Basically the same as Windows, Performance issues are from the game's poor optimization itself
Runs as expected for a game with memory leaks such as this.
Said memory leaks can be improved with mods, which work just as they do on Windows.
Left pad = Mouse wheel, R1 = Middle click, A = Space, Start = ESC
Text appears to be designed for 1080p and up displays. Some text, especially during management preparation is not rendered properly at 720p.
Game is very poorly optimized. By the time you reach the bottom layer, FPS is below 30 90% of the time, with frequent drops to single-digits.
Crashing occurs on Windows as well. Fixed with memory leak mod.
Game runs great through Proton, but the Deck's CPU can't handle optimization this poor towards the endgame. Memory leak fan patch is borderline mandatory to prevent crashing.
I didn't played the Windows version to compare to, but I didn't noticed any unusual behavior compared to videogames in common.
I don't know why my report is classified as a tinkering report. I didn't tinker anything, I didn't even switched to older Proton versions, I used the latest available release in the offical Steam menu.
Runs exellently.
Mods also work normally.
Only issues are those that happen on Windows as well.
This game runs really well, aside from the memory leak issue that plauges the game.
When running the game for the first time, the game was running at 5 fps and was using 80% of my CPU (an insane amount considering my CPU is powerful, and the game is lightweight). I uninstalled the game, restarted my PC, and reinstalled it. For some reason that fixed the issue.
I have this game modded since Lobotomy Corporation has a memory leak problem that needs to be patched with a mod. I installed the mod loader (BaseMod) and the "Optimization Mod" to fix this issue (https://www.nexusmods.com/lobotomycorporation/mods/57?tab=description)
I also have a couple of QoL mods:
- Permanent Agents https://www.nexusmods.com/lobotomycorporation/mods/79?tab=description
- More Detailed Info https://www.nexusmods.com/lobotomycorporation/mods/47?tab=description
Works perfectly!
Text was too small. Either couldn't or could barely read.
Changed the d-pad to match arrow keys.
Couldn't proceed because the text in the management section was too small for me to be able to read.
Seems to have had a lot of trouble loading the first tutorial (as far as I got).
I didn't get very far. I gave up trying on the Deck during the first Tutorial. The text was too small for me to consider playing on it.
No major issues in a 100% playthrough out of the box
Occassional missing facial features or equipment on characters (graphical only). These would always get resolved on a restart and there was no functional impact (the weapons, gifts, etc. did still work even if they were not visible).
There was sometimes lag along with increasing memory usage after playing for multiple hours. Restarting the game would always resolve it which seems to suggest a possible memory leak in the game. Given the long amount of time required to hit this issue and the easy resolution, it's not a huge issue.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES=dxgi=n PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
Runs a bit blurry, but this might be waylands fault
FPS between 9 and 27, frequent crashes. No other bugs noticed.
Consistant crashes on day three, as the third employee reaches the abnormality.
Runs extremely slowly regardless of graphics quality
If you want to play this game correctly - you need to make sure that you installing it on EXT4 file system.
It's playable but slight performance issues in late game
Sometimes the mouth of workers are missing You can fix this by going to menu and load the game again
I feel like I should be able to run this at better FPS but don't really know
Works perfectly!
Game runs perfectly out of the box, didn't encounter a single issue
great ootb
Ran perfectly well on Proton just as it would on Windows.
Lobotomy Corporation runs amazingly as if it was native! Zero issues with save data as well!
Good and playable without any tinkering. It just works!
This game works out of the box without any adjustments. I am very happy to see, that it worked out of the box. Just installing it and starting. Nothing more needed.
Proton-5.9-GE-6-ST
worked 100%
Works without issue after changing gpu drivers
I've tried getting this going on all versions of proton currently out.
Error box says lobotomy encountered an error and has to close and it generated a crash report.
Works perfectly, not an issue or a bug.
Game will start and runs well, but text is obscured in blocks of various opacity, some completely opaque, rendering most crucial text unreadable. Various sprites and textures are completely missing, making game essentially unplayable.
Works fine, save file imported successfully from steam cloud.
No issues
