--no-sandbox
Game couldn't load my Windows save game
Runs great out of the box, no tinkering needed.
run native no tinkering needed
Absolutley stable and smooth for me out of the box here.
play --no-sandbox
Game runs great, no issues
Fun game to learn simple scripting in JS
Fun game but text was small on screen.
It's a great game for programming-interested gamers. Works perfectly fine on linux
--no-sandbox
Works great, hen launching the game with the startup option, which is automatically added via a prompt, after launching the game through steam.
- Install Native Version
- Got to installed file location (Do not start from Steam)
- Double Click bitburner executable to run. Or run via terminal command "./bitburner"
- If you keep steam open while doing so, the game can also sync Save files
Works fine with the --no-sandbox flag (after restarting steam which was likely only needed for an unrelated issue)
--no-sandbox
Playable but you must launch manually from steamapps folder.
The Devs are aware but cannot replicate much since they don't use Linux natively. To run this game you must launch the bitburner file from the folder inside steamapps.
In order to run the game you have to choose the --no-sandbox option or else it won't run.
Works fine when launched with the --no-sandbox option.
Could not start. You can use the web-app as well: https://danielyxie.github.io/bitburner/
When launching, choose the no-sandbox option and it runs perfectly
Doesn't work on native or with proton
0/10
native and proton didnt work
I was not able to launch the game.
Native version doesn't work at all, but it works on Proton 3.8-3. The game is just an Electron App.
No audio, I don't know if the game has audio at all
Some commands outputs doesn't appear until you press a key on the keyboard
Some key presses are delayed
It freezes sometimes
Can't start Native, Proton Experimental worked, but there was a weird delay between your typing and the game registering it
Native Version tried. Does Not work.
It shows "Running" in the Seam UI after starting, and can be Stopped there. But nothing really shows up. Can't find anything discernible in KDE System Monitor
Installs fine but doesnt run natively or with proton
I have tried multiple proton versions
Native and Proton versions do not work
Native never launches and launching with proton throws a javascript error.
The white menubar stuck at the top, having to click slightly above buttons, and the inability to maximise make it hard to enjoy
White menu bar with "Edit" written in a shaky font is stuck at the top. Looks terrible, as the background (of the game) is black
When maximising the window, text at the bottom goes offscreen
Mouse would occasionally be offset slightly down. You might need to click above where you want to click to get the desired result.
Text typed would occasionally be delayed
