Would loose keyboard input & after alt-tabbing several times to get input back bl3 would later crash (15-20min afterwards), Alt-tab functions normally on proton-5.0-7-alyx(no dlc intro movies & longer load times on this version).

Run the game first(let steam do install stuff), Then close the game(Just a black screen with working menu & music for me). enter steam/steamapps/common/Crysis Warhead/ | delete bin32 | Rename bin64 to bin32 | enter your new bin32 folder | delete crysis.exe | rename crysis64.exe to crysis.exe | open terminal and enter "protontricks 17330 d3dcompiler_43" |
After all that, works perfectly.
had to install the new mesa21 to fix it
was having stability issues (random crashes to desktop) & turning off my ram XMP profile (now just set to auto) sorted that out. running fullscreen no overlay
Steam Auto-installer wouldn't trigger after downloading the game
Had to uninstall a version of proton then select that version of proton in Doom's properties then click play, triggering a download of proton which would lead to doom installing. Plays Platinum after all that tho
Unplayable
Game starts, you can login to gog.com, then you arrive at the main menu which is blank, Music is running, menu sounds like you can interact with it & can also enter sub menus which do render but not completely functional.
Used Both 5.0-7 & 5.8-GE, problems occur with both
Will encounter menu problems that soft-lock the game(playing tutorial videos,surfing through weapon/armour upgrades, Trying to join specifically OPTIONAL missions hosted by other players). Good Performance otherwise
Could someone explain how to do https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install, I'm new to linux & cant find any clarification on how to get it working anywhere, just done the Xeno'Jiva fight & the game crashes out at the end, apparently this fixes it & i could continue playing afterwards Cheers
A-lot of stutter until the cache builds up, no problems with Multi-core in-game option enabled, running with V-sync off because i don't have any tearing issues, system not powerful enough to push Global Illumination so that is Off
Menu don't function the same as in windows(wont autolocate your closest gateway). Small amount of stuttering untill you have a game cache(large amount of textures, intown with other people is quite brutal). Might be a memory leak problem with steams game cache managment(keeps downloading more cache day after day, endup with 60+gig including base files untill i deleted poe & reinstalled) Its a 21.5 gig base install game
cannot complete story, cannot progress past path of the deathless
fails to install Origin
origin lite doesn't start after "installation", tried GE proton too & that don't work ether.
Quests triggers & area flags seem to not activate at times stopping you from collecting rewards(e.g Gone Missing - The S&R weapons)/unable to get certain gear(e.g Ronin set & audio logs)
Random Crashes on loading some zones & alt-tabbing back in
installed Proton tricks & tried the " protontricks 644930 -q --force vcrun2017 dotnet472 gdiplus " launch options along with no additional commands & wouldn't start in ether case
Occasionally freezes but very enjoyable
Stuttering during transition screens
Freezes with a "GetThreadContext" popup, after you hit Ok it sends a crash report then closes
