Worked good till the end. Only played the solo campaign, with mouse and keyboard.
Mouse aiming felt kinda weird but I think that's the PC port fault.

The game runs perfect but there are a few quirks that should be known. The game runs with black bars top and bottom at native resolution. If you want these removed you must use "Easy Flawless Widescreen for Deck" from GitHub.
When using this make sure you set flawless to start minimized, turn off the aspect ratio fix under the Binary Domain Plugin as it's not needed on the deck and causes visuals issues with the game on all platforms. Lastly if using this to remove the black bars you MUST set the game to run as windowed in the Binary Domain Configurator.
Both controller and Xbox button prompts need to be enabled via the games configuration tool.
The game runs perfectly out of the box but for some reason the FPS limiter must be enabled or you will encounter significant performance issues. The game holds 60 frames per second on Max settings 99% of the time with drops only occurring when there's lots of alpha effects on the screen.
The game will hold what appears to be a locked 60fps even with the frame limiter off but you again will experience significant performance issues if you do not turn the steam deck limiter on to 60 frames per second.
If you don't mind the black bars the game runs perfectly fine out of the box without any tinkering, just make sure you enable controller support and button prompts via the games configuration tool and you turn on the FPS limiter to avoid performance issues.
The game doesn't have very good anti-aliasing but I was able to set the resolution in the steam properties for the game to 1900x1200 check the box that says set external and internal resolution, and then was able to run the game upscaled at 1680 by 1050 to help with the aliasing without any performance issues at all.
Gyro as joystick triggered upon holding LT
You will need to set the game to controller mode manually via seperate settings app, with may take several attempts.
Voice recognition doesn't seem to work. It's just a gimmik, though, you can play the whole game without it and won't loose much.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 mangohud %command%
Cannot bring game to 2nd screen. Should be done from "Configure Binary Domain" but the change in question never persisted.
The sensitivity feels awkward at times (using mouse), but the game itself might be to blame.
Heavy stuttering by default. As mentioned in another report, setting DXVK_ASYNC=1
solved the issue for the most part, and only occasional and very slight stutters remain. It may take a few minutes after the game is launched, but feels overall very smooth nonetheless!
The stutters were a big dissapointment, but they are luckily fixable for the most part. Also, the game itself seems capped at 60fps; it does not seem to be a linux related "issue".
Voice recognition to order your allies around works poorly. Not sure if this is a Linux or game issue.
Stuttering due to shader caching. Solved by using the launch command: DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
Set FPS 45 FPS and set a fixed TWattage and GPU clock will get rid of stutters
Set 45 FPS and lowered to TPD 9 Watts and 900mhz GPU clock
I experienced a lot of stuttring during scene changes and fast transistions with default settings. After lowering the FPS a bit setting a fixed TDP/GPU this issues went away completely
Generall hitching and dips into the 50fps range in hecting battles. Proton Experiemental exhibited degrated performance right after loading a save that went away after a few seconds.
Game consistently froze up every couple of minutes of gameplay upon loading a Chapter 5 save. I tested both the default Proton and Experimental.
PLayable in spite of controller & Microsoft .NET issues.
Default controller mapping was completely asinine (aim with Select, shoot with Start, etc.) Also, button prompts are only for keyboard & mouse, no controller inputs can be activated.
Every time you start up the game, Microsoft .NET Framework installs and gives a "You must use "Turn Windows features on or off" in the Control Panel to install or configure Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5" error. Just pressing OK starts the game with no issues, but having it pop up every time you start the game is annoying.
If you're willing to put up with that, the game is perfectly playable.
First time and every launch will fail installing .Net Framework; not required to play, so able to delete from resource folder in desktop mode
Have to go into the setup program to enable native controller support (for displaying buttons correctly)
Seems to have an issue with streaming as going to new section drops the framerate to 30 FPS for a couple seconds
Going through the settings while in game caused the game to freeze; opening and closing Steam mode would unfreeze it
During combat and walking sections, runs at a solid 60 FPS with max settings with MLAA on. Traversal/scene transitions have heavy framerate drops.

Il gioco funziona e gira bene
Game boots its launcher on first boot, you should take this opportunity to change the controller settings to Controller so you can see on-screen prompts, game works flawlessly regardless of if you do this however, just without controller prompts

Failed to install .NET 3.5 Redist Package, able to launch to game but its black screen and after few seconds the game not responding
popup "You must use "Turn Windows features on or off" in the Control Panel to install or configure Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5"
There's issues with button prompts and stuttering upon first starting the game, but it's still perfectly playable and enjoyable.
I played with an XBOX ONE controller the whole time, but all button prompts were for mouse and keyboard, and there's no way to change it as far as I can tell. It can be confusing at first, but you'll get used to it eventually.
Every time you start playing, the framerate is in the single digits for the first couple of minutes or so, and there's a LOT of stuttering. After that though the game runs fine.
Used proton 5.13-4 with kernel 5.4.0-59 (Linux Mint). Flawless experience right out of the box. No tweaks needed.
Well optimised for lower end systems.

Runs without any issues.
Every startup .net will be reinstalled. Sometimes with an error message. Game is running anyway.
.NET fails to install, game setup starts anyways, configuration menu has mouse drift to upper left, making it impossible to play
No issues.
Run perfectly

It performs better than Windows 7 and Windows 10.

performance is good works out of the box there is .net error on startup but it can be ignored there are few graphical glitches but it's totally playable

Working perfectly out of the box.

Complains about dotnet 3.5 on every launch (but it can be ignored). Plays mostly fine with keyboard and mouse (some keys like left shit can't be remapped, though this isn't a proton-specific issue). Performance drops in combat whenever enemy robots explode, but still playable. Had some issues with audio crackling, though switching to Proton 3.7 seemed to resolve this.

Rename or delete dotnet 3.5 in the redist folder. After that it works fine, some minor drops here and there but overall totally playable

Complains about donet 3.5 not being installed, but game runs fine despite this, if you find this annoying you can delete its setup file from "redist" folder.
Unfortunately, I don't have a microphone so I can't check if it works (you can use keyboard to issue commands as well), and I can't rate gold without knowing if everything works.

won't launch.Seems game does't recognised my gpu.Here is a screen https://i.imgur.com/KvzJs28.png

Complains about dotnet, controller causes camera to spin around, kb+mouse OK. Tested vwey briefly but game seems to run as good as with previous versions of Proton. Performance is very good.

.Net Framework installation errors can be avoided by removing or renaming the installation file in the game's "redist" folder. Busted xinput controller mapping can be worked around around by unplugging the controller/receiver, starting the game and plugging it back in when the title screen appears. The latter doesn't seem to be a Proton specific issue as it happens on Windows as well.

Like others have said, .Net Framework doesn't install correctly, but game launches normally; must run configuration utility before entering the game; and although it's possible to change input from keyboard to XBox 360 controller in the configuration utility, using controller in game results in the camera continuously spinning around.

Single player works flawlessly out of the box. Multiplayer wasn't tested. For proper controller mappings, start from big picture mode after setting up controller in BP.

.Net Framework does not install correctly, but game launches anyway. Didn't try to use controller.

.Net Framework does not install correctly, but game launches anyway. Need to run configuration utility before game will start. Xbox 360 controller mapped incorrectly making it unusable; this seems to be an issue on Windows as well, so workarounds for that OS might provide some clues for how to fix it on Proton.

To prevent Net Framework installation error you can remove (or rename) dotNetFx35setup.exe in "redist" directory.

It keeps complaining about not being able to install .Net Framework 3.5. But the game starts. Default mouse sensitivity is crazy.

Microphone is working too

In each launch this message is displayed: You must use "Turn Windows features on or off" in the Control Panell to install or configure Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0.
Bodies of water present bugs.

Necessary to run included configuration utility before launching the game
