Works perfectly out-of-the box.

If playing native you need -screen-fullscreen 0 in the launch options. I recommend forcing proton because the native version stuttered a lot (even though it was high fps)

gamemoderun %command% -screen-fullscreen 0
Sound played but the game didn't load.

Had to enable Proton Experimental to play. Beyond that, it runs perfectly.
Great experience out of the box

The default Steam settings cause a freeze after launch
Works great.

Works with Proton
Using EGS version from Heroic, using Proton from Steam. It got stuck on a black screen until I checked off "Enable Steam Runtime" in Heroic options then it works great.

60+ fps with these settings:
- Resolution: 1200 x 800
- Fullscreen: Off
- VSync: Off
- SSAO: On
- Shadow Distance: 150.0

-screen-fullscreen 0
When playing via controller, button icons for in-game prompts are missing. It either displays a blank white box, or a box with a "?" inside instead.
Needed to put "-screen-fullscreen 0" into the launch options to properly boot into the game. Without it, the game will freeze on the initial loading screen.

-screen-fullscreen 0
Without the "-screen-fullscreen 0" launch argument, you just get a mostly black screen with a little graphic at the bottom. With the argument, the game runs perfectly fine. It even runs in full screen...

10-20 FPS with any graphical settings
Tried different Proton versions, different graphics settings - useless. Too low FPS to play (at least for me)
Completed the game without any issues. Works great of the box. Keep in mind the Deck can get a little hot with this indie game.
%command% -screen-fullscreen 0
To fix any controller issues, if you have an xbox controller, disable steam input
Sometimes the game would crash when entering or exiting an area.
Performed well, no major problems. Steam Deck ran very hot and battery drain was quite high. On-screen button prompts were inaccurate.
On-screen button prompts do not display correctly.
On-screen button prompts often displayed the wrong button or none at all.
Not a good experience for me.
Cutscenes play at incredibly low FPS
Forced Proton, Native is broken.

Without a working controller, playing is painful.
No way to get a Steam Controller work as a controller. It works (but not great) with mouse + keyboard emulation.
The game does not work in native mode, it's a huge bummer.

Runs but need some additional argument for it
Add "-screen-fullscreen 0" if using lutris in the Right click on the game =>Configure=>Game Options=> Arguments.
For Steam Right click on the game =>Properties=>General=>Launch Options and add "%command% -screen-fullscreen 0"
NO need to do twice if using lutris and steam.
Seems to work fine with current proton
I just quickly tested the game with proton and flew around a few islands. Had no noticeable problems.
I did finish the game and unlocked all achievements on the native version. As mentioned below, the launch command -screen-fullscreen 0
solves the black screen on launch bug. For me this didn't even mean I'd have to play in windowed mode, I was able to set it back to fullscreen in the ingame settings.
I did not try to play with a controller on any of the versions.
native starts up but its only glitch screen. Crashes on proton too under 2-3 different versions.
Seems to work fine when I forced it to run on Proton 5.13-6, I couldn't get it to run native off the bat but I didn't fiddle with it much.
The game hung when I exited it
The native version didn't work, but it worked great with the latest version of Proton (6.3-4)
FPS were better by few % on Proton version in open world, but due to technical problems i eventually switched to native version
When playing thru Proton, the save got eventually corrupted and stuck on a loading screen, I was force to start a new game
- Proton version:
- falling thru textures indoors resulting in infinite fall
- world just slowly "unloaded" resulting in empty screen
- save corruption
- Native version:
- black screen on startup
Finished the game from start to finish using the native version without encountering any problem (except the black screen on launch)
Black screen on NATIVE fixed by adding launch arguments
%command% -screen-fullscreen 0
the game doesn't start
The native version is not working. But the proton version works great.
Even in the previous version, the proton often began to slow down with the right wing when playing on the steam controller. But with the proton version 5-13 the problem has been fixed.
The native version does not work, it shows a black screen. The proton version works well, only once the game was on a white screen when I flew outside the world map.
Game works flawlessly
Whenever I try to exit the game, it locks up and the only way to exit is to quit Steam. You can exit by Alt+F4 in Pop!_OS, I'm not sure if this keybind is in other distros tho
Game boots to a black screen on the Linux native version. The Glorious Eggroll version worked great
I'm using Xbox controller and sometimes when you are flying, the character turns right as if you are pressing the RT. If you want to go straight again, you must press the RT.
When you start the native version, although the sound is working, you only see a black screen. I've to run the game trough Proton
rarely
i needed to disable Steam Overlay for this one
With the exception of one minor controller issue, the game worked flawlessly. I finished it with nearly all achievements.
Occasionally my character in-game would act as if RT was pressed when it wasn't. Pressing the trigger on my controller would resolve the issue. Not sure if this is an issue with my controller, with the game itself, or with Proton, but I figured I'd mention it here.
The native version crashes on launch, so playing it through Proton is recommended.
The option to continue from my save point on windows wasn't available. But I could continue after saving on Linux. Maybe its local saves only?
Native build has a black screen on menu. You get audio but can't see what you're doing. Don't even bother with it, just force it to run with Steam Play and it'll work perfectly.
Native game don't work. Use Proton 5.0-1 or higher.
Proton 5.0-1 - work Proton 4.11-12 or older don't work
Runs great under Proton 4.11.
Hangs at a black screen using the Linux native client.
Native opens a black screen. Proton 4.11 plays it perfectly
AER Native doesn't work, but runs in Proton flawlessly
I got 60FPS the entire game. Granted, it's a small game that isn't graphically demanding, but it still worked as well as intended.
