At the launch of the game there was a like 10 second delay for any sound or music. It eventually fixed itself but there was a problem. In order to fix this issue or any other use Proton GE instead
Blur
Proton GE fixes this
Proton GE fixes this as well.
No mouse input registered. Keyboard input only up and down arrows

Flawless both native and proton.
If you come from windows your cloud save wont back up on a new linux install.
Be aware that windows cloud saves wont work.

It runs perfect, everything on EPIC graphics

Played well! Only minor joystick issues
Everspace has played fine for me!
When playing with a joystick it sometimes will throw a fit (and lag massively) trying to accept mouse input and joystick input at the same time. The "fix" I found was not to use a mouse at all on the game's main menu.

Plays great out of the box
Frame limit 40
Games fun, looks great, a bit performance intensive, and works out of the box, great combo imo
I find usually after two or three hours I run into a crash, doesn't seem to correlate to anything. Personally I find it usually makes a good stopping point
Loads to menu then segfaults
Running the .sh files does the same. Loads, get menu, move selection or not, it crashes.
Runs like a dream on the Deck, even on ultra settings. Might wanna lower it so the fan doesn't whirr at full speed, though!

With Proton 6.19-GE-2 and my setup there are no problems with standard gameplay or visual fidelity.
Proton 6.19-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Inside buildings, the framerate drops by 20% (from 100 to 80); Similarly happens on other platforms, but more impactful on Linux.
The 20% framerate drop inside buildings, while noticeable, isn't gamebreaking as the amount of time spent inside is minuscule.
If you are having graphical issues with the native I recommend trying it through Proton.
I've been running the native version for years Works natively with minor issues:
- Didn't Transfer or update Steam savegame. (I manually copied from Win)
- Crashed Occasionally.
- Minor graphical glitches (Brightness change while turning, Rare texture glitches)
I recently ran it with Proton 5.13-6 (caused steam to download and reinstall) and so far it has fixed all the issues I had. It picked up my save from years ago (I should be able to copy my current save but am enjoying the early game play for now) and it seems to run smoother though I haven't done a framerate comparison.

When launching the game, nothing happened. Forcing Proton makes the game work, but cutscene audio is gone.
Issue was solved by forcing Steam Play compatibility Tool and selecting "Steam Linux Runtime", game runs great and audio works again
Native Linux version did not play well on my set up (problem with multiscreen set up) also crashed a few times. Bad linux port but works well with proton
Runs perfectly

Proton isn't even needed. This is a fantastic native Linux experience.
Resolution tops out at 1920*1080 despite having a 4k display.
It runs absolutely amazing. So fluid, fast. A great game, a great experience running it in Mint.

the game is native

There is a native version of the game. You don't need Proton or any beta.

Crashes instantly.

Small configuration bug with the mouse position, it might come from my configuration
