Perfect, no issues.

Played one match, noticed no issues. Any performance issues are likely the game itself and not Linux/Proton, as you have complete freedom to play with far more bots than it can reasonably handle.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Native version freezes/crashes within a couple of minutes of gameplay. Works fine through Proton.

See PCGamingWiki page for details on editing .cfg files for modern resolutions, widescreen, FPS cap, etc.
Required that I run RInput.dll alongside the game, else mouse movement was stutter-y and vertical sensitivity was double the horizontal.

Alt-Tabbing sometimes results in the game hanging indefinitely.
Make sure to patch via a COD4X server or do it manually.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Had to manually edit resolution in config file. Game crashed when setting from in-game menu.
Alt-Tabbing often results in the game hanging indefinitely.
Vanilla multiplayer is very unsafe. Alterware + iw4x is playable.

Native Linux build has constant flickering on shadows. Not present when playing through Proton.
Awful performance + constant crashes.
Runs significantly worse than when running the Windows version through Proton.
Constantly crashes, pretty much unplayable.
Native version is outright unplayable due to godawful performance and constant crashing, regardless of launch options or settings tweaks. Windows version run through Proton has almost no issues whatsoever, but cannot really play due to triggering VAC.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Game intermittently stutters, but from my research this just seems to be the game itself and not caused by Proton.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Takes a bit long to open for some reason, but never had any other issues to speak of across multiple full playthroughs.

My custom pipewire configuration caused constant crackling/popping/hitching, have to revert to a default I keep around for situations like this.
Must be played on Experimental, game would not launch on latest GE. It also seems like text scaling is only designed for up to 1080p, I'm playing at 1440p and the menu text is noticably blurry. Come on, Koei.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Installed the Unofficial 1.3 Patch and had no issues after a couple hours of play.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Occasionally, the game will suddenly start having severe frame pacing issues, most commonly from walking around near Measurehead's area. Fix method is just to reboot the game.
Played through the game 4 times now, had roughly the same experience regarding performance each time.

Lighting on certain objects appears to flicker.
Game does not run when launched with gamemode or mangohud in launch arguments. Otherwise, no issues in an hour or so of testing.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
No issues at all. All slowdown is an intended part of the game itself, mimicking slowdown in the arcade version.

Without EchoPatch, it's really antiquated and rough, especially the HUD. Do yourself a favor and just use EchoPatch, it's all of the old piecemeal fixes rolled into one and it fixes the HUD scaling.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Alt+Tabbing in normal fullscreen hardlocks the game. Exclusive Fullscreen seems fine.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8,vorbisFile=n,b" gamemoderun mangohud %command%
ProtonDB will display that I don't own the game because I am playing this version via a family share library. No issues now after about 4 hours worth of gameplay.
Game downgraded to version 1.0
Mods in use: Silent Patch, Widescreen Fix, GInput, Framerate Vigilante, and SkyGFX.
DXVK_CONFIG="dxgi.customVendorId = 10DE" gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Severe performance issues, regardless of Proton version used. Game did not want to run at higher than ~22 FPS, barely used GPU or CPU at all. Tried disabling GSYNC, tried running in Wayland and X11, tried multiple Proton versions, tried all kinds of graphics settings. No dice. Will return in the future and try gamescope whenever it plays nicer with my NVIDIA card.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
General UE5 performance hogging. Upper settings for shadows are incredibly intensive for seemingly little quality difference. There is one area later on in Bloom that is significantly more intensive than any other part of the game.
Game has a permanent depth of field filter that doesn't seem to have any option for toggling. First person sections are very low FOV.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Perfect, no issues at all.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Game seems to have a random chance to rapidly degrade performance and eventually crash. Autosave is implemented so it's annoying, but not deal-breaking.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
No issues.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
No issues. In-game slowdown is intended, mimicking the slowdown of the original arcade release.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
About 25 hours in with no issues or crashes to report.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Seemed to be completely free of issues.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
All fullscreen methods (including what seems to be borderless window fullscreen) result in a very thin layer of 2-3 white pixels around all 4 edges of the screen. Doesn't seem like anything can be done about this, and I don't find it to be an issue, but you should be aware of it if that kind of thing bothers you.

Saw a lot of people reporting the freeze/crash during the splash screens at the start and figured I should leave this here: I was also experiencing these. After swapping from an X11 session to a Wayland session, the game seems to work normally. Have booted, navigated the menus, and am playing the tutorial section right now with no issue. Did not try vanilla Proton or Experimental.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
After 40 minutes to an hour, frame pacing would signficantly plunge when moving the mouse around. Was unable to identify a cause or fix.
Crashed a handful of times with no warning.
Dubiously playable with regard to the issues affecting me. At least EAC works now, I guess.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Game is playable but the English translation is awful. At worst it's pretty much gibberish, at best it's still awkward and stilted in nearly every piece of dialogue.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Game doesn't properly close when exited, requires force closing via Steam or system monitor. Didn't test mouse+keyboard, only a Series X controller, which was fine for the length of the tutorial level.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Has intermittent frame pacing issues. They're not too bad and won't really affect how the game plays, but they are noticeable.
DXVK_CONFIG="dxgi.customVendorId = 10DE" gamemoderun mangohud %command%
DXVK_CONFIG setting was required for the game to actually launch, without it it would instantly throw up the UE5 crash report window. See EntirelyTom's report for details on what to do if this affects you, which may happen if you have both an iGPU and a dGPU.
That aside: performance is still quite below the bar, but I'm still approving it because it's very early access and this was expected. Will be checking in every now and then, hoping to see performance improvements.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Game has very bad frame pracing, resulting in weird micro-stutters despite running at 100+ fps at all times.
DXVK_CONFIG="dxgi.customVendorId = 10DE" gamemoderun mangohud %command% +r_rhirenderfamily d3d11
Custom launch arguments above were required in order for the game to use my dedicated NVIDIA GPU instead of the integrated Intel GPU.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Game never launched on Wayland. Swapped to X11 and had no issues. Game seems a bit heavy on the GPU despite how it looks, otherwise no problems at all.
