Mods were an issue, but there is a way, the rest is great
Getting the mods to work was kind of a trick, finnaly found this method on yt: https://youtu.be/3omsEpy_xYg?si=RqEG_LQLSWu3qEQX after that everything works great, i'd say it runs even smoother than on windows
Got it running thanks to GE's proton, I have experienced no issues
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
without the use of the launch option extreamly low fps straight at the menu level
Runs well OTB!
I've played it on windows before and I think that performance is favorable torwards Windows, but nonetheless still enjoable, no issues whatsoever.
Still requierd a bit of tinkering, but after a bit of research it works really well. not straight out of box tho.
After setting up GE's proton works like a charm
needed a bit of tinkering but after setting ups GE's proton works great. It's not out of the box experience tho.
After setting up GE's fresh proton version, works like a charm
You need to install steam's Easy Anti cheat tool, trough the steam library in tools segment, after that everything works great
I didn't get it to run properly, what breaks my heart because it's one of my favourite titles.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
protontricks 1434950 d3dcompiler_47 d3dx11_43
I get crashes every time i enter next settlment, with error logs stating multiple cases of: ERR: Link::relink failed, ERR: Sprite::load can't get m_animation ACCESS_VIOLATION: 0:0:25:46 address CD478646
the settlment crashes are not game breaking but i would need to reload every time i change the city and it's too big of an issue. from what i've red it's not a linux exclusive error and maybe there's a workaround but i didn't manage to find one. The protontricks was not neceseary and didn't change this issue, i just followed the multiple advices i found on the net
DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU" gamemoderun %command%
had been trying to set this one running for a long time, but the launch option did the trick. now it runs like a charm, i'd say even smoother than on win11
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% -dx12
used the steam launch options i got from here and got a small FPS boost, but works rather well out of the box, assuming you've installed steam's EAC tool
Switched downo from GE's proton to default steam proton, on GE's got black screen but now it works great
i get the feeling that i could get the better graphics given my setup, i get a big slowdown when i set max anti-alyasing but nontherless works okay
Runs natively OTB
i don't know why it has such bad reviews here, decided to try it out and didn't experiance those issues whatsoever.
Slowdowns at equipment menu, and while using the optiwant at full screen, worked around it and used the PiP
Overall good experiance, just need to get a decent mod manager and we can roll
No issues here, works great, even with xbox one controller, used GE's proton but probbably should run on steam's default as well.
Setting it up was easier than on newer windows versions, it just works out of the box
drops at transition between rooms, doesn't affect the gameplay, ocasionaly get the feeling that the vsync stops working after an hour or so but a quick restart fixes it.
I tried it before, but had hudge framerate drops that rendered it unplayable, even on menu level. Now it works okay, I woudn't say better than on windows but it's close. Had ocasional fps drops and a few crashes but overall nothing troubling.
boots to loading screen, disables mouse and doesn't appear to be playable
Not playable
