TKG, GE, and Experimental
Can't even paint a window
Tried to install .Net 4.8
All the same features as the Windows version, and runs just as well
Some text was a bit small, but nothing was illegible to me
It says the wrong DLL is present, but doesn't say which one needs fixing
Finally a perfect out-of-box experience
This game had a lot of issues before, but works perfectly now. The only issue is that it requires Origin, which has been know to break from time to time, so proceed with caution
IDK if it's proton or the game itself, but this game is not a fun experience
I kept lagging and teleporting back very far even though my ping was only 88
Installs and runs just as easily as it would on Windows 10/11. I played before I switched to Linux and it looks/runs the same
I turned everything down to high except resolution quality
If you can get pas the small window, it works
the "-fullscreen" flag didn't work, and maximizing would just full in the extra space with a black background
