The in game chat is a bit awkward to use with the steam deck keyboard but the quick replies work well enough anyway, negating this issue
Game works well however if you want to use your own songs some tinkering in the desktop is needed to get them in am accessible area.
Controller does not work in any menus so you have to use touch and even when using controller in game the mappings are unintuitive and a mess
Random lag spikes
Controls don't map well to the steam deck controller making the game awkward to play and not very fun
The starting menu is difficult to navigate with default controls and even with touchscreen the screen was awkward
Touch screen was inaccurate
No EAC update from BHVR
Tried to run the game however EAC doesn't allow it to open. Requested information from bhvr but got the below:
"We understand your passion for the game and believe us when we say we want to see the game available on the Steamdeck! The Dev team are not able to give an ETA on this currently, but rest assured if enough players want it, it will happen :)"
So no hope for any time soon.
Game can get past EAC loading but just before the main menu you get an EAC error (EAC client cannot be instantiated)
Occasional lag for a couple seconds after a save that isn't present on PC
Game runs perfectly on steam deck even with mods installed
Steam cloud save issues where save file wouldn't download from cloud and ended up overwriting cloud version
Most recent patch for either the steam deck or the game has slowed load times significantly on the steam deck but other than that no other issues.
On first load the gamepad wasn't detected by the game so it was expecting keyboard input and the only way to resolve was restarting the game. Worked fine after this
Game runs but controls are poor
Lots of small text
Apparently the devs of this game are looking at controller support, should hopefully make the game absolutely perfect on the steam deck
Some text in game was hard to read but changing to max graphics sorted this issue
Game played as expected on multiplayer, no issues
Increase text size
Some input could be laggy but overall fine
Played via remote play together. Game ran well and was easy to get working with no extra work required
Lots of keybind changes to make it playable
Game crashes due to an invalid path error so can't get in to it to play
Removed click from right track pad because it was too sensitive to registering the click
Some text actually clipped out of the screen so you couldn't read it
Only issue to note is that on the steam deck the game is pretty dark and hard to see some times even at max brightness but this adds to the immersion of it
Despite the game supporting controller you have to use the keyboard layout otherwise you will have tips that constantly show on the screen telling you how to move etc. that won't go until it detects the keyboard input. No way to change this.
Game should support xbox 360 controller but does not support any controller layout for the steam deck.
Occasional game freezes at random points while playing
Overall game works okay but the controller not being detected makes it awkward to play and learn the controls for. A custom layout would most likely work better but would take a lot of customisation and testing
Game doesn't open
When trying to open the game the steam loading shows up but then the game instantly closes itself. Tried forcing proton experimental and normal proton but neither version made a difference.
Can't get past graphics menu
Pop up box when starting doesn't allow the cursor to go low enough to click it to select specified graphics settings. Tried with cursor and touchscreen with no luck
Changed right track pad to being the mouse (previously not mapped) and also changed the bindings of the select and start buttons to tab and escape to make full use of the buttons (previously mapped incorrectly)
Game can be a bit hard to get in to until you can use the menu to change the controls to a controller but once there game works perfectly
Mouse pointer showed up on first loading the game and couldn't get rid of it but went when actually started playing
Default resolution has text that's incredible difficult to read
The default resolution of the game made everything low quality and hard to see. Can be resolved by setting the resolution to 1280x800
Solid game for steam deck
A very simple to play game with easy to use controls makes it a great game to play on the steam deck with 0 compatibility issues.
Some text is quite small on the steam deck screen
Controls on the steam deck for building are a little awkward but other than that it's a great game for it
Added some other keybinds to make the play experience better
Origin launcher requires use of touch screen
Some text is small but not unbearable
Text on cards needed to be changed to large to read it clearly
Game runs super smoothly on steam deck. Controls are mapped well with the default mouse and keyboard layout and gameplay perfect.
