Stuttering and crashes makes the software unusable in it's current state.
Audio does not seem to play through headset after manually changing output.
Massive stuttering issue
Seems to crash while using the desktop.
Runs well with only minor slowdowns with loading.
After loading into the game the first time, the screen goes black for a few seconds. Does not happen again after.
Runs perfectly well. Co-op lag appears to be due to p2p connections and not caused by proton.
While loading the game would show frames of previous cutscene
Runs well with occasional crashes
Crashes appear to be random. Usually no more that once per session.
env OBS_VKCAPTURE=1 DXVK_HDR=1 gamemoderun gamescope -e -W 3840 -H 2160 -r 240 -f --hdr-enabled %command%
Could probably get more than 60FPS if it was not for the enforced framerate limit. HDR confirmed working with KDE Plasma. RayTracing should be turned off. Minimal gain in graphical fidelity at massive performance cost. This does not seem to be a Proton issue.
Failed to load main menu
Tested with a variety of proton versions and with anti-cheat enabled and disabled. Some game (dlc) even kept anything from loading.
Only problem I had was the slow load of the main menu when launching game. Otherwise works perfectly.
Some audio is broken at first launch when launching game
Menu after launch is a black screen for a few seconds when loading in.
Geegee opens with a black screen
The launcer seems to load a bit and then crashes
GeeGee launcer starts with black screen and battleeye driver install error
Event crashes the game after the 50% mark making it impossible to complete.
An event at the 56% game completion mark crashes the game making it impossible to continue.
Generally a good game with a unique premise, but ruined by crashing towards the middle of the game.
The game would crash frequently after the half way point.
Beyond the half way point of the game, it would crash during game events and/or during autosaves.
After a specific scanner upgrade, the upgrade announcement would be stuck on the screen and not go away until the game was over.
Ignoring the crashing, it was a great experience on Linux.
Runs well on par with Windows native
Installation was slower that usual games
Apart from the crashes, it runs well and was a good time.
Crashes on random intervals between 15 min to an hour.
env OBS_VKCAPTURE=1 DXVK_HDR=1 MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun gamescope -e -W 3840 -H 2160 -r 240 -f --hdr-enabled %command%
Some stuttering on occation
Sadly, at 4K the framerate is quite low, even on low settings. On higher settings, the average framerate stays mostly the same, but with more frequent drops that give me eyestrain. Would like to see better optimization and a fix to the stutter. HDR confirmed workin with this game on KDE plasma.
Game loads into a black screen
No fixes tested yet
Runs perfectly fine out of the box
Windowed fullscreen would not stay on top of other applications.
They are probably not related to proton, but appear to be general game bugs.
Had some incredibly high ping in some games, fixed after game restart.
After fixing the issues with microstuttering, the game runs smoothly most of the time.
Some microstutter in large open sections like the open word missions or in social hubs of the game. Somewhat mitigated by turning off vsync and setting max framerate to double of the screen refreshrate. When starting a game, there is sometimes 2-3 sec of massive stutter.
Some bugs in the game seem to happen more often on Linux than on Windows.
Multiplayer appear to be flawless
Regarding other bugs, I have not played this game enough on Windows to conclude if some of them are caused by Proton or if they are as bad on Windows, but I would like to mention them nonetheless.
Game sucessfully installs through the launcher, but does not launch.
Started off fine after the server selection bug was fixed. Started freezing and stutter after about 10 min.
Lots of stuttering and freezing
