Not a good experience for me.
Cutscenes play at incredibly low FPS
Forced Proton, Native is broken.
-screen-fullscreen 0
When playing via controller, button icons for in-game prompts are missing. It either displays a blank white box, or a box with a "?" inside instead.
Needed to put "-screen-fullscreen 0" into the launch options to properly boot into the game. Without it, the game will freeze on the initial loading screen.
Wow! It just works!
Plays as if it was a native port. No lag, fps drops, or crashes!
Boots into the menu just fine, but never loads in-game.
Apex works great! See below for important note.
Multiplayers works great!
There is ALOT of stuttering due to Apex compiling the shaders throughout gameplay. However, this can be alleviated by downloading the Shader Caches! See here for the download+installation!: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/t5xrho/dxvk_state_cache_for_fixing_stutter_in_apex/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Works out of the box!
I've noticed a heavy FPS drop while opening the deployable menu while in-game. It only happened once, no longer happens after the first occurance.
254 player multiplayer works flawlessy! No lag or bugs that I'm noticing.
Game runs great after getting through initial finicky save data import.
Came across issues attemping to export my save from the standard version of Death Stranding into the Director's Cut edition. vvv See dobe0331's report below for the solution if you have issues! vvv
The game runs as if it is native.
While in-game and in the pause menu, moving the mouse drops frames into 10-20's.
Able to get into menu just fine, but game disconnects with Error 500 when attempting to load into a match.
FINALLY! BHVR flips the switch, allows EAC to run on Linux!
Audio was not working initially on the first launch after installation, toggling the "Mute Focus" setting on and off fixed the issue for me.
Usernames in end-game chat look slightly blurry with thick black outlines
Mulitplayer worked flawlessly, no noticable lag whatsoever.
Saw the news in my Steam feed that Dead By Daylight was verified on the Steam Deck, I thought it was too good to be true. Installed the game immediately, joined & played through an entire match with no issues, other than the slight audio bug stated before, which was fixed within moments.
As of Proton 7.0-2, experimental is no longer needed! Runs smooth as butter, no issues!
Multiplayer worked without a hitch.
Works pretty good! No issues from me!
I experienced 1 random crash while queued up for a match.
On the main menu, there is text on the top left screen that says: "PATHS NEED TO BE REBUILT"
It goes away when in-game, but returns everytime you return to the menu after a match. Not quite sure if this only affects Linux or not.
The game is going through an abysmal launch right now, servers are crapping themselves from the influx of players trying to play at once.
Most matches won't even start when you do find one.
Around 90% of the time, it always says that someone has declined a match... even though there is no decline button. Though when you do find a working match, it runs perfectly!
Hopefully they resolve the issues soon, this is a day 1 report.
Game runs good. The Lumos spell causes the game to run extremely slowly on Ultra settings. All settings on Low fixes this.
gamemoderun %command%
Casting the Lumos spell in-game causes a HUGE impact in performance.
Changing the Upscalling method in-game causes the game to run extremely sluggishly, when when you change the Upscalling method back to it's original. Restarting the game fixes this.
It runs....not very well but it runs...
This game is a slideshow on my hardware. Have to play on Low settings with FSR Performance enabled to get playable frames, which in turn makes the game look very, very crappy and blurry.
Enabling DX12 makes the game run substantially worse. I recommend only running on DX11.
The DEMO runs perfectly! Only one little minor artifact was noticed.
During the first boss fight, some corrupted subtitles are displayed intermittently. Not quite sure if this is a proton issue or a game issue. All other subtitles are displayed perfectly fine.
Hopefully the full release runs just as good!
Lobotomy Corporation runs amazingly as if it was native! Zero issues with save data as well!
Works out of the box! Mods work perfectly as well!
Runs perfectly at 60FPS with all settings on Epic.
Mods work perfectly too! I've installed a bunch of mods to test them out, and they all worked with no issue. (Aside from the mods that conflicted with each other)
Runs perfectly without issues!
I beat the entire game, I never noticed any bugs, nor artifacts. Game ran as if it were a native port!
Works fine out of the box.
Game runs at lower frames during gameplay.
Game initially stutters on first playthrough as the shaders are being compiled. Goes away after playing for a while.
Multiplayer works great, no issues.
Proton 7.0-1 did not work for me, game refused to boot, had to force Experimental for the game to launch.
Refuses to load!
Game installs and launches into the menu perfectly fine, but loading into any game results in an infinite loading screen! :(
Native works great!
Online matches worked just fine.
One observation I made is that the loading screen w/ the character portaits does not show up when loading matches. Its super minor though, game runs great. :)
Game runs perfect!
The only issue that exists for me is that the intro that displays thatgamecompany's logo every time the game launches is black, I can only hear the audio. Very minor issue. Game runs perfectly well, no other issues that I've noticed.
Game works great, runs with no issues!
Loaded my save files which were from Windows perfectly fine!
Native works like....native! No issues!
When distro hopping, sometimes the in-game audio decoder/encoder breaks, causing most in game sound effects to not play. Re-installing fixes the issue.
Multiplayer works as normal.
Runs super smoothly! No crashes nor issues!
Installed with the Anniversary Edition DLC
Game runs great! Some minor audio issues for me though, but still playable!
Some minor audio glitches here and there. Crackles and skips.
Does not run well at all on my system, super low fps ~10
Incredibly low FPS, as well as massive input delay.
Tried GloriousEggroll & Proton Experimental, neither improved my experience at all.
Works like charm! Games runs great!
Multiplayer worked flawlessly!
There are initial stutters as the game compiles shaders, goes away after prolonged gameplay over time.
I'd like to change my previous report, as of Proton 7.0-2, the game runs flawlessly now!
There is one minor thing I have noticed though. In the graphics settings, the game seems to fail at detecting the monitor's refresh rate when set to "2X screen's refresh rate" which causes the game to run at uncapped instead.
Audio only. Nothing but a white screen with a black box in the top left corner is displayed.
Desktop mode works flawlessly, however VR mode does not!
Vr mode crashing on startup
Game refuses to boot, missing a file.
"An error occured while updating Vampire Survivors (missing executable): /home/mark/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Vamprie Survivors/launcher.sh"
Verifying the game files as well as Re-installing the game does not fix the issue.
