Audio switches occasionally to a bluetooth connection, still plays through deck but no longer is able to be adjusted.
Using trackpad works better than joysticks.
It will not uninstall. I have tried multiple times.
Works fine, but not a great fit for the deck without more controller support. Beware of the fact that it doesn't seem to want to uninstall.
Crackled when brought out of sleep on occasion.
Unsure if this glitch is proton related or just the game itself.
Intial game bindings are very bad, with accelerate on the pause button. I suggest using the touch screen to fix the bindings before trying to play.
Unlike some other rhythm games, no noticeable delay when playing with a controller connected to the tv.
Occasional Lagginess
Occasionally there were jitters of lag.
The controls felt a little weird, you might want to remap some of them.
When using outside controller it had varying responsiveness.
Game runs perfectly, however the nature of the game does not work great on the deck imo and you might find the controls a bit touchy.
The game throws an error screen on launch. Ignoring and moving past it has no noticable negative effects.
Text is quite small if playing on the deck itself
Text is definitely on the smaller side. Played nicely with a bluetooth mouse and connected to the tv.
Game would freeze up at certain spots. Was unable to get past them on the steam deck.
Disabled back grip buttons, found myself often accidentally ending turn.
Not truly a problem but the game does start in a significantly smaller than ideal window.
Controls felt unresponsive and slow for a sonic game.
The controls felt laggy and slow. Might just not have the nostalgia for me to enjoy this game.
Text is small on screen, might need to use magnifying glass.
The game runs smoothly and appears to be playable. However, you might run into issues with the size of the game and figuring out the in game control panel with the screen size and trackpad.
Works Well Out of the Box, Community Layout Recommended
Playing with trackpad fills better than joysticks.
Game plays fine out of the box, closing the game requires going to the steam menu though.
Game gave me a headache, unsure if related to running it on the Steam Deck or just a general design issue.
While everything works perfectly, it does mostly work with the controller options which does miss out on the typing aspect of the game. But that's more an issue with the game than the deck itself.
Text is definitely on the smaller side.
Works well, though I think the game fits better on a monitor.
While there may be work arounds that others have had work successfully, out of the box this game does not run. I truly don't understand why it is verified by Steam and was quite disappointed.
Virtues Last Reward does not play, but 999 plays perfectly well.
