Had to go into desktop mode to install, in gamemode setup controls to map to keyboard, and set windowed mode.
Fullscreen crops off the sides, use windowed mode.
for some reason in game mode the controller is not detected mostly
multiplayer works fine

It is definitely playable. Sometimes there are a few bugs but basically it is playable.
If you lose the focus of the window while joining or leaving a game, the game may crash.
It's uno
Runs fine on Proton, but you bet I'm annoyed by that damned Ubisoft Connect launcher.

Worked perfectly out of the box

Launcher don't seem to be able to connect anywhere
...nor to find my Ubisoft account. At least it was able to update itself this time, sheesh. Game is still impossible to run anyway. But that's some progress.

I didn't have any issues with the included ubisoft connect overlay (same keybinds as windows). Didn't have an issue logging into the ubisoft launcher either.

could not load cloud save
got nothing but network errors
Intro zeigt Fehlerbild. Ab den Hauptmenü alles Gut

works better than windows

Changed L4 to activate overlay (shift as main, f2 as sub)
Trying without gives an error message, experimental somehow uses an install script

Game Works Out of The Box.
Works way better than windows.
Played both Single Player and Multiplayer and experienced no problems. Everything works as intended.

Tried every proton version (Including GE), wouldn't get past Ubisoft connect
Didn't get close

Resolution was slightly wrong. Easy fix.
A couple network dropouts.
Ubisoft launcher is a bit of a pain during the first session. After that, it loads up and launches the game no problem. Internet is probably required, even for local single-player.

I do not know why, but I can only start Uno successfully with the Flatpack version of Steam!
I am only able to start Uno with the Flatpack version of Steam. The regular Steam installed with pacman -S steam from multilib does not open Uno at all. Most likely due to Ubisoft. I do not know why the UbisoftLauncher is only included when using Flatpack.
Otherwise playable!

The Ubisoft overlay ruins the game's experience but it is manageable
Ubisoft overlay is awful, won't trigger sometimes
Random disconnect at the end of the round

Strict NAT error, found no way to fix it. I disabled the firewall completely, yet nothing.
Shouldn't have relied on Ubisoft!

Rare card z-fighting, otherwise runs fine
Cards meant to be in the draw pile sometimes appear elsewhere, including z fighting with cards in your or other players hands or the play pile, though im pretty sure these issues occur on windows as well
Connecting took a bit, but thats probably normal, match played perfectly well other than some graphical shenanigans

Game Saving to Cloud failed
All in all, it runs perfect. But not being able to sync your game progress to the cloud can be very frustrating.

Ran Great, Only point is you need to run it forced with ProtonGE 7-55 once it will crash then change it to Proton Experimental and it runs flawlessly.

ubisoft connect launcher requieres proton experimental to start. no other issues so far

Overall a pretty good experience and I'm glad to see the multiplayer is usable once again. GREAT WORK VALVE!
Not 100% if this is limited to linux but the online multiplayer sometimes takes a while to register players turns.

There's no audio, but the rest of the game works fine.
No audio at all.
Artifacts showed up when cards faded away
The only major problem right now is the audio being gone. This is still an improvement over the last time I tried playing Uno through Proton, where the multiplayer wouldn't work at all.

Needed to set net.ipv4.tcp_mtu_probing=1. You can do so by running the command echo net.ipv4.tcp_mtu_probing=1 | sudo tee /etc/sysctl.d/custom-mtu-probing.conf | sudo xargs sysctl
in konsole from desktop mode after setting a root password.
Some screen elements like back buttons were overflowing
I can see black bars when after trying to select a resolution (does not support ultrawide resolutions)
I was able to get multiplayer working using these posts:
https://reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/ymqvbz/ubisoft_connect_connection_lost_stuck/j36kk4w/
https://reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/10oc0dq/psa_for_people_having_trouble_connecting_to/
Try enabling MTU probing: sudo sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_mtu_probing=1
and connecting to ubisoft connect / game.
If it works, make it permanent with echo net.ipv4.tcp_mtu_probing=1 | sudo tee /etc/sysctl.d/custom-mtu-probing.conf
Ubisoft Connect fails to connect
Waste of time, trying to rely on Ubisoft Connect.
Game ran at around 80 FPS with some slight dips. Pretty underwhelming considering it's 2D but my PC also sucks.
Game started and I joined a game and was instantly put in.
If you Alt-Tab to another window, Uno goes black, forcing you to restart the game.
Ubisoft Connect said it could not synchronize my game saves, but this was skippable.
I joined a game with three randos, and it worked perfectly.
I had to use a version of the GloriousEggroll fork of Proton for the game to function. I installed it via a graphical interface called Proton Community Updater.
To install it, follow the instructions given at https://github.com/Termuellinator/Proton-Community-Updater. If you're on Arch or an Arch derivative, get it on the AUR at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/proton-community-updater/.
When installed, go through the prompts and install GloriousEggroll Proton version 7-55 or newer(can't assure that any versions above 7-55 will work, though), and you're good!
Works flawlessly besides some framerate/preformance lag
Loading online took a little longer than I remembered
I wasn't sure if there was lag or not in multiplayer, but it still worked.
It's Uno.
Joined a match, was able to play cards
Not sure if this works on 8.x, but it works on the current version of experimental as of 4/27
Proton 8.0-1 appears to fix multiplayer!
Game takes significantly longer to start and switching between hands has a bit of a delay
Online is functional once again, albeit slower than before
Doesn't launch at all
It complains about not being able to find the ubisoft connect installation. I tried using Proton 7.0-6, which was supposed to fix the issue(described here https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/6498), but it did not solve the issue.
Had to manually install Ubisoft Connect so the game could actually boot
Unable to connect to any game servers or lobbies.
Simply opens to an error message stating "Unable to detect Ubisoft Connect installation. Please make sure Ubisoft Connect is installed."
