install d3dcompiler_47 in winetricks
Crashed once after alt+tab
Launched the game from Epic Games Store with Heroic Games Launcher. Works only after installing d3dcompiler_47 with winetricks. After that everything is fine
FPS is unstable, sometimes drops from 60 to 10-20 for couple of seconds
Launched with Heroic from Epic games store. Completed the game successfully. It is completely playable if you don't mind FPS drops sometimes
Work flawlessly out of the box from EGS using Heroic games launcher
10-20 FPS with any graphical settings
Tried different Proton versions, different graphics settings - useless. Too low FPS to play (at least for me)
taskset -c 0-14 %command%
requires physx
Check other reports how to use protontricks for physx
Game refused to start on discrete Nvidia gpu with gpu offload, but works flawlessly on integrated AMD gpu.
Need to install d3d_compiler47.dll
Works great after installing d3d_compiler47.dll with winetricks. Launched with Heroic Games Launcher from Epic Games store
Tried to lauch using Heroic Games Launcher from Epic games store. Tried different proton verstions, but always have black screen with sound
I have DRM-free version of crimsonland from Humble Bundle. Linux native version works badly (can't handle two screens, freezes, crashes), so tried windows version with Steam Proton. Works great out of the box
Only works with older proton verision
Runs out of the box, but crashes on Alt+Tab (not a problem for me)
Seems OK, but cannot restore after Alt+Tab
On gamepad only movement works, action button does not work. Also sometimes had wrong mapping on keyboard ('Esc' -> jump)
Works good, but was not able to play on gamepad
Works perfectly fine, but time from launching the game and getting into main menu is quite significant, like several minutes. So be patient at start
Significant framerate drops in some scenes, but it is playable
Finished the game without any issue, but had to change controller settings
To make controller work I needed to change settings in Steam. It's kind of strange, because it works in other games without that
Starts fullscreen, but KDE panel is showing above the picture. Need to Alt+Tab to focus the game
Sometimes can crash if you Alt+Tab
Good experience out of the box
Works only on DX9. Could not be started after set DX10 or DX11. Luckily it is possible to launch game in safe mode and return DX9
Completed the game without any issue, but installed from Epic Games store in Lutris (don't have this game in Steam)
Work out of the box, but performance significantly better with Proton experimental
Generally it works good, but thumbs down for crash after the attic. Have to pass this on windows or download save after crash
Cut scenes do not work without Proton-GE. With Proton-GE they are a little bit bright and have washed out colors, like not enough color contrast
It is unable to complete the game on linux. It always crashes after the attic. Fortunately with cloud save you can continue the game on windows. After some time returned to linux and finished the game successfully.
There are color artifacts (several colorful lines on screen) in some scenes
Crashed once
There is colorful test screen instead of background in some scenes (unplayable). Proton-GE fixes this issue, but colorful lines glitch still there...
There is annoying dialog about not recognized video card on game launch, but after pressing OK everything is fine
FPS is unstable, but acceptable. Sometimes there are significant FPS drops, but I saw the same complaints on windows too.
The game refused to start on latest proton version, but works with 6.3-8. Has minor artifacts sometimes and saves does not show previews. Apart of that, absolutely playable
Was not able to finish the game with good ending because at the last scene when you need to save Paloma only black screen was shown.
Works out of the box with default Proton. The game is absolutely playable, but has some small bugs and significant one at the end (black screen).
Game works out-of-the box on latest proton. I was able to finish it completely. But performance in some places little annoying
Some videos at launching the game and at the finale are not played properly. (colored mesh instead of video)
There are significant FPS drops (from 60-70 to 15-30) in some locations, especially in chapter 8 (Mines). Changing graphics settings does not help.
Works great natively out of the box
Some games run better with Proton even if they have native linux port, but Talos is NOT one of those. Works perfectly fine, and you can even choose display to run a game in settings!
Seems to be working. Did not spend a lot of time in game to be sure
Only 22 FPS
Works out of the box even in multiplayer
Could not even launch with Heroic Games Launcher
Seems OK, but spent not much time in the game
