videos have placeholders, and they’re everywhere. the game crashed twice before running properly.
it crashed twice at the very first loading screen. on the third try it finally started.
once it started twice giving me a windows error about the game being already instanced. another time it ran, but quit to a fatal error window popup.
pretty good excepting a couple of issues.
I might be wrong, but i’m not sure the rainy section should look like that… I remember playing in windows it looked much better, but I may misremember.
some sections have lower fps than expected.
it started freezing at the title screen after a couple of runs. I verified the files and Steam didn’t download or noticed anything, but after that it started working again. probably something got broken on the files but maybe it’s worth noting. It’s installed on an NTFS drive.
some unexpected microstuttering once that went away on its own
slight slowdowns when loading new places... but it might be linux on an HDD and Windows on an SSD
IT'S FUCKING CYBERPUNK ON LINUX!! is this witchery??
maybe performing slightly less than win10, but I've lost all the graphic ini tweaking I did on windows
DxvkInstance: Failed to create instance
nvmd my previous report: more issues running games from an NTFS drive. had to uninstall Soldier, remove the NTFS library from Steam, then installing Soldier again and adding the NTFS library for good.
Perfect! I couldn't run it before due to an incorrectly mounted NTFS drive. fixed it by following Valve's guide for Proton with NTFS drives
we’re 50% down in performance here.
game barely runs 30 fps on minimal graphical settings, while it runs 60 WITH reshader in win10.
I have no idea if anything is different between the Epic Store version and the Steam version, however I’m launching the game using Proton via the Heroic launcher. the game runs super fine but it crashes an awful lot. like, sometimes I can’t even load my career game that the game already crashed. other times I can play for an hour. It’s incredibly frustrating.
Greeted by a Windows popup
"The game has encountered an error and will now shut down"
Compared to pure Arch, it works fine in Manjaro for some reason.
Sometimes my Steam Controller crashes bringing Steam down with it. Or maybe it’s Steam crashing first. Anyway it happened once or twice.
I’m not sure if the reflections on water look right, I can’t see the line of the water when I submerge.
performance too low
alttabbed out then came back to menubar over the game. fixed by exiting and entering fullscreen several times
win: 55-60 fps. linux: 45-50 fps with huge microstuttering
way too laggy and unoptimized
can't distinguish LB from RB from RT etc
game is stuttering and sluggish, never exceeds 40fps even on lower settings
except the few crashes and the long boot times, it runs great
alt-tabbing caused a couple of crashes.
it crashed a couple of times, once with a debit windows popup
It’s kind of enjoyable, but the slowdowns are very irritating. Turning off the two extra shaders helped.
The game drops 15-20 fps when a lot of fire is on the screen. And it drops down to 3 FPS when showing the particle effect when acquiring a new ability.
It crashed once (together with Steam) at the end of the first burning stake cutscene in the prologue. My Steam Controller kept on vibrating, then crashed with the game. Had to restart Steam AND hard turning off the SC
