I guess the bug with the game not loading got fixed? It worked perfectly fine for me (but didnt test multiplayer)

Crash on the caco demon loading screen on boot
The new multiplayer update seems to have broken something.
Crashes with an 'Exception caught on main' error a few seconds after launching the game after the recent update.

The game crashes/freezes competely very often whenever I navigate the main/pause menu while my Steam Deck is docked and connected to a monitor.

Resolution, proton changes
Application would be split among multiple displays, could not consistently fix. Settings will resut upon relaunch
The latest version of Doom runs great on ChromeOS, full speed (as you'd expect), max resolution, new soundtrack goes hard. Recommended.
This report is for the Doom I + II game! I didn't try multiplayer, but the normal gameplay runs beautifully smooth without any problems

it's good
Coop 3 person multiplayer worked without any issue.

Works well ot of the box
Crashed twice after install. Reopened the game and it's been days since that happened.
Works fine

Runs like Native unless you're trying to run the DOS version
The DOS version runs at 45-49 fps, while the unity version runs perfectly.
It ran perfectly fine, as if it was ran natively on windows, I didnt get too far into the game but as far as I saw there were no issues.
Worked out of the box perfectly

Multiplayer works fine
I always use proton experimental. Didn't even try standard version.
Game works just perfect out of the box! I was very surprised that game have "not supported" label.

Works fine OOTB, if you want to play vanilla. Mods require tricks to be able to access them.
Connection to Bethesda.net Prior to August 22th update, there was no way to connect to Bethesda.net, the game was freezing to the point it needed a complete reboot. Now, at login, the game will freeze, but you can quit the game and relaunch it. You should now be connected and able to browse mods.

Ran with Proton Experimental as it's the default Proton when the dev doesn't specify. Crashed on first launch. Relaunched with zero issues.

Run perfectly OOB
No idea why Steam lists this as unsupported, it works flawlessly with no settings changes at all.

SDL_VIDEODRIVER=windows %command%
works as expected, but had to add to launch option for game to launch

as i may be the only person on this page to be unable to have multiplayer working, i'm writing from a vanilla and fresh install of fedora 40
Multiplayer doesn't work, server list doesn't load or it loads with all server at 999 ping, unable to connect to friends lobbies with a code
i can't see why i'm unable to connect to online matches. i'm unable to find other people with the same problem.
Works out-of-the-box with Proton 9.0-2.

Runs out of the box. It did stutter a couple times, but it was just for a moment, and these were extremely rare.
It runs flawlessly. I didn't have to tinker or modify anything.

Basically the best way to play DooM!
Borderless is borked, but otherwise it's flawless in true fullscreen!
Yeah, no real problems here outside of borderless windowed mode, but this might just be because I'm running MATE, an older, stabler DE on Arch Linux. It feels like Windows, it's so damned good!

Perfect OTB.
Online is seamless, though I don't believe you can sort by server location, so you have to sort through all the 200+ ping games.
I tend to use source ports whenever I replay DOOM, but I might just stick with these from now on. Turning off VSync gets rid of the input lag, and from there it's solid. The new campaign, Legacy of Rust, works as expected too (and it rather great).

I mean, it's DOOM...
Broken with GE-Proton9-11. Use the base Proton 9.0 instead.
Yeah it works. The re-release is pretty much just makeup on a 60-year old man but it's still DOOM and it runs as expected.

perfect
Runs perfectly fine with the new 'enhanced versions' just released.

unset SDL_VIDEODRIVER; %command%
You probably don't need any launch options. On Hyprland, I got a wayland error when starting the game and the launch option fixes it.

New remastered update (DOOM + DOOM II) seems to play fine
Some text (like pickup messages) are not alpha'd properly, surrounded by a black box
Only issues were very occasional stuttering and some of the ingame text (like pickup messages or intermission results) being engulfed in a black box.
