Without the launch option, OP have no sound. With newer version of GE-Proton, OP cannot play or have no sound.

I did set Watts to 5 and GPU Clock to 600,, you might be able to go lower, but for a VN it drains way too much power anyway, IMHO.

The Steam Decks' Zoom Feature does often help. Press that sweet-sweet STEAM Button+L1 Shortcut.
Save Games:Loading
When switching from Proton 8 to GE-Proton8-6 I was able to save+load.
You can probably also "fix" the savegame bug while switching to any normal other Proton version, I just went with GE-Proton8-6. ProtonUp-Qt should help you out easily, though.
