Many text fields are small
Follow the github guide from my link. Just pay attention "delete the pfx file" means "delete the pfx directory". Don't miss any step there.
Then according to the guide you would require to use GE-Proton7-20 to make it work in Desktop mode only. This is true. With GE-Proton7-20 it works only in Desktop mode. In game mode AC will start but you will be not able to run the race itself. It will get back to the menu.
To make it work in Game mode I just moved to GE-Proton8-14 and AC started to work in Game mode.
Enjoy.
Too early for Steam Deck yet.
Mapped some buttons
It's playable now! I played for the first 30 minutes and it was fine.
Of course. It's all in Chinese.
All audio in Chinese! (It's not something bad. It's just Chinese).
Had 10 minutes of fun, lol.
Controls needs to be changed
Took two xlive.* files from here and put into game's root folder (F1 2011 in /common/ )
https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/576-bulletstorm-xlivedll/
Renamed exe file in game's GFWL directory to ex (delete, remove, will be same)
Made few keys adjustments
Graphics artifacts around some objects. Game is absolutely playable but visually this is annoying and unpleasant.
Sorry, but had to move on with F1 2017 in my marathon of 2011 to 2023 F1 games on Steam Deck.

To fix C++ runtime issue
It's alive!
Need to restart the game to make it see the gamepad.
Make sure to restart the game to make it see the gamepad.
Without GE-Proton8-14 game crashes. Didn't tried other protons. No need to install any additional stuff.
Tried different protons. None helps.
Borked.
Tried different protons. 6, 7, GE8 - nothing works
Sad
Just need to calibrate the gamepad in-game to assign buttons
Works fine, just change the proton to 5.13-6
Cutscenes not working with any proton version. This was the purpose I bought the game and it's not working on SteamOS
Way too small
Doesn't natively supports gamepad yet
Kinda 20ish FPS
I am happy it starts on SteamDeck at least
Not working on SteamDeck yet.
Tried different protons. Nothing works.
Unplayable. No textures.
Very very small glitches with some textures on the floor. Doesn't bother me at all!!
Happy to play it
Manageable
No issues. Just tune controls.
Need to tinker controls. I didn't manage to make gamepad work.
Didn't manage to make gamepad work
Every time game complains that it needs C++ runtime. So for the first time you just install it and game starts. But next time you start the game it still complains about C++ so you need to uninstall the package. And game still starts, lol. Next time you run the game it asks install again. So you will have just to accept this loop in your life. But the game works overall.
No major issues
Only with Proton 7.0-6 initial menu was able to start. But game itself crashed. Tried regular protons from 4 to Exp. With GE 7/8 also nothing
No players, but that's the only issue)
Good thing is that it works out of the box. Bad thing is that on Medium graphics settings it seems to be slightly less than 30FPS.
Text too small for Steam Deck
Well. It's playable but less enjoyable in terms of performance.
Rideable for sure. Competitive? Unlikely on SteamDeck.
Just assigned back buttons for escape and pause. Also need to assign gamepad buttons per your choice, since game doesn't take it by default layout.
My favorite simracing game on SteamDeck. Having a blast with Nordschleife!
All good out of the box. Maybe starts a bit longer that usual. Beaides that no issues at all.
Works fine!
A bit small text
For the first time it didn't even start. But after couple of reboots, reinstall, trying via GeForce Now it eventually started to work like a native. Without tinkering.
gamemoderun %command%
Made R2/L2 as gas/brake
Small text
A bit small, but manageable
The only detail worth mentioning - I didn't find how to exit the game. Every time I selected "go to start page" it put me into main screen of Press Enter and then race started again. But maybe it is working per design. Not a big deal. Exit the game with Steam button.
