The game didn't detected my PS4 controller and showed Steam Deck icons instead, but I was able to change this manually in the menu.

Fledge Engine at its best so far
Deck 13's previous games had noticeable stutters in their previous games when playing them via Proton, and while The Surge 2 still has some stutters all throughout its playtime, it is by far the most stable and their Fledge engine has ever been on Linux. Other than those stutters, the game plays pretty much perfectly from start to finish with little to no issues of note.

Dropped settings and got stable 40fps in open areas and 60fps (capped in hub or small areas)
Played the entire game with no issues (~17 hours)
Pure platinum
Capped the game at 30fps because I didn't manage to get it running stable at 40fps.
Sometimes text was a bit small.
Sometimes resuming from suspend resulted in crackeling audio.
Rodou de primeira no Steam Deck! Lindo demais, pode ser considerado Nativo!
Nota 10
gamemoderun %command%
1 CTD in 3 hours game time, while performing a finisher and hitting the MMB to target another enemy.
No issues found
It runs with no problems.

Playable, but need patience during slow load times.
When the game starts, a black screen is shown for about a minute while it is loading. Loading between scenes can also be slow. Just wait, and it will eventually finish. Unfortunately, Alt-Tab disrupts the game and requires it to be force closed and restarted. Alt+Enter does not switch between window and fullscreen modes.
My GPU is underpowered. Resolution and most video settings had to be decreased or turned off to obtain playable frame rates.
Character textures in character creation were all black. In a saved game, loaded into a completely black room with only the in game neon signs visible.
As noted in the graphics area, textures were all black. The game was unplayable.
Game and computer crash at character creation screen
Used new 40hz setting to reduce battery usage. Able to still run super smooth.
Loading saves crashes too. Game is not currently playable at all despite the Playable tag. Even tried downgrading, experimental, and GE.
Worked perfectly fine the whole playthrough. Some minor performance bugs and one crash, but those are most likely caused by the game itself.

Can't start new game and fails loading savegame.
Did't work with Proton 6.3, Experimental, 6.21-GE-2, TKG-6.17.r0; neither in Steam nor in Lutris. Fails with an [FLR] Error, Message "Unhandled exception occurred: 0XC0000005". (tested kernels: stock, xanmod-cacule, zen, tkg-cacule)
Even after starting a new game there will be a message in FledgeRenderer.log before error is thrown: "Failed to load vegetation voxel grid '../media-next/vegetation_data/level_detention_center.flrv'!"
No issues whatsoever and a performance fully on par with what I see on Windows.

Game freezes on load
Game starts up, loads for a bit but I get nothing but a blank screen until finally the computer totally freezes, no mouse or keyboard, and I'm forced to reboot using REISUB.
On some distros (specifically Pop!_OS and Manjaro), videos play slowly the first time you play the game. This issue doesn't happen on Arch (btw).
It's running fine, so long as you don't have an urge to multitask with other programs.
Could not return to the game after tabbing out of full screen. And playing in windowed mode had frame pacing issues.
except the few crashes and the long boot times, it runs great
alt-tabbing caused a couple of crashes.
it crashed a couple of times, once with a debit windows popup
Game runs with Vulkan, seems like a native game as it was just install and play. Performance is perfect, online features work.
Just add gamemoderun %command% to launch options to squeeze more performance.
Works great
Sometimes when you change between Fullscreen and Windowed Mode the game hangs and only a restart fixes it. When changing resolution the screen freezes sometimes as well, however Alt+Tab out and back in fixes that.
Works out of the box
No issues
Slight lag with the the swing of the camera view. (used mouse & kb)
I don't know why this game is unplayable to me seeing as for everyone else it works fine but its unplayable for me.
Character is blacked out during character creation and once I got to actually start playing nothing got rendered and everything was just grey except for the floating tutorial boxes and hud.
If anyone can help with this issue i am having, please do.
For a small performance price, this game runs very well, albeit not having the greatest optimization for any platform.
I saw a performance decrease of approx. 10% for my given hardware (~50fps instead of ~60fps on high settings).
The screen is dark grey without any textures.
Works Fine
If your controller disconnect ingame you must restart the game to use it, because he does not reconnect.
Flawless OOB.
A tad worse performance than in first game but nothing critical
Entire screen would become unusable at times and I'd be forced to restart
Broken quests, ammo resets to 0 if passed 999, double rewards, screen becomes static noise and is unplayable till reset
Could not be started with default settings. Had to force to use steam play and select proton 5.0-9
Game works very well, except some mouse issues. Sometimes using mouse can give a minor stutter
Works OOB without issues with exception of crackling sound during character creation.
Quests triggers & area flags seem to not activate at times stopping you from collecting rewards(e.g Gone Missing - The S&R weapons)/unable to get certain gear(e.g Ronin set & audio logs)
Glitchs visuels et artefacts autour des lumières, entre des textures et autour du personnage
Glitchs visuels et artefacts importants autour des lumières, entre des textures et autour du personnage.

Everything works great.
