It works out of the box and I in-general recommend this version of the game over the original
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1
I found since my hardware is so old (11year old i5) that even though the game graphically runs ok, sometimes the audio crackles, but I'm pretty sure with newer hardware this issue shouldn't really appear (maybe unless you 100% your cpu)
If game crashes when clicking on "New Game", a possible fix (worked for me at least) is disabling the integrated graphics from BIOS, forcing to use the dedicated graphics, doing this, the game didn't crash anymore.
Works fine out of the box
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%

It works fine. Just make sure to force D3D11. Otherwise, the game will not start. This may be an issue with Wayland, but I'm not sure.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Please play this game. It's amazing.

I would say that playing though this on the Steam Deck is a good option.
Play on Moebuntu for even more immersion
No problems whatsoever.
Pretty basic interface that works fine on Deck.
DDLC+ works only when it's always focused as the active window on screen.
Game crashes/freezes when it is not focused.
For fullscreen mode, it freezes when switching workspace with keyboard or touchpad (I'm using GNOME 42 on Wayland). For window mode, it crashes after switching workspace, or freezes after changing focus to another window.
(Maybe it is a feature that accidentally breaks the fourth wall?)
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
Game crashed on clicking "new game" with latest proton experimental version. Selecting proton 6.3-8 fixed the issue. Might need PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1
in launch options as well

The game works perfectly. You have to start the game manually with the DDLC.sh file or with steam startup options though.
./DDLC.sh # %command%
Proton did not start for me but running the native .sh file is better anyway.
Game works like it would on windows

upon clicking "new game" the unity crash thing pops up and the game closes. adding "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" solved this problem
no customizations to proton

The game runs just as good as its native windows version and if not that maybe even better.
Works just as good as native or maybe even better than native. Proton Version Used : Proton-6.14-GE-2
It's playable like Windows.

Game worked fine until a certain scene in DDLC, causing a large amount of lag.
All previous issues regarding dialogue boxes and resolution have disappeared, game works like native
Completed one playthrough of the game without any issues. A certain easter egg in a certain scene with a certain character also works as expected through Proton. Side stories work as well. Game runs as though it were native.
Game flat out refuses to launch
I click play, it says it's launching the game, and then nothing happens. The button just reverts back from pause to play.
Works just as it would if on Windows
Runs like a charm, just install and play
Game ran like it was native; solid 144fps throughout the entire playthrough, with major bugs or glitches.
Mouse buttons sometimes stopped working on the main menu, though it can be supplemented with the enter key.
Works perfectly out of the box
Works perfectly
it work perfect
Works perfectly on Proton 6.3-5
I had some issues with the cursor disappearing, but that might have been an issue across all platforms, because the game updated and now that issue is gone.
The (SPOILERS AHEAD) Metaverse Enterprises username is "root" (I'm not sure if that's always root or if it's meant to say your system username), I'll have to see what it thinks my name is in Act 3 (I haven't reached that yet, but I'm submitting a perfect report as everything in this version of the game takes place inside a fictional OS which is inside the game, and not in your actual files/OS, so it'll definitely work fine)
Works without any issues, like the original DDLC game

the game works fine, but when you click on start game it crashes, to fix this you must use the launch parameter
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Game ran flawlessly: seemingly native.
Runs absolutely flawlessly out of the box.

The overall experience on my hardware is very good and it felt like it was running natively on Windows.
Some weak graphics may suffer loading the game, and it will be pretty slow. Mine did as well. That's because you are running the game with Vulkan. I'd recommend you changing to D3D (or OpenGL) before running the game. Open game's settings, and type "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%", and there you have it - you'll enjoy the game like i did!
Oh, by the way, applying desktop wallpapers doesn't work here. On the other hand, you'll get an "Error" achievement in no time!
No issues that I've seen running either the main game or some of the side content. May have a more detailed report after completing the game.
No version of Proton allows DDLC+ to run currently. It's only 2 hours after its release for installation here in the US, but still.
Can't say too much for spoilers, but the base game and DDLC Plus additions all work!
There is brief crackling in the main menu music. Not a major issue though.
If you change the game's resolution and switch it back, dialogue boxes will be offset.
The game works like a native release
You can play DDLC Plus on Linux with ease
Thanks to the efforts of the Linux community
There were some minor issues I went through
Such as minor audio crackling on the main menu
But I highly doubt this would bother you
The new additions to the game
Whether Windows or Linux, they work the same
Though I don't want to give too much away
For the new members of the club
After all, it is release day
All the new additions to this release work
So go ahead and have some fun!
