Flawless experience with Dash Faction
Manual saves need to be ended with a "." to work properly. Quicksaves have no issues.
Other than saves not working without ending with a period, I experienced zero issues during my playthrough with Dash Faction installed.
If you DO plan to play the game without Dash Faction make sure to limit your FPS to 60. Otherwise you won't be able be able to progress past a certain point as a submarine you need will bug out and explode!

TDP limit set to 3 watts
At one point game sounds gradually stopped working. Game restart fixed it and it didn't happen a second time.
Quick save was the only saving I could do. Could not create a normal save. Not sure if that is proton related though.

Alt-Tab works every other time. Cannot force to run on a specific monitor
Only allows for quicksaves
Used Dash Faction to support widescreen and fix some bugs.
Even with Dash Faction, I encountered a number of game logic bugs (unrelated to Linux or Proton) which eventually caused me to stop playing about halfway through. In one case I skipped a cutscene for landing a sub, after which my character could not move and automatically died after a few seconds. Unfortunately the autosave decided to save just before my character autodied, and my previous manual save was too far back to be worth salvaging.

Runs great ootb, but game runs only in res 1280x1024 without third party patches that don't work on Linux.
TDP 5w + FSR
Playing on SD card is not recommend. There are some hefty slowdowns but usually occur once per loading zone.
Vanilla version don't support 1080p, use dash faction.
Disabled Gyro (interfered with mouse movement)
Half-Rate Shading TDP Limit: 3W Manual GPU: 400
Few online servers. Community patch looks to be needed.
Perfect
Alt+Tab sometimes leads to visual bugs.
The Game works. I have beaten it.
Making a new save doesn't work unless you name it with a dot (.) at the end. I put it here because I'm not sure whether the problem exist on native version. Quicksaving works fine.

Some slight stutters for half seconds, but I guess they're due to my old laptop specs while running the game through WINE (using Nvidia g920m and Directx9)
The game runs flawlessly just by using the GOG installer by running the .exe file through WINE. Then I have installed DASH Faction's executable (https://www.factionfiles.com/ff.php?action=file&id=5569) also with WINE (it automatically detect where my original Red Faction was installed), changed options to high graphics and laptop's max resolution 1366x768 and it works really well except some rarely stutters (but that's because this laptop is low-end and old)
No slowdown or other problems, but given the age of the game even a potato could run it without issues. I highly recommend the Dash Faction mod, which adds widescreen support and improved graphics, among other things. You can find instructions here on how to install it on linux.
Overall, the game works almost as well as it does on Windows 10, aside from some glitches that you have to go out of your way to trigger.
Launcher audio is delayed and sometimes repeated (the sound test is a good example) compared to Windows 10. Audio can be missing when the fullscreen glitch I had occurs.
Sometimes the window will crop when Alt-Tabing back to the game from the game.
The game will temporarily stop responding to mouse clicks until re-maximized when you get the full-screen glitch I got.
Works perfectly out of the box, never had a single issue. It even works well with enhancement mods such as Dash Faction and Pure Faction.

runs really well, no issues found

Runs perfectly out of the box. I don't have the issue with save files. I also use Dash Faction for widescreen support (there's a guide in Steam which describes how to install it: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1748240979).

Everything runs perfectly, I did not have the issue with the mouse cursor not moving.
However you will need to end the name of every new save file with a . If you choose an existing save file, it will save and overwrite without issue.

The only workaround required is to add a dot in the end of your save file (if not, the game won't create/detect the save file)
Excelent Performance (125 fps), no stuttering.

Alt + Tab or workspace switch required to make mouse usable. When manually saving, enter a filename ending with a period. Otherwise the save file will not be written.

Plays ok but did have some stutter.

opens to black window

Works almost perfectly out of the box. As others have noted, you have to alt-tab out and in of the game window for the mouse to appear in the main menu. Also, I experienced pretty bad screen tearing, though this is more than likely down to Linux/Nvidia issues.

Mouse doesn't work sometimes, after Alt + Tab works again. Other than that, flawless.

Works great with Pure faction

Mouse doesn't work

Works good, but mouse is not working sometimes. It works after few restarts

Unresponsive/hangs when starting the game after options menu.

Performance and visual wise the game runs great. On start once in the main menu the mouse will not work this is fixed with ALT+TAB-ing out and back in to the game. While playing the game itself the camera constantly move towards the top left side of the screen making the game unplayable.
