better than native
I ran this on my windows install first and moved it over to linux. It runs significantly better on my linux install. My specs are below mininum requirements it runs fine on low settings and native res.
Runs perfectly out of the box, including the dreaded ubisoft connect.

Runs well out of the box.
Game did say it detected a mechanical hard drive while its actually installed on an M2 but this does not impact the gameplay.
Controller is only detected when plugged in after the game has been launched.

Initially my controller was not detected. Disable Steam Input and Steam Overlay and the game started showing my PS DS5 once I restarted the game. The controller now works with the overlay.

Installed Ubisoft Connect with the default method.
Controller needs to be plugged in after game starts to be detected.
Reshade mods from the Nexus also works.

Mapped some buttons
It's playable now! I played for the first 30 minutes and it was fine.

The game's UI and UX is extremely controller-focused, yet I can't even use my Steam Controller to play this game.
Refused to launch.

gamepad is not availabe, until controllerprofile has been switched to any other one nd back
i game settings changeui scaling
eveything to minimum, fsr3, 30 fps lock ... nothing really helped

After my initial issues where the game didn't even start I had deleted the wine prefix and then after a system reboot it reinstalled all the dependencies and worked since then. Didn't have any other issues with the game and I believe the issues I had where not related to game directly. I can run at around 100 fps without frame gen (but with fsr 3 on quality; 1440p) on high graphics preset (basically the default setting). frame gen can be enabled and works fine, I get like 130-160 fps with it in the short testing I did. My hardware is by no means low end or something but I really didn't expect that great performance given how many reviews on the games launch looked like. It's fairly vram heavy, I think it was running at like 17GB usage or something, so I don't know how it'd run on other graphics cards.

Gamescope wont grab cursor unless using the flag --force-grab-cursor
Split lock mitigations slow down the game. Makes sure to disable according to https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode/issues/425
sudo sysctl kernel.split_lock_mitigate=0
Fun game.

Game doesn't even start
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Tried a bunch of different proton versions. Game doesn't even start. When I launch steam from console I get some error messages about ld.so cannot be preloaded. No clue how to fix that so for now it doesn't work for me
The game runs beautifully even with FSR3 Frame Gen, despite what others have reported, so your mileage may vary depending on hardware.

Only works with proton experimental bleeding edge (Framegen seemes to have no impact on the game for me)

There is some drop when FSR 3 frame generation is enabled. It might be due to shader compilation.
Need proton experiemental bleeding edge. Thanks to valve work

Need to switch to proton experiemental bleeding edge. Huge frame drop when fsr 3 frame gen enable

Currently need proton experiemental bleeding edge to work.

As pointed out in https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/7843, for now this game requires proton experimental bleeding-edge. The game was using my integrated graphics, so I set the DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME variable. Game seems to run fine now. Around 30fps on low settings with FSR3 in performance mode on my laptop which is pretty much what I expected

Does not launch on linux or steam deck
Wait for patch or others to get it working.

Can't get to the game after difficulty settings
I installed the Ubisoft launcher through Steam.
To download anything I need to turn off my VPN and to install in a different partition I had to set up a symlink in the Proton C drive to the wanted installation folder in the other partition.
Ubisoft Connect wasn't even able to download my saved games, with or without the VPN.
Once the the game was installed, the menu first start config menu showed up and worked fine up to the dofficulty configuration. When the game is supposed to start, it crashes and just get's stuck.
Truly an amazing journey.

Too early for Steam Deck yet.
