Immediately exits without opening a window
Already tried setting width
& height
in game.xml
and also tried setting fullscreen
to false
.
Also tried multiple Proton versions:
- Proton Experimental (
1738602631 experimental-9.0-20250203
) - Proton Hotfix
- Proton 9.0-4
- Proton 8.0-5
- Proton 7.0-6

Works well enough, no bugs that aren't on the windows or linux desktop version. Font is a bit small
In the initial game menu, you have to set it to game pad, and set the tips to gamepad
The font is a bit on the small side
It's not quite as smooth when moving the camera around as it is on linux desktop
Overall runs great out of the box. All I did was install it and hit play. Proton experimental
Input was laggy after playing for a bit, then going back to the main menu, and reloading my save. However, i suspect this was from me opening the steam overlay for a bit on the main menu. I haven't tried but I imagine the problem goes away if you restart.

When you have a black screen when first start, you need to browse the local game files and modify the game.xml to fullscreen=false OR modify the game.xml resolution settings to match the correct resolution.

Performance wise the game runs amazing. A benchmark of the game at both official(high graphics @ 1920x1080) and unofficial(ultra high graphics @ 2560x1080) led to amazing performance. The official clocked in FPS well above the 100 threshold, and the unofficial clocked in at a smooth and consistent 60 FPS(keep in mind this was with all settings turned on including VSYNC which limited the maximum frames).
You cannot save the benchmark data via the in-game save feature and must instead save it via prntscn after it is completed.

works perfectly, but you just have to adjust the resolution in game.xml

92/5000 works perfectly, but you have to modify the game file and enter the correct resolution

the game displays a black screen you just have to modify the game.xml file in input your resolution, otherwise it works perfectly, not try on steam link and the change and its resolution

Game installs fine. Game launches from Steam. Goes into black screen right after launch, but I hear sounds/music from the introduction logo's. After logo music, still no menu screen, or other graphics.

Black screen with this résolution 1680*1050, but I change and its ok

I had to edit game.xml from main game folder and change Fullscreen to false before it would play. Just a black screen when I first started. Afterward, I tweaked my window size to something nice and haven't touched settings since. The game plays beautifully, just like it did on Windows in my opinion. Not one single issue.

Starts in black fullscreen mode (see my OS, hardware/driver specs). Proton config options made no difference. Still black. I had to open the game.xml file (in main game folder) and change Fullscreen to 'false'. Now, you can see the game and in the menu settings switch to your prefered resolution (incl. visible fullscreen). No Proton start config variables needed (in my case).

Game performance is great. However, you should use PROTON_USE_WINED3D11 rather than DXVK if running fullscreen. The menu screen is completely black unless you alt-tab out and back in while in full screen mode. If you don't use this option whilst in fullscreen mode, if you alt tab out and back in the game you may encounter a black screen until you restart it. Game appears to work fine windowed mode.

At first blackscreen, after applying the settings described by others here ("PROTON_VARIABLE=1 nod3d11" in launcher options and editing the game.xml file to not start in fullscreen) it runs perfectly

Runs perfectly, to get around the black screen problem put in the "set launcher options" this: "PROTON_VARIABLE=1 nod3d11" so the game runs in DirectX 9 Mode.
