Only working option seemed to be Proton 10.0-1(beta), no launch options or other steam play compatibility versions reached the main menu.

I use 1080p monitor, set to 1440p same as nvidia DSR in windows with gamescope, and rescale to 4k res, with the performance of 1440p, -f parameter (force fullscreen). with this line the game let you set resolution of 1440p in 1080p monitor. the game run great, almost the same performance as windows

No tinkering needed

不太可玩,可以进去,但是优化特别特别差,在Windows下可以较高画质无DLSS 60-70帧,但是在linux下运行卡顿并且分辨率只有400p

待优化

-dx12
I tried following what was working for everyone but the game blinked and crashed, so i leave the " -dx12 " on Launch Options as suggested, but changed to Proton Experimental, and now works perfectly (even better than windows). But i recommend trying out on Proton or Proton-GE first since it can be something with my laptop specs.

Just launch it and have fun! It'll be better than W word
My computer doesn't have a dedicated GPU so it has bad graphics and stuck on 20FPS ultra low. But it's stable and works great like that in 720p

Worked OOTB
No performance issues that couldn't be explained by my system hardware. Ran better than expected even

Performance are slighty better than windows machine (2-5 FPS delta), No issues with multiplayer
-dx12
Tried using "Proton Experimental" it would not even launch, tried using Vulkan but it lags on the inventory screen, its best to launch with the "-dx12" param

Seemingly working fine with the 10-1 proton beta by default
Occasionally there will be a bit of jitter when playing with online servers, however I believe that is mainly the server end

The game functions flawlessly, and I did not experience any issues!

Cursor didn't get captured by the game for about a minute after loading into the game.
Tested with CachyOS Proton version, Experimental, and 9.0-4. Framerates stayed around the 85-95fps mark at 4K maximum settings running with the above Proton versions.
-dx12

Switched to Proton Experimental due to having some graphical glitches last year when I played occasionally. Running flawless both in single player and on servers!

I've had zero issues with Palworld so far, and have been able to extensively play multiplayer on a private server with no issues as well. I've had one crash in 30 hours, but suspect that was a connectivity issue. This game works great!

DRI_PRIME=1 %command%
Due to my setup I had to set the DRI_PRIME environment variable to use my dedicated GPU, but this is not required on most desktop systems

Work out of the box, no tinkering required (I have a laptop with AMD dgpu, i did not have to specify it in the launch options)

Works perfectly fine

DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="5500 XT" %command% -dx12
2-3fps before tweaking launch options
defaulted to integrated graphics and dx11. Ensuring dedicated graphics bumped performance to around 25fps at 720p very low. ensuring dx12 pushed that to a locked 60fps at 1080p medium.

Good out of the box experience.
If running a co-op world, every so often fps will just tank and wont recover until restart. But game also has some trouble at 4k on medium settings and lower when more than like 12 pals at a base.
Make sure if youre doing the hosting on your own machine that youve got some beefy specs.
Runs flawlessly!

The game has massive frame drops (up to 70%) after certain events (usually after you teleport somewhere). However, this can be fixed by reloading the world.
If you don't specify your Dedicated GPU, the game will automatically use your integrated GPU, which usually results in the game becoming unplayable. And I think if you have better hardware, then the frame drops don't matter

runs perfectly fine GE proton 9-25

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version, winmm=n,b" %command% -dx12
i installed optiscaler + dlss enabler, my pc its not great but with those mods i got better performance

Had to disable iGPU in BIOS otherwise I had single digit FPS
Issues with iGPU enabled at first.
Works well

Vertical Lines are visibile during cutscenes, but not during regular play.
Slight Stuttering upon loading in, and game consistently becomes choppy after of an hour of playtime. Rebooting the game fixes the choppiness.
Works out of the box

Played singleplayer on and off and multiplayer in a friend's world for a few hours and didn't experience any issues.

Runs smoothly but Online is weak.
Constantly lags, especially official servers.
Works fine at first but further you progress on the map fps drops happens time to time. Official servers are unplayable due to lag and community servers are inactive mostly. Even if you can find a server their weird rules makes it boring.

Defaulted to intel graphics, needed to use launch options to use my AMD6950XT

Mouse would vanish in the player creation menu, however this seems to be a universal problem in Palworld rather than a linux only issue.
After about an hour into gameplay I started getting heavy lag spikes out of nowhere that would calm down after a couple minutes, then start back up. Fixed by restarting the game.
Spontaneous performance problems after extended gameplay.
The only issues I can note are frame instability after extended playtime and my cursor going invisible on the player creation menu. However both of these seem like they are universal issues within Palworld and could just be getting exaggerated by Proton.

mangohud game-performance %command%
Game started in windowed screen but had no problem switching to fullscreen within game settings.

The game wouldn't use my AMD GPU, only booting with my Intel iGPU. This resulted in absurdly low framerates -- 6FPS at 4K Max.
I went to my BIOS and forcibly disabled my iGPU, which now has everything working correctly.
If the game picks up on your GPU, then you won't need to tinker at all. If it doesn't…

Boots, but not playable (single digit FPS)
I believe it's trying to use my Intel iGPU instead of my AMD GPU. My AMD GPU is reporting 0% utilization (which makes sense, given that the game defaults to Very Low settings and the lowest resolution). At anything sensible for my AMD GPU (i.e., 4K resolution, High/Ultra settings) the game is at ~5FPS and is not playable in the slightest.
