Initially it enters fulscreen with no issues but once ingame it starts constantly shifting between fullscreen and windowed (weirdly in rythm with sounds effects like an alarm clock in ep1 or interacting with things). Found no proton version that fixes it. Windowed works fine so not game breaking.
Very odd game xD. Finished EP1 and 2, got all routes. No other issues apart from the fullscreen issue.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
had to use openGL in my case, other than that and some very small audio crackling the game works great.

Game works as intended out of the box
Played the full game front to back, 100% with no issues.
i tried to boot up the game only for it to close itself after Steam hit the running phase with no graphics window popping up.

Works fine without problem
I already posted a report before but I just forgot to install vulkan and my graphics driver now it works with now problem

The main menu options wouldn't show up — switching to Proton 7.0-6 fixed that issue. I get some minor glitches here and there, but they're scarse and don't break the experience in my opinion.

gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -r 60 --expose-wayland --backend sdl -- %command%
Laptop runs very hot, FPS between 40-60.
Going out of focus and back into the game makes it run at below 5 FPS unless run through gamescope.

Textures cut off and smeared near the bottom, Dialog not visible
Besides the grapical bugs nothing
Doesn't seem to like wayland that much

Game version at the time of reporting v2.0.11, saves from older version work just fine

When using the game's own fullscreen mode, I get "ghosting" textures and audio glitches. The former means that if I walk around, my character's sprite moves correctly, but also leaves behind copies in the old locations.
A workaround is to ask KDE to force the window into windowed fullscreen. (By right-clicking the window's title bar, then "More options", then "Fullscreen". Alternatively: Alt+F3, Alt+M, then Alt+F.) (I bet Gnome can do something similar.) After doing that, I got the fullscreen experience I wanted, and I experienced zero glitches.

Works fine after uninstalling AMDVLK
I think it's a issue with my setup, had to disable steaminput
Seems for some reason the game decided to prefer running with AMDVLK and that caused issues noted with my previous report, however, uninstalling the driver fixed all issues and the game runs flawlessly now

10 FPS
I had to downgrade to Proton version 5.0-10 for the game to run without broken menus, and when I did get the game running it ran at like 10 FPS. I haven't had broken menus before in other RPG maker games, but I have had the terrible FPS in another RPG maker game. RPG maker seems to be completely broken in Wine for some reason, likely a regression. The terrible FPS in the other game I mentioned was in the newest Proton build btw. If someone knows how to fix this please do so, 2D game shouldn't run this badly I am shocked

Very low FPS, constant stuttering. // Forcing Proton 7.0-6 fixed this
This game would most likely work on better hardware than mine without tinkering, but I've found that in case of extreme lag and/or stuttering, forcing Proton 7.0-6 has fixed my problem.

The games works absolutely fine.

Same problem on X, totally unplayable
Tried under X as well as wayland
In my previous report I stated my issues were likely related to running on wayland. I installed an X window manager and tried with that, to no avail. The game is simply broken for me with no clear reason why. An examination of proton's logs revealed no clues either.

Unplayable on wayland.
Game starts, but UI is completely glitched. No way to tell what you're doing in any UI menus. Managed to enter a settings menu, disabled fullscreen, as was mentioned helped some, no luck. report lists proton stable, but tried with experimental as well to the same results. suspect this is due to running wayland (compositor: swayfx 0.3.2).

Works Perfectly
Had no issues with launching or playing the game- everything worked as expected.

mangohud gamemoderun gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -r 60 -o 30 %command%
Sound cuts out now and then (very infrequently) for a few seconds. Not sure if this an issue with the game itself, or if it's specific to Proton.
The specified launch options are completely optional and are not required to play the game
fullscreen kept on flickering, it is recommended to play it windowed.
It just works with my default (Proton 8.0-4).

Works near perfectly OOTB
When in fullscreen there is common screen tearing and ghosting
Just play in windowed

Works Perfectly
just like Ashley

As noted, fullscreen didn't work but otherwise no issues.
Fullscreen was twitchy and kept shrinking and growing. Switched it off to play.
Works fine, very responsive.

30fps cap
(I can't fix her)

Ran with Proton 8.0-4(Library default), played all currently available content just fine.
Steam Overlay wasn't active during the game, unsure if linux/proton-specific or just a game thing.
