Mods work perfectly too! I've installed a bunch of mods to test them out, and they all worked with no issue. (Aside from the mods that conflicted with each other)

The game wouldn't launch at all for me until I changed the Proton version, so it's weird that Steam rates it as "playable." Maybe this was broken in a recent update, but it is NOT playable out of the box. However, it runs just fine after changing to Proton GE 7-27.
Just work with defaut proton.
Custom protons like GE work fine too, the game have some strange defaut to play on keyboard, but no problem.
Worked 99% OOTB with Proton stable, except the Spike Chunsoft logo video didn't play. On Proton GE it does, but I didn't notice any other issues with non-GE. Cloud saves sync successfully to Steam Deck, but so did my graphics settings, so you may have to adjust those when switching between devices.
One of the startup videos rendered incorrectly with default Proton, switching to GE-Proton7-24 fixed it. I tried at first using a newer GE version (7-31), which played the startup video correctly, but then immediately crashed. I did not test if these video render errors effected the actual game.
Game run perfectly, no issues
PC Control scheme is not great but that's a problem with the game itself and not proton, I had to use a pro switch controller
