The audio crackling was so bad it hurt my ears.
Too crackly to be enjoyable.
Steam VR menu would not come up when I press the menu button on the index controllers, but that may be an issue the with Steam VR beta branch I was using.
Ran great, I was able to import my save from the cloud. Only issue was that the game ran at 60 FPS.
Game was locked to 60 FPS in windowed and fullscreen. On windows I could play it at 144 FPS.
Runs perfect OOTB in DX11 mode with Proton 6.3.7
Almost perfect.
Slight hitches when loading new areas for the first time. Vulkan shader pre-caching took almost 20 minutes.
As good on Ubuntu as it is on WIndows.
I played in offline mode because I had mods installed, I do not know how well the online works with proton.
Runs great when you choose to run with OpenGL.
Occasionally shadows would be drawn on surfaces where they should not be.
Runs perfectly on Steam Deck and Linux Desktops. The Deck is powerful enough to play it at 1080p on my TV.
I did not try to play multiplayer and I have no idea if it works or not. I am not interested in playing metal gear online.
Depth of field looked like absolute trash but I don't know if that's to do with proton or not.
In order to have the demo run you need to use proton experimental and edit the config.ini to manually change the resolution by replacing the first two lines under [Application] with: ScreenMode=Borderless Resolution=1920x1080
When done correctly your config.ini should look as follows: [Render] PCTargetAPIFallback=Disable Capability=DirectX12 TargetPlatform=DirectX12 [Application] ScreenMode=Borderless Resolution=1920x1080 GraphicPresetOption=0 AspectRatioOption=0
The game launches with a black screen but after a minute the loading screen appears. I could not compile the shaders beforehand so the first time loading the game took 5 minutes. After getting past the menu and choosing your hunt the game would compile the shaders again, this time though it was much quicker.
Runs worse than on Windows but is very playable.
The sound for the second charge level of the Hammer was gone.
Steam detected my Xbox series X controller but the game would not. To fix this I had to unplug my controller before starting the game then plug it in once I loaded into seliana.
Ran worse than it did on Windows 10
If your controller is not detected by the game try launching it with your controller unplugged then plug the controller in once you load into the gathering hub or Seliana.
Runs perfectly when played in fullscreen. No issues with my account or latency in the game. Slight audio crackling heard in some songs.
Some of the audio was crunchy and there was noticeable crackling when hitting multiple enemies at once very rapidly as seen in the song Burn.
Steam overlay would say the game was rendering at 600+ FPS when played in windowed mode but in actuality it was 60. I had no issues with alt+tab or running the game in fullscreen mode.
Works perfectly OOTB with the proton BattlEye runtime installed.
Worked OOTB with the proton BattlEye runtime installed.
Game worked perfectly on the day of release but after the update on the 19th it is impossible to play.
Game logs state that battleye service is not running anymore.
Works great out of the box, make sure you are in third person the entire time before the first save.
Game crashed right before the first save point when I exited my space craft in first person view. I have not been able to replicate this crash again. I crashed once in an 8 hour play session when leaving the atmosphere of a planet.
Ran perfectly out of the box with only the most minor of bugs.
Travis Touchdown's sunglasses are not visible in mirrors.
Runs really well and looks very good. In 24+ hours of play I only experienced 1 crash that I was not able to reproduce.
There are some minor graphical bugs but I don't know if this is because I am using proton or not.
Installs and runs perfectly, but has major graphical artifacts in outdoor environments.
Lots of artifacts in outdoor scenes that would not go away no matter the graphics settings nor proton version. No artifacts visible during in-engine cutscenes or some of the interior gameplay sections, similar to the chainsaw demo.
Runs perfectly on my system ootb.
This is a very good game, I wish I had played it sooner.
Ran perfectly out of the box, even custom songs.
Custom songs downloaded from spinsha.re can be saved to the following folder: home/USERNAME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1058830/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Super Spin Digital/Spin Rhythm XD
Runs great and is as playable as on windows.
Like with Monster Hunter World, I have to plug my controller in after I load into the game for it to be detected.
Runs great, looks great, sounds great. Sometimes it just won't start when you hit play but if that happens just hit play again.
Mouse was stuck in game window even after Alt+tabbing and when switching workspaces.
On loading new shaders for the first time the game would hitch. Slight lag in loading new areas in journey mode. No performance problems present in multiplayer.
Game would occasionally just not launch when I click play.
Works perfect OOTB after downloading Proton BattlEye Runtime.
Make sure to download Proton Battleye before you play the game.
Works perfect OOTB, just make sure you have Proton BattlEye Runtime downloaded before you try and play the game.
Game runs poorly but is totally playable.
Selecting spatial audio just removed half of all the sounds in the game. Switch to stereo to hear all the sounds.
Game runs pretty poorly, but from what I've read online it looks like windows players have the same issues.
Runs perfectly but my aim sensitivity was maxed out.
Aiming sensitivity is maxed out no matter which slider I change. My ps5 controller was also afflicted.
