Works flawlessly, after significant control changes.
40 FPS
For how much you have to tinker and setup controlls it's not worth playing on deck. Game works but barely. Not enjoyable.
Follow these steps to fix missing textures.

A lot of changes! Too much!
Frame limit 30
After some updates, game runs very well without tinkering! No more black/missing textures! Almost ootb!
TDP 8w 30fps
After load screen, game need to load all of the assets for like 10-20sec. Not game breaker but annoying. But game afer that runs somewhat well.
Runs perfectly ootb!
Game slows down significantly (even to less than 20fps!) after wave 100. There's just too much bullets and effects on screen that Deck can't handle.
On ProtonGE game works near flawlessly even with DLC! On Native Linux you will have much older version WITHOUT DLC!
TDP 5V 600
Few crashes but it seems only in main menu.
Devs abandoned Linux support for this game. Switch to any proton for full experience!
Runs flawlessly ootb! Even with only 3w you get 60 FPS and 6-7 h of battery (Which is duration of whole game).
TDP as low as possible and still got 60 FPS!
Game runs great. But you need to fiddle with controls.
Change face buttons. To something bonkers like. B to ESC to exit vehicle and seat. Y to stabilize view X to change weapon. Change left TrackPad to radial menu from 1 to 9.
Limit to 30 FPS. Game doesn't need to run smoother.
No support for mixed controls. No M+KB/pad.
Throughout 2h, game crashed once. Better save game often or lose progress.
As of right now, RA2 and RA2YR have black screen in main menu. Borked.
Works flawlessly!
TDP 4w and it's all smooth 55-60 FPS
With both Fullscreen and widescreen options enabled, parts of the HUD and screen are cut off on sides. Turn off widescreen to fix this but you will have minor black bars on top and bottom of screen. Not a game breaker by any means but still.
Only with Fullscreen option enabled you can change resolution to HD. Can't recommend playing on 360p, screen is blurry. On 240p is nice, crisp and chonky!
Frame limit 30
Is seems you need to have GOG account for cloud save to work. Setting command "--launcher-skip" disables cloud function.
Aside of Ambient Occlusion issue, game works flawlessly.
Frame limit 40
Minor graphical problems with "Ambient Occlusion". Disable it in game options.
Works great but no mixed controls.
With TDP 6w you get 50-60 FPS.
No mixed controls. Ether Pad or KB/M
It just works.
Frame limit 20
Works flawlessly.
Frame rate 40
Works great but game doesn't support mixed controls.
Frame limit 40
Works flawlessly!
All to lowest settings and still got 60 FPS! TDP 3w and 600 GPU clock
Works beyond flawlessly!
Minor changes, just some QOL.
- Right trackpad press as "E" and Enter,
- left analog simultaneously as arrows and as WASD, (To navigate menus easily)
- crouching (ctrl) as toggle
Changed TDP to just 3V and game still runs at full speed!
Works flawlessly
Frame limit 30
Works great. By default resolution is set to 1280x720 instead native to Deck.
Frame limit 30
Frame rate can tank if a lot is happening or you spawn too much junk, but that's understandable.
Aside of some small text, game works flawlessly!
With TDP 6 you get 60 FPS. With TDP 4 you can get 30 FPS.
Some text in main menu is barely readable. Do not disable "interpolate" in options or it will be absolutely unreadable.
On lower FPS mouse movement seems to be sped up. Forced mouse acceleration?
Game played great, until chapter 3 in which you get less than 10 FPS. Even 5 FPS. Unplayable.
In chapter 3 game becomes absolutely unplayable. On Deck you get less than 10 FPS.
Works descent. It almost works great with just touchscreen, almost.
Lowering FPS also lowers game speed.
TDP 7 to get 40 FPS
- Game will not boot until you add these two files from link to game root folder
- Insanely fast loading times even from MicroSD
- No support for mixed controls.
- No cloud save.
Aside of janky controlls in menus and no support for mixed controls, game works good.
Frame limit 40
Game doesn't support mixed controls, that also makes navigating menus challenging. Also mouse movement is slightly sluggish but not a lot.
Works good.
Change in official layout right TrackPad as something else other than left mouse click, game doesn't know what to do if you accidentally press at the same time TrackPad and trigger that are both set as left click.
40 FPS
It seems games aspect ratio is screws. Text seems to be uneven due to aspect ratio but still perfectly legible and main menu have cut of exit button. You can barely see it and press it though.
Disable NVIDIA PhysX in options to fix this
Works flawlessly with minor hiccups on SDcard, but game needs to be set to medium details to run smoothly.
Limit FPS to 40
Very rarely terrain doesn't load if you load backup saves when game is on SD card, and when it loads, our cute little Ori most of the time will be stuck inside wall, terrain or out of bounds, which is quite amusing.
Runs pretty well on low-medium settings with fps limited to 30.
Game requires you to type in invite code to join friends. Physical or onscreen keyboard required.
Works flawlessly. You can even play with touchscreen only.
FPS limit 30
Works flawlessly OOTB
TDP 40 FPS / 6W
Runs great ootb, but game runs only in res 1280x1024 without third party patches that don't work on Linux.
TDP 5w + FSR
Playing on SD card is not recommend. There are some hefty slowdowns but usually occur once per loading zone.
Text is hard to read. HUD have small buttons that might be hard to press. Games speed is bound to FPS. Lowering FPS slows down the game.
Very small text. Bearly readable.
But game can easily achieve constant 60 FPS. Game is not unplayable by any means, just harder to play on Deck.
Works flawlessly
I recommend changing right TrackPad as mouse and left mouse click to better navigate through menus.
Works flawlessly but you have to enable gamepad in options which is disabled by default.
Game speed is bound to FPS. Don't use frame limiter.
I recommend changing the right TrackPad as mouse with left click to better navigate through menus.
Works good but navigating menus is a pain with controller.
Frame limit 40
Enabling HRS causes minor texture artefacts
Caution. Setting triggers as mouse clicks are still (partially) recognized as triggers in menus.
Runs flawlessly ootb > if < you don't change game to run in windowed mode.
Setting game to window mode renders game outside Deck screen. It's gonna be very difficult (but not impossible) to change it back to Fullscreen! Hint. If you happen to change it like I did and quit the game, the options in main menu is the first icon on bottom left, you will see a faint glow on edge of screen once you hower mouse over it
Text is tiny and game seems to by poorly optimized. Unfortunately can't recommend playing it on Deck
Test is very tiny. Really hard to read.
Audio in opening movie is scuffed if TDP is set to lower than 60 FPS.
Minos but plenty stutters
It appears you are no longer able to even install SE on deck. Game is strictly restricted to Windows.
It seems game doesn't want to be even installed on Deck with Valve Oficial Proton. Only GE. Game becomes unplayable after 5min in game.
30 FPS
After about 5-10min games slows down significantly. It doesn't loose FPS, just slows down for no reason.
Limited to 40 FPS
As of right now. For some reason running the game on other Proton's makes game run in less than 1 FPS. Even on Proton-GE and Stable. Only on experimental so far.
Game speed is bound to FPS. Works great.
Game speed is bound to FPS. Setting frame limit to something lower than 60, slows down the game. Lower FPS, slower gameplay. (Which can be exploited with bosses!)
It seems as of v3.0, game will not boot on Deck on any version of proton. Stable 9 to 5, Ex, GE. none.
Poor performance on Deck. Game will run on it after recent patch, but is not enjoyable experience. Often sub 20 FPS on lowest settings.
On certain tracks there is some significant slowdowns up to 5 FPS for a short while. Slowdowns are consistent and will happen only on that specific place.
More often than not you just can't control menu with controller. Set right trackpad to mouse and RightTP to mouse click. But that's games problem, not Decks. It happens on PC too.
Works great. Beautiful graphics that still looks gorgeous on Deck's screen and astonishing sound design! But no exit button?!
Frame limit 40
Not many but massive lag spikes on large maps.
For some unknown reasons there is no exit button in main menu. To exit game you have to press Steam button and choose exit game or hold both Steam button and B.
Game doesn't seem to boot in "stable" branch. Haven't tested on "experimental" just hopped on straight to GE.
FRS 30 FPS 8w
Text can be small and setting Ambient Occlusion to higher than medium makes text slightly blurry.
When there are a lot of sparkling lights or lasers the whole screen can flicker. But I think that's just the unreal engine so nothing new.
Cloud save saves all control changes and even resolution options which must be changed everytime you change machine.
On all medium settings game works great. Setting Ambient Occlusion to high or ultra will result in some minor "sharpening" effect and text on in-game computers screen have some extremely sever ghosting effect. Stick to medium or low.
Works flawlessly.
Runs great OOTB but it's somewhat demanding for such a simple game. On lower than 8w, game chugs.
Text is very tiny and in some places there it's pink text on blue background it's just unreadable.
Works flawlessly.
This can be slightly remedied by resizing HUD but it will take too much screen.
