Game won't start without PROTON_USE_WINED3D11 but fails to get to the menu with a frozen black screen.
Once you get around the cut-scene issue, the game runs absolutely fine. Occasional stuttering due to the shader caching.
Sometimes cutscenes would pause/hang and not continue the active events following it. Occasionally have to turn them off or find a way around it.
Game refuses to launch. Displays a crash report dialog on startup with a log dump in the game's directory.
Game won't run less use you use Wine's OpenGL rather than DXVK.
Gameplay experience was great with a solid 60 FPS. Occasional stuttering when loading the environment but to be expected.
The paint on the vehicles doesn't display properly but everything else works fine. You can see all the parts just a minor artifact.
After installing the game for the first time it may not launch and just crash(happens on Proton 4.11). Just relaunch it.
F310 controller seems to bug out and cause the camera to move around unless it's held to the far right(probably a bug). Sound doesn't work either but the game performance is great otherwise.
Only launches when Steam is executed through terminal, or the use of "PROTON_LOG=1 %command%" in launch options. Used to work fine on previous versions.
Runs flawlessly since the last patch to fix Steam's CEG.
Do not alt-tab. Returning to the window causes it to be black with just sound, and it does not enter back to fullscreen.
Run the game in windowed mode if you plan to alt-tab.
After the recent update to Proton the game runs very well out of the box.
A few very minor display artifacts every now and again, but performance is flawless.
Game works great. White screen for a minute when starting a new game, eventually after pressing W for a while you are able to play it.
Tends to crash once a while also.
Won't start even with tweaks. Game used to work great, but now it starts and runs in the background for a moment before crashing.
Game runs fine out the box in Windowed mode on my hardware after entering the following into launch options:
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%
Launcher shows, but GPU selector is empty; renderer won't initialize.
"Failed to initialize renderer. Bad Adapter Number or Adapter not found."
All proton versions seem to fail might be a GPU driver issue.
The game runs great but the tree leaves aren't rendering properly.
Game performance is great. However, you should use PROTON_USE_WINED3D11 rather than DXVK if running fullscreen. The menu screen is completely black unless you alt-tab out and back in while in full screen mode. If you don't use this option whilst in fullscreen mode, if you alt tab out and back in the game you may encounter a black screen until you restart it. Game appears to work fine windowed mode.
The VN launches and works as normal until you get to the first movie opening. It then crashes with an exception.
The game runs fine but you can't create a world and must join an existing one. Creation of a world results in an error code while loading it.
Works just as well if not the same as on Windows.
Lighting is a bit off but gameplay is smooth regardless.
Works perfectly fine. If you play the game with Japanese and English text ensure you have the proper charset installed otherwise you'll get boxes. English text works perfectly fine.
Chances are if this volume works the rest will as well.
The game is beautiful and it runs very well.
Aiming the pod is too sensitive. Gameplay was as smooth as a hot knife through butter otherwise.
Error dialogue appears with "Invalid launch parameter -changedir"
Controls require manual remapping, game does not show controller button icons.
The game appears to work great outside of the lack of controller support.
X86 will not run as it crashes immediately on startup with a compilation error(shaders). The X64 will not run either due to another error.
Game runs extremely well.
Previous releases of proton had a shader/texture issue which appears to be fixed for this title.
Game's for Windows Live installer prevents the game from starting with an error during the installation.
The game plays, but the alt-tabbing in and out may degrade the experience.
Game runs in fullscreen mode with a large black space above it as a full screen window. Need to alt-tab in and out of it to keep it running in the background.
Other than the problems specified it works fine.
Both Wine and Proton fail with "Failed to call ConnectFilters(pSrc, pMPEG1Splitter )" after starting a new game.
The game runs perfectly fine and the mod manager has a supported GUI.
Fullscreen-Windowed results in the game opening in the top corner of my screen instead of covering the entire screen. Nothing serious as it runs normally in fullscreen or windowed mode but annoying if you want that display mode.
Seems to be a bit of input latency.
I had to use the -w
option to prevent the window from initializing incorrectly and force windowed mode.
PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 -f -CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1080x32 -w
These launch options were required to get the game running. My display is 4K so running at 1080p caused the game to only cover only about a fourth of my screen with the default launch options. The resolution while the game was running was much higher than 1080 while not in windowed mode and most of it was clipped and not-visible.The only way to get the game to run properly in this case was to also append the force window flag -w
to the launch parameters.
Game play is a little laggy after initial start but smooth after.
Would crash, but very rarely.
While the game does run, the performance is pretty bad. If you can tolerate it then play it.
Occasionally crashes when alt-tabbing
Can't sustain a framerate over 48FPS at 1080p / 40 FPS at 1440p, along with constant stuttering while playing.
Crashes when alt-tabbing
Won't launch. Game starts loading in the background then silently crashes.
Voice audio doesn't play, but game runs very well even at 4K.
Music plays, there are some voice tracks, but most of the voice audio doesn't appear to play.
CEG patch in Proton fixed the launch issues with this game.
The game itself runs fine even with Workshop mods. However, fast travel does NOT seem to work properly.
Renderer fails to initialise in Windowed Mode.
Fast travel results in a black screen.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 gamemoderun %command%
Without the launch options, the game would load in but would have a horrendous stutter every a few seconds which made it unplayable. When it didn't stutter, the framerate was really high otherwise. With the launch options it plays, but has to be restarted every hour or the stuttering starts again.
Problems may or may not be related to Nvidia's drivers. I don't have an AMD card to test.
Game runs but starts with an application error. Shaders aren't working properly and the textures are very very low quality regardless of user settings. Music works but sound effects do not. Wine and Valve's Proton exhibit the same problem.
Runs fine without tweaks
The game runs well without any tweaks. Graphics settings had to be turned down a bit to compensate for the added overhead though.
Runs fine, but the shadows and shaders aren't working properly. Both wine and proton exhibit the same problem.
