Tried the demo and completed it in 37 minutes without any issues. Judging from the other reports here, the same should be true for the full game.
Didn't start on GNOME Wayland. Had to change to a x.org session.
- Launcher doesn't work
- Doesn't start on GNOME Wayland
- Battleye anti-cheat prevents joining most public MP-servers.
Does not start. After .NET installation, Steam says the game is running but nothing comes up on the screen. The process has to be terminated with 'kill '.
Stuck at intro screen. Had to SSH into my PC from another device and 'kill -n9 ' to kill the process, but then it sent me into a kernel panic and I had to do a hard reboot.
Works great. With older versions of Proton I sometimes got crackling audio after long play sessions, but maybe that's fixed now that FAudio is implemented in Proton 3.16-6?
Works perfectly. Make sure to use Proton 3.16-6 or newer, as earlier versions has some minor issues.
Doesn't start until you install vcrun2017 with winetricks. Except for that, my experience with it has been flawless and I've pretty much played the entire game with all of it's content.
Runs perfectly except it will hang on exit. No big deal really.
Major stuttering initially as the shaders compile when you explore the levels, but once all the shaders are compiled and stored to disk cache, it runs perfectly.
Starts (which is better than Windows 10 could manage) but the in game videos will not play. Since the videos are essential in this game, I will give it a borked rating.
Medium gfx settings. Stutters a bit when compiling shaders, but it's perfectly playable. No issues otherwise. "It just works!".
Works great. Had a GPU hang when trying with AMDVLK so maybe it's best to stick to RADV for this game.
Very slow playback of videos. Can be worked around with launch option '-interline' but that causes rows of small black bars across the screen. It makes the game playable, but ugly.
First start worked fine. Skipped the tutorial and went right into the settings and made some changes under the graphics and audio tabs. Then I restarted the game to apply the changes, but now the game won't start and CTD's before reaching the main menu.
Requires KeepRes=1 in conquest.ini otherwise it doesn't start. Even then it seems to be missing in game music and perhaps some audio effects as well, but seems otherwise playable.
Finished the game without any problem apart from a minor performance issue.
There's one scene ("Last Rites" in Ch. 2) where the frame-rate drops quite a bit (~15fps) on 'Very High', probably related to VRAM (I have 4GiB). It's not a big deal though, and it runs fine if lowering effects and shadow to high. The rest of the game runs great even on 'Very High'.
Doesn't start. Apparently there are workarounds as mentioned by other reports (cracked .exe & D9VK) but I didn't bother to try.
Works great. Performance is pretty much on par with native Windows 10.
Does not start. Apparently single-player is supposed to work if you use a cracked .exe but I didn't bother to try.
